We just ordered via door dash this am. Wow! Absolutely different and delicious. Vegetarian: 1- Tofu Sprout taco: tasty sauce! Brussels sprouts were soft & flavorful. I added the crispy tofu. It gave it a extra crunch. 2- San Diego with Soy & Tofu: My favorite one! It was perfection. 3-Boise: I think it was missing flavor. I wasn't impressed. Non Vegetarians Hubby: 1- Carne Asada San Diego: loved it!! 2- Carne Asada Tex mex: Lots of flavor. 3- Pork Fried Rice: He was surprised because it worked on a taco Beautifully. A local gem! All the tacos here are great. This last time I went I confirmed that the St Augustine shrimp taco is indeed my fav. But I also tried the pork fried rice taco and that was really interesting! Skip the chips and salsa/guacamole and go for an extra taco instead. Counter service is quick and easy. Pretty damn good. Perfect little place to grab lunch on your way back from the beach. The service was great, and they had a handful of solid vegan options, including sauces like sriracha aioli - what a nice surprise! And I always like to see a nice collection of Hyppo pops for dessert. Despite being next to the highway, the outdoor area was quite nice, with most street noise buffered by tropical trees. This small taco shack is on Anastasia Island not far from the Bridge of Lions. All the tables are outdoors, which was great on a perfect spring day, and customers can take their food to tables at the Old Coast Ales brewery that shares the same building. For my first visit to this establishment I had the Saint Augustine taco, which contains fried shrimp, datil sauce, cabbage, pickled onions and pink sauce, and the carne asada street taco Tex-Mex style, which had the meat plus cheddar cheese, sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes and onions. Normally it has fresh cilantro but I asked to leave that out -- I'm one of the mutants who thinks cilantro tastes like soap. With no cilantro in either taco I loved them, and pairing the meal with a craft beer IPA from next door was a good time. St. Augustine is a quality oceanside taco town. read more

I love some of the more unusual combos, like the Sprout (Brussels sprout taco) and the San Diego (steak and fries with avocado) and I really enjoy the salsas and queso. Osprey Tacos is, hands down, the best taco shop in St. Augustine. I CRAVE their food. It literally gets in my head and won't leave until I treat myself. The owners and staff are always friendly and courteous. It's a small shop, with a walk up counter, a counter and barstools inside, and some great picnic tables in the shade of some beautiful foliage outside. You can even take your order next door to Old Coast Ales, and get a craft beer to enjoy with your meal. We like to sometimes take our to go boxes to St. Augustine beach and enjoy an impromptu picnic, as well. My favorites are the Boulevard Tacos with corn tortillas. If I can only eat two, I will get the San Diego (with skirt steak, crispy fries, avocado, cilantro, onion & salsa verde) and the Pork Fried Rice (with crispy pork, griddled fried rice, sriracha, hoisin, and scallions). If I can fit a third, it's either the St Augustine or The Sprout. I get the mild house sauce and I am always down for a side of crispy, perfectly salted chips and salsa or guacamole. Osprey can make any taco into a bowl, and also serves traditional and street tacos as well. I would probably eat here several times a week if I could! Thanks for being my favorite! read more

Service was great, we utilized the online ordering and we got our food with in 20mins even during the after church lunch crowd. Although that showed with the lack of flavor in the 4 San Diego Burritos and 1 St. Augustine burrito. You can tell they used fresh ingredients yet however the meal was seriously lacking in flavor and spices. I don't believe that they have so many good reviews. My group stopped in at this quaint little place and thought it had a good vibe. You walk up and order, then sit outside and they will bring it to you. On a side note, the mosquitoes were horrendous the night we were there and it was about 7 pm. It was so bad we rushed our meal and got the heck out of there- not their fault, but we would get it to go next time. Maybe they could put our some citronella plants or torches? All of the tacos we tried were good, some better than others but that is personal preference, none of them were bad! So try anything you think sounds good and I am sure you will be pleased! Went here on a friend's suggestion, and the wife and I tried 6 different tacos- Boise Crispy Tofu San Diego Chorizo Pork Fried Rice Cheeseburger Staff was friendly, and there is a nice vibe to the place. Busy, clean, honest (there's a sign mentioning the likely wait for the food and you'll be waiting) Once we got the food we left to eat it at our hotel room, since there was no room at one of the picnic tables on the outside patio and it was about 100 degrees outside. The tacos themselves are hit and miss- Boise and San Diego were by far the best, Chorizo and Pork Fried Rice were ok, and the other two were nothing to write home about. Considering they were about $5 each, not a bad deal per se, but not a place I'll be hurrying to return to. read more

Some on flour tortillas, a couple on corn tortillas and we ordered them A Street tacos, Boulevard tacos, and Tex-Mex style. Also got chips and guacamole. Counter help was excellent, friendly, helpful, engaged and polite. Tacos were delicious by themselves or with one of three salsas provided. The tacos were full, loaded with the protein of choice, and filling. Nice interpretation of street tacos. The guacamole was chunky and fresh and delicious. Tiny little place packed a huge punch today! Not to mention it was packed- even with the dreary conditions and their seating is mainly outside under cover at picnic tables- still a line to order and tables were packed. I was looking at the brewery next door when a review mentioned the awesome taco joint and we discovered our next destination! We opted to eat first and were so happy. The counter to order is just a single register with menu board above. Easy enough to choose while standing in line. I ordered a ground beef Tex-Mex style taco, husband order the chicken and the boy got a shrimp taco. We also added a churro as a treat. 10 minutes later we had our food walked out to us. We weren't super hungry- we really just wanted a snack and this served us well. All of us shut up to eat up and the tacos all vanished quickly! All of the ingredients were fresh- Each of us very satisfied. The churro was the icing on the cake- hmmm love the warm, freshly made, cinnamon-y goodness! Great taco place. Service is fast. The taco creations are varied & cool. I'm a carnivore but I think my favorite tacos are the avocado taco & the Brussels Sprout taco. So good. The building is attached to Old Coast Ales (which is highly recommend too). The one thing I'd criticize is that SOMETIMES the food is crazy salty. One time, the grilled fish taco was so salty... like really bad. This last time I was there, one of my Brussels sprout tacos was beyond salty. Visiting my friend in St. Augustine she asked where I wanted to eat. Out of all the chain restaurants, I only wanted to go to Chipotle. On our way to Chipotle, she asked me if I wanted to try something new and local. I said HELL YEAH; alas, we ended up at Osprey. Plenty of taco/bowl options. Not a ton, but just enough to not be overwhelming, while still making it hard to choose which one you want to try. I don't live here, so obvi wanted to try them all. They had a chef special Cauliflower taco that was absolutely Devine. I'd totally order this again. Pork fried rice was good, as well as the potato one. I also ordered a steak taco bowl. This was just ok. Some of the pieces of steak were really tender. Most were tough. And a huge no no? The steak wasn't seasoned, IMO. The service was impeccable and friendly. This place was recommended (by a stranger ) for someplace with vegan/vegetarian options. OMG, I'm so glad I tried it... So you know I keep it real with nothing but my honest opinion, let me first get the "bad" outta the way. Okay, so I went during the week and it was sorta early afternoon. It seems I got there just before the lunch rush so I didn't have any issues, but be aware that parking in the lot is limited. That's it. That's the only sorta bad but not-so-bad thing I can think of for this place. It's a small little joint but lemme tell you they are working with some BIG flavors in there! The lady behind the counter was super friendly and helpful. They had lots of tacos to choose from. That day their special The herbivore (vegan) was highly recommended. I got that and The St. Augustine, a shrimp taco. (I typically look for vegan and vegetarian but I'm a flexitarian, so I will eat whatever I'm feeling like at the moment, I just happen to be in a season of leaning more to the plant-based side). So yeah, the tacos are street taco size and you have the choice of corn or flour tortillas. I went with flour. They both were SO good. Stuffed with the right amount of food to be satisfying but not overstuffed to where it's falling out and messy, I'd say they have the portions just right. The outside seating is a nice covered area with plants around. Very nice for bright, sunny days like the day I was there. The tables are long, make for communal style seating and chatting it up with new people. The chips and guacamole were good also. Oh, I had them leave of the datil pepper sauce from the St. Augustine b/c I don't do heat, so my review/tastebuds are based on that. So at first glance I thought this taco place located next to a brewery got its 5 stars because people get hungry in a brewery. Eh wrong. Came here after a few beers and was ready for some TACOS. I definitely wanted the Cuban taco. It says Cuban? Gimme. It was pulled pork with prosciutto Swiss cheese and mustard like a Cuban! Delicious and perfect as a taco. So good. We also got the fried chicken taco and the pork fried rice. That fried chicken taco was so good. The chicken was crispy and it went along perfect with the mayo and cole slaw. Pork fried rice came in clutch with the Asian flair. Tasty. We devoured all the tacos. The tacos were a bit pricey (4.50 a taco) but it was worth it. Each taco was packed with flavor and ingredients. Tacos + beer = my kind of Friday night. We came here to knock off two local businesses on The Blvd and we left so, so satisfied. In my opinion, the standout taco was the "St. Augustine." The largest fried shrimp nestled inside a fresh tortilla with cabbage and pickled red onions...WOW. I couldn't shovel this down fast enough. The flavors were even more massive than the shrimp! Don't get me wrong, the Fresh Catch and Carnitas were delicious too. Just like a parent having a favorite child (although they'll never admit it), the St. Augustine Taco is an absolute must order. After a brief wait surrounded by leafy plants and the cheerful tones of the institution, our waiter--a young man with a charming smile--greeted us and served what was about to become one of the most flavorful tacos I've ever taken a bite of. My experience with the Pollo Asado taco tasted like how it feels to drive a 1971 Ford Bronco--cool, savory, and invigorating. The marriage created by the blend of pickled onion and some of the thinnest sliced radish my palette has come across in 16 years left me satisfied yet hungering for more.
