The Only Review You Need To Read We've seen this place every time we've visited this plaza, and during our most recent trip, people leaving the restaurant raved to us about how good it was. So we finally decided to try it. There were lots of items on the menu which sounded tasty, but I opted for a bowl of cream of crab soup as my starter with the wood-fired shrimp & bacon club sandwich as my entree. And my funny little hunny ordered the honey salmon & shrimp plate. The cream of crab was merely okay, though it was topped with a nice amount of crab meat. The shrimp & bacon sandwich was really good (made even better with honey mustard sauce on the side). My girlfriend complained that the seasoning on her shrimp dish was too spicy (and we learned afterwards we could order it without the seasoning), and the salmon was okay. The jasmine rice was very dry and she didn't even finish it. Our server Kelly was very friendly and attentive, and her laugh made us both smile. The gender identifiers on the restroom doors were pretty funny, and the ambience was very nice. There is a bar area in the back, and I'm sure the place gets pretty busy around dinner time, then more energized later into the night. Overall, it was a very pleasurable experience and given that there were so many other delicious-sounding items on the menu, we definitely will be back.

We have visited Eldersburg for years and often passed the shopping center in which Oscar's Alehouse is located without stopping in. The restaurant has a deceptively small appearance from the exterior. Once you enter, the place is rather large, with multiple dining rooms and extends farther back than the parking lot and storefront appear. On a busy Friday night, we were seated immediately. The guests all appeared to b enjoying themselves. Note, it is loud. People are in conversation, there are televisions on and lots of hustle and bustle. We ordered the Three Cheese Crab Dip off the appetizer menu. The appetizer is amply sized and plenty for two to four people. Served with grilled ciabatta bread and tortilla chips, we had enough dippers for the whole dip without having to ask for more. We also tried a cup of the cream of crab soup, which had plenty of flavor, between the crabmeat and Old Bay seasoning. Finally, we split the the Eldersburger, a nice quarter or 1/3 lb burger topped with cheddar cheese and applewood smoked bacon. Despite the crowd, our server was attentive and returned several times to refill drinks and provided change swiftly. The menu is pretty extensive and there were craft sandwiches and pizza options we'd like to try when we return!

I'm pretty sure I've reviewed this place and if I haven't shame on me. Oscars is one of my few repeat spots. I love that special menu changes with the seasons although I wish one of my favs ( chicken gumbo) could be on the menu year round. They did take my favorite dish, the open face meatloaf sandwich off the menu, broke my heart. I have never had a disappointment with anything that I've ordered. I'll get around to trying the pizza one day....i hear it's worth a try.

The reviews seemed promising but not sure why people like this place? It seems like a nice place for a happy hour & night out but we stopped by since we were in town for something else. The food was just ok. Wasn't a fan of it but it could have been my choice since I got the ahi tuna wrap. The other food looks better but stomach was not feeling it so I needed something light. Service was ok & ambiance was silly - the restaurant had some quirky decor that I thought was fun.

Pulled pork sandwich with onion rings, really good.

We still continue to love this place (repeat customer). This time my 11 year old tried food from the adult menu and loved it. This is turning into one of our staples for daddy daughter dates. The people are great and you have options... if you want more of an uppers sale sit down, you have the front area - if you want a sports bar, head to the back.

Had a great time at Oscars Alehouse! If your in Eldersburg, and you haven't been to Oscars, your doing it wrong! Oscars has more beers than one would expect in Carroll County. Lagers, heferweizen, IPA's on tap and in bottles or cans. Great appetizers. Well done paella. Hamburgers, fries, nachos and other bar necessities. And the back bar has multiple TV's. Service was excellent. Great atmosphere to spend some Time.

Always great food! But I don't miss the Buffalo Chicken Dip and wish it was still on the menu.

Ordered the pizza. Big mistake. Would have preferred a slice from 7-11 over this plastic pie

We want to be seated...... Once we were seated it took awhile for sever to come over. I actually had to stop one of the serves walking around to ask if anyone was working this section. Finally the person behind the bar came over to take our order. The food is delicious. I love when real corn beef is on the menu and not just on a Reuben. The Irish grits were a new thing I didn't know I needed. The flavors gel so well together. I'll go back again to try dinner but I sure hope for a better reception.

Seasonal Soup: Creamy Chipotle Chicken Soup Corned Beef n' Cabbage Chicken Pot Pie Smoked Chicken Wings Cruzan & Ginger Ale Cruzan & Pineapple It was happy hour, and everything was amazing. The beverages were discounted. The food was great, and the atmosphere was cool. This evening happened to be their Wine Pairing Dinner evening. It was fun to watch the crowd of customers anticipate their 3-4 course meal w pairings. I researched afterward and saw they're just about monthly, $65 which is a steal, and it appears they sell out. Definitely worth participating. I have 50 11 food allergies so I may have to sit this one out. Another great visit down in the books!!

A lunch reservation required on a weekday? Really. At Glyndon Grill, unless you are arriving by…read moresay 1:45am, the answer seems to be a resounding yes. By the time we left at 12:30pm, not a speare table was seen. And Glyndon Grill serves its popularity. What makes a lunch spot (they are open for dinner too) so very popular. Adjacency to the always-popular-and-stellar Santoni's Market cannot hurt, not can the upscale neighborhood, but come for the food and service. I was focused on health-conscious fare, the the menu offered a diversity of intriguing choices. My premixed (with dressings on the side) Cobb Salad was wonderful. I could choose just how much of the mouth-watering fried chicken morsels I did and did not ant to eat, calorically. My tablemate, also watching pounds and inches, got the grilled salmon with broccoli. Neither could have been better. Best of all was our waitress Anne. Ask for her by name. Supreme professionalism dripped from her every word and action. Attentiveness and pleasant without being obtrusive at all. Yes she probably wanted to turn the table (but you could not tell unless you intuited that fact), and we accommodated because her happiness made us happy too.

However, I had to repeatedly flag her down to place our order and again later to request boxes after our food arrived. During this interaction, her tone also came across as somewhat dismissive and unprofessional when I explained that we were on a time constraint due to a meeting. After paying the bill, I was interrupted as I was leaving and asked whether I had accidentally given her the wrong receipt copy. Once it was confirmed that the receipt was correct, she directly questioned why she had not received a tip and whether she had done something wrong. While I understand that tipping is an important part of the restaurant industry, I personally base tips on the overall quality, attentiveness, and professionalism of the service experience. In this case, I did not feel the service went beyond basic expectations. What made the situation especially unacceptable was then being called "rude" as I was leaving the establishment. Regardless of differing opinions on tipping, I believe those conversations should be handled professionally and privately. The interaction left me disappointed and will make me reconsider returning in the future.

This was our first time here, as on prior occasions we found the line too daunting. We were surprised when another 4:15pm patron was led to their reserved table, but we learned that their planning and caution was well-founded. We discovered the popularity of Bolder to be well-deserved. Seeking lite fare for an early dinner, calorie conscious, we both navigated the tempation-filled menu with success. We thoroughly enjoyed the bison burger and turkey club, the latter being sufficiently sample for a split lunch the next day too. Service was rock-solid and very efficient. We definitely hope to be back soon. And we will make a reservation. Dress code is casual.

It's a little bit off 70, but not bad. First off, this restaurant has an incredibly oversized parking lot. Maybe the restaurant has areas I didn't see, but I was a little bemused. Inside, it's decorated a bit like an old lady house with country accents. It's welcoming and nice, if a little old. I was seated and served quickly. My waitress was great. I ordered French onion soup and a bison burger with sweet potato fries. The French onion soup came out first. It had a huge layer of cheese on top, but it tasted like white cheddar. The soup itself was good at first but started getting bitter. I discovered a huge bay leaf in it. That explains that. Guys, leaving a bay leaf hidden in French onion soup is a violation of Article 35(2) of the Additional Protocol I to the Geneva Conventions. My sweet potato fries were seasoned with a chipotle cinnamon blend. It was weirdly sweet and clashed with the burger. I didn't care for it and honestly feel like if you're going to season with something weird, you should be abundantly clear. The burger was a disappointment. It was fairly basic. It was cooked right, but every so often I would get a burst of salt. I suspect the meat was salted and not well mixed. My burger, fries, and side of soup came to over $40. I am honestly being more critical of them because of that. At that price point, I expect REALLY good, not salt pockets, a left-in bay leaf, and weird seasonings.
