Ordered online. Consistent text messages received concerning my order. Food was ready when they said it would be ready. I ordered the Chimichanga Bites & Dip. They were fried perfectly and were delicious. The accompanying chipotle cheese sauce was excellent. The main dish was Carne Asada Tacos (Grilled steak). The steak was semi-tender with good seasoning and taste. The fixings were fresh, and the serving sizes were in proportion to the taco sizes. The staff was professional. We are fairly new to the area still and moved from out of state. We are huge foodies and have traveled many countries. This is is the second time I have ordered from them and each time I ordered birria because I liked them when I have tried them at previous restaurants. First I ordered it as birria quesadilla and it was good but the meat was a bit dry. Second time I orderer it as tacos and the meat again was pretty dry but the cheese helped with that and the consomme of course. Which the sauce is delicious. This time I ordered the Al Pastor Tacos tacos because I love them. They are my fav and type od tacos and I ordered them to try. All I can say is that is NOT al pastor, sadly. So it has bbq sauce on it and the meat wa extremely dry. They are a good taco if you ordered it as whatever they are trying to go for but it is not al pastor. The rice and beans are not too bad. A tad dry rice and the chips and salsa is what you normally would be served when you sit in at a restaurant. All in all its not bad! I wasn't sure of what drink to order after finding out about the millionaire drink (wink) too pricy for me last night but will return once the government shutdown ends to order the millionaire drink (another wink). Jonathan asked if he could suggest another drink for me and I obliged. When I tell you that was THE BEST MARGARITA I'VE EVER HAD! I the chicken/beef enchiladas w/rice and veggies. I can't really remember what my husband had but it looked similar to an enchilada but was steak and that steak was tender and seasoned soooo good! We had cinnamon churros with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream oh my goodness so delicious! This will be one of my regular places to eat and drink. Cinco remains a solid experience. Food isn't straight from Oaxaca or Chihuahua, but it's still flavorful and well prepared. Enchiladas are good. My friend likes the carnitas here, she says the pork is tender. 12/2/2. We got an order delivered by door dash from the Westminister, MD Cinco de Mayo that was about $70.00, the food was fantastic! One of our items ordered was the ultimate fajitas, unfortunately the wraps and sour cream for the taco salad were not in the bag when delivered. We ordered on a Saturday night from our job, when we called and told them what had happened and we could not leave that is why we paid $70.00 for door dash to deliver. An employee actually hopped in the car and brought wraps and sour cream and a gift certificate to our job. Exceptional customer service from the restaurant, to many times people fail to let everyone know the positives. I cannot say enough about how much my co-worker and I appreciated the above and beyond that this restaurant went to to help us enjoy our dinner the only way we could. Craving Mexican so I gave this place a try. Save your money and go to Taco Bell! Chips were okay but salsa was like ketchup. Ordered chicken enchiladas, wait staff warned of hot plate which was. I only wish the food was hot. Chicken was cold in the center, tough and extremely dry. Couldn't cut an enchilada with a fork! Flavor was bland and more than ever I regretted my decision to try this place. Lastly, piped in music was dated and loud which added insult to an already disappointing flavorless lunch. If I can save one person from making the same mistake I made, then this review is worth it. This is just another tired strip mall Mexican restaurant that needs to be shut down. The margarita was average. The wait for the chips and salsa was long. Very long. The salsa was ok. Decent thickness, so it stuck to chips plenty well. The flavor of the salsa was on the bland side. Not bad, just ok. I had the carnitas plate. Ordered the charro beans and received black beans. Couldn't eat them as they were beyond salty. The carnitas were at least 4 billion times saltier than the beans. Completely inedible. How this stuff passes for Mexican food, or even food for that matter is a wonder. Someone should be testing the food. I can not believe that passed muster. Way too manybother options to waste money there. read more

Cinco de Mayo is a perfectly adequate Mexican restaurant. For Carroll county it's probably the good stuff. But I expect more from my Mexican places. Even as a vegetarian I can usually can get more. They did have a small vegetarian section with about four entrées. But they mostly substituted Mexican mashed potatoes for cheese. While surprising and unexpected mashed potatoes do not make up for cheese in a chili relleno. The menu said they were poblano peppers stuffed with potatoes but it was more like miniature peppers with a glob of mashed potatoes on them. The salsa was adequate. The service was very good. Free chips and salsa (best salsa!), food comes out fast, and the atmosphere is decorative and fun! You cannot go wrong with any dish - and if any dish is very spicy, they will "warn" you! I usually get something different each time I go, and I've never been disappointed. They do charge quite a bit for extras (sour cream, tortillas, etc), so just be mindful of that. read more

They have pretty good margaronas (coronaritas)! Their queso is so different from anywhere else's: kinda like the white velvets cheese sauce but actually pretty good not gonna lie. A friend and I dined at Cinco de May of this week for the first, last, and only time. A cheese quesadilla made with a 10" flour tortilla (worth maybe 10 cents), and about 2 oz of cheese (worth maybe 40 cents) folded in the tortilla, along with a dollop of sour cream for $12.99 is completely outrageous. A glass of iced tea was more than I have paid anywhere, ever at $3.25, and no refill was offered. While I understand that some food items have increased in price due to inflation, this is absurd. I read the reviews after we ate here. Searching for a place to eat and was hungry for this type of food. We were here at off time (2pm) and we were seated within seconds of walking in the door. Waitress was able to give some recommendations. One of us got a margarita, a little on the strong side, but was good. Don't drink these a lot so I can't compare to others. Food was quick from order to table. Both of us were full when we left and would come back here again. Chips and Salsa to start was a good taste, not spicy hot, but really good taste. Chicken Chipotle salad, was really good. If it was a perfect world, they would have sprinkled cheese on it as well. But really great taste. Leftovers were also good the next day.
