Bees Knees

Our party of three enjoyed The Liquid Library! We started with the famous Chicken Lollipops, and now we understand why they're a fan favorite. These soy, ginger, and sriracha-marinated drumsticks bathed in chimichurri sauce are sweet, salty, and full of umami flavor. The meat was fall-off-the-bone tender and incredibly juicy. We also shared the Surf and Turf Steak Sandwich, a perfect combination of shrimp, steak, arugula, and a smoky chipotle sauce. You know it's a great sandwich when every bite is balanced and every ingredient complements the next. And of course, you can't come to The Liquid Library without talking about the perfectly balanced, and downright delicious cocktails. I couldn't wait to come back to enjoy a yummy drink! The Basil Limoncello Smash was bright and refreshing, the Coconut Mojito (a must-try for coconut lovers!) was tropical perfection, and the Banana Bread Mai Tai that tastes exactly like banana bread! Black walnut infusion? Genius! As a Bees Knees fan, I had to order one too, and it was spot on. Finally, a big shoutout to Lou, our server, who was attentive, friendly, and seated us at a perfect spot by the window. Excellent service to match excellent food and drinks. We'll absolutely be back as The Liquid Library is something unique!

Highly recommend this cool restaurant and bar. Felt welcome as soon as we walked in. Very busy Friday night but we were lucky to grab a seat at the bar. Huge menu of cocktails that all sounded amazing. The bartenders are so talented and very helpful with recommendations on food and drinks. The owner, Andrew checked on us and was so kind and could tell he's passionate about his business. We enjoyed the dirty martini dip and lynora pizza, along with the tequila espresso martini and Australian lychee martini. Really cool location and we'll definitely be back.

My daughter and I stopped by this place because we were walking by and needed dinner before driving home. It looked fun and nice and I am glad I gave it a shot. The food was pretty good. We got the meatballs and the veggie pizza. The meatballs were huge and seasoned perfectly. They were juicy and had a lot of meat in it without being dense. The bite was light and airy. The sauce was tangy and had a nice touch of acidity. It went well with the bread. The pizza was huge and I liked how there was a lot of veggie toppings on it. The pizza was a tad too watery on the bottom for me, but it was still good (not a huge deal breaker). There is a lot of cheese on the pizza which I wasn't the biggest fan of either, but it was still tasty. Service was good and they wait staff was friendly and attentive. I liked the seating outside. It was relaxing and peaceful to sit outside. I would go back to this spot if I am ever visiting main street in Westminster.

Excellent service with servers, bartenders, and management that is engaged and wants every patron to have a great experience. These are crafted cocktails so don't expect anything quickly out of a bottle. Their drinks are tasty and well balanced and the food especially the wood fired pizzas are something to write home about. This is a business worth visiting and supporting. Quite excellent!

Overall we had a good experience. Very busy but the food came out quickly and was good. All very good portion sizes. We did have a table near the kitchen but was told prior to sitting that it was warm, which it was.

This is an amazing place- not quite speakeasy, pub or restaurant but a very near perfect blend of all three. Drinks and food were amazing- customer service some of the best I've experienced since moving to the area and the environment at Liquid Library is ideal- I haven't even been up to the patio yet!

Theres seating at the bar and a couple tables. We sat at the bar and were greeted quickly. We ordered a few drinks and the bartender was very nice to talk to. She is very passionate about the art of drink making and shared her tips and tricks. She makes a great espresso martini but would probably make you anything you asked for and would enjoy the chance to be creative. We ordered a brie platter which was decent. It was what we were looking for (not a heavy meal). They have wine for sale in the back, as well as assorted ciders, seltzers, and beers. A bit pricey in my opinion for certain items, but that's okay! They have coffee and t shirts for sale too. Dogs are allowed here and the locals seem to know each other and the bartenders know their names too. Very nice and homey to go somewhere that everyone knows each other!! Would recommend this place to anyone.

Well it all worked out how it was supposed to because the food, ambiance, and service were great here! Water carafes were provided to the table & we ordered several drinks. All of the cocktails were beautiful, colorful and had curated understated garnishes. I enjoyed the jalapeño lime fizz, one of the non-intoxicants. Food took a little longer than expected but it was worth the wait. The red pepper pesto with linguine was creamy and rich and topped with fresh Parmesan. I only wish I'd had a piece of bread to sop up the sauce at the end! I'd be interested in trying their brunch and lunch options if I'm in the area again. Our server, Tom, was attentive. The bathrooms are clean and nicely warm thanks to a heater. We all had a great time.

We made a last-minute decision to try for some of the nightly jazz (except Monday) at 18th & 21st on a Friday evening (Oct 2025), hip-ly named for the prohibition amendment and repeal :-) There's a free parking garage right across from the entrance of the building they share with a sister restaurant, Cured. We arrived in the bright seasonally-decorated welcoming lobby about 7:50pm. We ought to have made reservations, but in under 10min, the reception staff took us to the more intimate room towards the back where we were seated at at the bar, which is really what we wanted. When we arrived, the 6pm jazz band had just gone on break, so we felt free to chat with friendly regulars and with the bar staff. They have a changing list of ten craft beers from $6 to $21, plus one $6 non-alcoholic brew. Five of the $14-$35 per-glass vintage wines from their list of 17 are preserved with the "corovin" system that keeps air out, so they are never "corked". We focussed on their list of 11 crafted $13-$22 cocktails plus 5 non-alcoholic ones, all made with quality ingredients, each naming the staff member(s) (and guests) who formulated the recipe! We found Alex's $16 Fernetinez sublimely sweet: of bitter fernet amaro, Frederick-based locally-sourced award-winning McClintock One Last Time gin (exclusive for 18th&21st), smooth Luxardo liqueur, and a sweet vermouth. We loved the aroma and flavor of the classic Smoked Old Fashioned of bourbon from Kentucky's 10th-oldest distillery, Green River, moved to a mild well-rounded sweetness by brown sugar simple syrup, smoked in front of me by Mike (if i remember), with added richness from smoky bitters. They have a creative menu of $30 to $65 entrees, plus salads, small plates, apps, and sides, and they have a changing menu of small plates. We really hadn't planned on eating, but we couldn't resist. The $17 duck bao buns had thin tender filets with a sweet lightly-salty apricot-soy glaze and a tangy crunchy pickled cucumber slaw on a soft folded yeasted slightly-sweet white-flour bun. The $12 pair of fried fresh-tasting oysters were sweet and juicy with a light-flavored crunchy crust. They were so yummy, and easy to enjoy with our cocktails. Rodney Kelly's jazz band was excellent, playing with spirit, joking with each other and the audience, even staging a song or two with a skilled member of the restaurant staff. Afterwards we had brief moments with some of the band members, like an intimate jazz club. Later in the evening, i also had a Turkish Sunset, a Manhattan-variation created in a collaboration among the staff and a guest (Well-done Ozzie!). I love Elijah Craig, and wanted to try their dry toasted rye, with housemade allspice dram syrup, Small Hands grenadine, and bitters. By now, i felt very much at home with the staff, and when i learned that one of them had helped formulate this beverage, i confided that its amazing complexity was, for me, just a touch too dry. Alex (if i remember) considered the ingredients and the target flavors, and added just a touch of a sweet lemony liqueur, perfectly complimenting the recipe's flavors! Real-time crafting goes above and beyond, Thank you! (And when they next update the menu, maybe they'll have a custom option named for me :-)
