Stumbled upon this gem in the middle of the river walks at San Antonio. We just landed and we were looking for something to eat. We ordered the oyster, clam chowder soup and their lobster roll! Oh my goodness! I wasn't expecting that I would be impressed with their lobster roll but I devoured that lobster in less than five minutes lol. Service was excellent! We were well taken care of and the scenery was nice especially you see the people walking in the river.

Ostra is a wonderful place to dine if you're looking for fresh seafood right on the riverwalk. The outdoor seating was fantastic, as was the food. The service was 10/10! So friendly and accommodating.

A very cool place to hangout and people watch not to mention be treated like royalty while you enjoy the fine dining. The inside seating area is really nice with ample lighting and clean looks. The main reason why I decided to check this place out was mostly down to the location. It's situated on the River and pretty close to the Alamo, As far as the menu goes I think it's well balanced with a good selection of meats and seafood. I particularly like the clam linguini, which was done to perfection. The appetizer was also really amazing with a nice dish of fresh Calamari along with noodles which was well presented. I'd like to give a special mention to our server "Yaya" who really made our visit to Ostra that much more memorable.

This place is lovely. We went for restaurant week. If the weather had been warmer, I would have chosen to eat outside right on the River Walk, next to the Selena Bridge. Our server was very friendly. We enjoyed our meal.

Came here for lunch. We had the Cobb salad, which was really good. We also had the lobster and shrimp tacos, they were a bit small but very tasty. Had the yogurt parfait as a dessert and it was great. We will definitely return.

A friend and I went in for dinner and sat at the bar. I was expecting really great service and memerable food based on other reviews, but I was highly disappointed! We asked what kind of oysters they had in the bartender didn't know. Luckily the chef came out and took some time to talk about the oysters. Once we got them, they were delicious. To go with the oysters we ordered dirty martinis with blue cheese olives. The bartender didn't chill our glass. He also never came back to take our order any further. We finally cashed out and left. I will say, on a positive note, the chef was really nice and knowledgeable and the staffer working on sucking the oysters took some time to talk to us about the seafood he was making. I also thought the ambience was good for a date night. Also, the bar chairs were really comfortable.

The brunch was tasty and service was great. It is not the best brunch place in San Antonio but this was a great option before heading to the spa. We loved our bartender at the rooftop cafe which is also located in the Mokara Hotel.

So, we didn't plan a trip to San Antonio. But, due to circumstances beyond our control, here we are. Now, we consider ourselves "foodies" and travel A LOT, so I wasn't expecting to have theBEST lobster roll I've ever tasted- in TEXAS! What made it great you ask? The balance of delectable lobster filling to the perfectly toasted buttered roll. And, the best Parmesan truffle fries EVER too. You know it's going to be good when the aroma of truffles wafts up to your nose as it gets placed on the table in front of you. Not to mention the freshly grated Parmesan just floating on top like soft white fluff Service, great. Thank you Gilbert, and thank you Steven for caring enough to check on us . If there was one tiny detail that could be improved on, it's the timing out of the kitchen, but even then, it was worth the wait. Either way with all the restaurants located on the RiverWalk, we picked a real gem.

We had our anniversary dinner here. We sat outside on the Riverwalk great view. Decorated very upscale. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. My husband had the steak and I had the shrimp cocktail for my dinner. The restaurant treated us to a very yummy lavender cake for our special occasion. Bit pricey but very good

Great views on the Riverwalk. Lots of space inside. Full bar. Brunch (Sat/Sun) is perfect. Really oddly poor service for such a supposedly high end place. Service is a little slow & sloppy for the prices they ask. Maybe the GM needs to invest a bit more in training if they're trying to be so high end. Girls had no idea of half the menu. No one knew how to properly serve from the right. Asked us to reach for plates & glasses rather than walk around the table to each of us. Host guy looked me up & down and was very pretentiously dismissive (we had been traveling so not in evening wear) not knowing just the two of us were about to drop $600$/800 easily. (Ended up $760). We did the caviar service, seafood tower, wines, port, deserts. But you could get away with under $200 for just a couple drinks and mains. Overall: Food was really good. Great wine selection. Great views. Highly recommend brunch. But Super pricey for what you get at dinner. (Seafood tower was lacking crab clusters by a lot). And a basic margarita was over $20! 7/10 on the Sammi scale.

Jordan is a tremendous server: so courteous and knowledgeable. Her kind demeanor and fast but never rushed service made our experience at Ostra top notch. The food at Ostra is delicious and masterfully plated. We will be back. I hope Jordan can be our server again!

I was craving oysters and this DID NOT disappoint. We sat at the bar with Karim and he was absolutely amazing. Even gave us a taste of the ceviche appetizer he had just prepared. The homemade hot sauce that he makes for the oysters is absolutely to die for. And the female bartender (I did not catch her name) was very helpful is choosing a glass of wine the pair with. Can not wait to come back! Karim and his team are 10/10!

It was clear we were in the right spot. The curtains were drawn when we arrived, creating a cozy, intimate atmosphere. Then, after the sun set over the Bexar County Courthouse, the curtains were opened and we were treated to a beautiful view of the River Walk. The timing couldn't have been more perfect -- it completely elevated the evening. Service was outstanding. Toryn was our server, and his approach was relaxed, friendly, and professional. He checked in periodically without ever being intrusive, and our water glasses were refilled constantly without us having to ask. From the atmosphere to the service to the food, Biga on the Banks exceeded expectations. Earlier in the day I took a walk through the King William neighborhood and stumbled on this beautiful old house with an inviting vibe. We were so glad we came back for dinner. We started by sharing several dishes, all of which were spot on: Pears and Greens salad with lardons, frisée, arugula, radicchio, endive, Danish blue, and bacon vin - $16. Fresh, balanced, and perfect for sharing. Crispy Brussels Sprouts with maple, herbs, pecans, and cotija - $10. Crispy, flavorful, and addictive. Mac and Cheese - $12. For mains, Raymond steered us in all the right directions: Mustard Glazed Faroe Island Salmon with warm fingerling potatoes, parsnips, mushrooms, frisée, and herb oil - $30.
