My husband and I went to Ossobuco for the first time last night for a date night. We love a good steak and were excited to try it out. The food was good - but for the price ($150 for a ribeye, sides over $20), you would expect fantastic!! We will stick to places like Chima where you can get higher quality food for less than half of the price! The mac and cheese was good, but for $20- something dollars - we expected more than a cup size serving. Service was very inconsistent. The hostess was cold and uninviting when I requested a quieter table in a different area of the restaurant. The server had a great attitude and was knowledgeable - but he often disappeared. We had to ask for water multiple times, had to remind them we were still waiting for the wine list. And had to ask the busboy to please find him for us. When the bill came, they had automatically added a 20% service charge ($47) to our check (understandable if we were a big group, but we were just a party of 2). When a busgirl came to run the card, I politely asked if I could adjust the service charge - and with a big smile she simply replied - don't worry, tip is included! I think there was a language barrier, and I didn't want to make it awkward so we just paid the 20%. It was annoying to pay that much tip for mediocre service and overpriced food. For a $300 dinner, we were underwhelmed and definitely won't be returning. read more

I walked into the place with decent hopes but left with AMAZING feelings. From the moment we walked in, the receptionist treated us with a smile (very rare these days in Miami) and as well allowed us to pick our desired seat in their restaurant. The sommelier was really knowledgeable, and our server had a great attitude and was very helpful in selecting a few vegan options for my girlfriend. As usual, I ordered my favorite dish in the world, Branzino, and I can confidently tell you it is one of the best I've ever had in Miami. Make sure to order their Wagu potatoes, as they're to die for... (Super delicious) Not only was the food great, but the service was very friendly, and the Ambience was super classy and chill. My girlfriend ordered the Vice City Bird, the ZW Margarita. I had the Paloma, and the Golden Fashion. Drinks were 10/10. For appetizers we really enjoyed the Burrata & Shaved Zucchini and the Ossobuco Croquetas- delicious! For the main course we ordered the Picanha with Truffle fries and it was perfectly cooked and flavorful. The Picanha was topped with butter and the server torched it to perfection in front of us. Roli V was outstanding! My first time in this 3 month old restaurant and just wow. Service, atmosphere and food superseded any type of expectations I could have had. The wine selection was great plus the recommendation and knowledge from our waiter were spot on. We came on the Friday of Art Basel so the menu was different than usual per our waiter and a friend who's been here before. The seared scallops , truffle mac and cheese, lobster mac and cheese, the empanada, burrata and shaved zucchini, sweet and sour cauliflower, dry aged salmon was divine and so tender plus the skin was unbelievably crispy and perfection. The wine we chose by Roli's recommendation was the Le Baron de Malleret which was perfection on the pallet, a cold red wine, paired so well with all the dishes. The main highlight was as I wanted to take a video of the dishes on the table, Roli had an LED light that he popped out to assist which took me out LOL I can't wait to return !! So great! read more

The drinks were next level incredible! The server warned us that the espresso martini like cocktail felt like dessert to some people because of the sweet whipped ricotta topping but GO FOR IT. I like trying out the newest openings in Miami. They usually do very well to put their best foot forward. Ossobuco is a beautiful space where the kitchen central "fire" is on full display when you enter the main dining area. The service was excellent from beginning to end. Waiter and support staff were always on top of our table. The food comes out as it's prepared so all of the dishes don't sit under heat lamps etc. freshly prepared and immediately served. We ordered the skirt steak, the scallops served on a corn puree and probably the best scallops I've ever had. The gnocchi pasta with a smoky mushroom sauce with delicious as well. The menu specializes around that central fire. Most dishes include the grill and or some smoking. The dishes were thoughtful and absolutely delicious. Had a sporadic dinner and luckily they had reservations available. Had to wait about 30 minutes for the table but luckily there is a bar where you can sit and have a couple of drinks while you wait. It has a cozy dimly lit atmosphere with an outside area that looks more like it's still part of the inside. Ordered the Paloma, ZW margarita, and Vice City Buddy. GREAT cocktails! The bartender was great, too, and made sure she paired us with the right drink. Easy & tasty sips even though the alcohol is definitely there. The Ossobuco Empanada and Croqueta were our starters and gives you an opportunity to savor the Ossobuco meat the restaurant is named after. Both have great flavor and the herb aioli accompanying the empanada is a great dipping sauce. The macaroni and cheese wasn't our favorite, it was watery and bland. It was missing that cheese flavor you expect. The dry Aged Branzino had a nice light flavor and was accompanied well with the radish salad. Filet Mignon and tenderloin were cooked well to temp, although they were on the saltier side. Would definitely consider going back for the cocktails alone! read more

I really had high hopes. They were let down, slowly; as the night progressed. The good? The restaurant has a nice vibe and it is very nice esthetically. We had the worst waiter. I envied the table next to us... their waiter, a heavy set, young man, was fantastic. This guy made you want to order. Too bad we had already ordered, because he was full of suggestions. We got the empanada and croquettas, they were good. For our main course we shared a NY strip and a pasta dish. The NY strip was supposed to be medium, it came out rare. Our waiter never came back, so we had no choice but to eat it like that. Infuriating. He didn't check on us once until way after we were done. At that point, we ordered dessert and coffee. We picked the cookie (and later heard the banana or pineapple desserts were the favorites). Coffee never came out, waiter was again MIA. We finished dessert and waited about 20 min for waiter to come back. At that point he asked if we got the coffee? Really? This is 20 min after we finished dessert. Such a joke. We asked for the check and had to wait forever to get that. Of course the 20 percent is included. No wonder. He was getting paid and we were getting forced into PAYING For his terrible service. Anyway, I feel the food was not worth the money or the experience. I really wanted to love this place, esp after hearing the owner was from Argentina. We were in Argentina this summer and went to a restaurant with a similar concept and we loved it. Were hoping to have same here. Not the case at all. :( read more
