Came here on a date and had a very nice experience. The food was really good, the service was also very good and it had a nice ambiance to the restaurant. It was actually multiple locations in one as it looked like they had a separate bar area. They had multiple TVs in the part that we were sitting in which was great so I could watch a little bit of football and baseball. There was lots of sports memorabilia around on the walls. We had to wait about 35 minutes for our table but that was not too bad and it was worth the wait because the food was delicious. I started with a bowl of crab soup which wasn't too big but just the right size. They brought out rolls and the rolls were good and just the right size. I then had the jumbo lump crab cakes. They were really good but I wasn't expecting them to be a small as they were. I'm a connoisseur of crab cakes and I go all around the area to try the best and though these were jumbo lump with no filler, I expected them to be quite a bit larger. That's probably the only negative of the evening. I contemplated dessert but I was pretty full. My date got the crab dip which was really big and looked really good and the steak quesadillas. She said everything tasted delicious. Our server was fantastic and she took care of all of our needs and kept checking on us regularly. In the future I will make a reservation so that we aren't waiting but overall everything went really well and I highly recommend a visit here. read more

We found Greenmount Station by using the Yelp! App. We were not disappointed! Awesome service; fair prices nice ambiance. We sat in the sports memorabilia room; the room next to us was decorated with historic Maryland photos. They had a good crowd. They have a nice tap menu. Food was good as always. Our issue was with our server and the prices being incorrect. Our server Ava took our order, and then she did not check on our table until we were all finishing our food. Despite coming in and out of the area 5+ times after the food runner delivered our food. The manager, Lisa (I believe?), was wonderful. She checked on us shortly after we received our food, got us napkins, and got me the lettuce that was forgotten for my meal. (I ordered a burger with lettuce instead of a bun, it came out as a plain burger on a plate...). Our server should have been the one to catch that error but she didn't check on us. Our main issue outside of the lackluster service was the menu prices. I ordered the surf & turf burger. Their website lists it as $13.99. The menu lists it as $19.75. Our bill lists it as $20.25. We didn't check the prices of the other items we ordered, though we should have. We questioned the server and she said the restaurant had a price increase. Which, fair enough, I understand inflation and this economy. The problem was the price you show, legally, needs to be the price you charge. Technically this could be called a bait & switch. If the prices are updated, the menu needs to be updated - both online and in person. Or at the very least, let customers know when they order "our menu prices have increased but we are waiting on our new menus to be printed". Imagine calling in a pickup order, expecting to pay $13.99 as the website lists it, and then ending up being charged $20.25? That's a significant difference. read more

Greenmount Station is one of my family's go to spots. The food is delicious, friendly service, and the restaurant is always busy (it can be a bit noisy at times). This time I got the crabcake sandwich broiled with cheese melted on top with fries. My mom got the same thing as me, my sister got chicken fingers and my dad got the chicken smithfield sub. We sat in the bar area. Despite it being incredibly busy, we didn't feel like we had to wait to order, for refills, or were ever looking around for a server. Food was very good and came out quickly. Nope, I will say our food was consistently average. My burger was under cook, wifes salad was a bit wilted but ok. The service sucked, unless you are a regular you are absolutely ignored. We were sitting at bar, and I had to all but grab the bartender to get service. Those that give this place 5 stars must love average food, or have not ever had quality Pub Food. The food here used to be good but recently we ordered the Szechuan beef--the portion size was small, the bed of rice it came on was weirdly crispy, and the house side salad had old soggy lettuce. Had we actually had eaten there at the restaurant and not ordered it as a pick-up, I would have sent it all back. Also, the service there is slow and the ladies doing check out seem grumpy and miserable. Very disappointed waited 35 minutes for carry out was told 20 minutes. Figured at least the food would be hot when I got home 5 minutes away but was cold. We got the specials, seafood pasta and the blackened chicken with a loaded baked potato. The chicken was over cooked, pasta was too thick and everything was basically bland. The baked potato was in carry carton where they also put the butter which was melted by the baked potato and cheese and bacon on potato was clumped and potato overcooked. I have not been here for at least 5 years. My last memory of this was about a little less than impressive. So today I was here for a little late lunch. The place was very busy. We were seated rather quickly. Service was on top of things throughout the meal. They were knowledgeable of the menu and were professional. I personally ordered the tacos trio. They were absolutely delicious. And I would recommend them.i also ordered the French onion soup. That too was a lot !! Better than average. I would recommend that also. Spare ribs were ordered at the table and everyone said that they are some of the better ones that they had in a long while. So with the presentation of the meal and of everything this place was a hit today. My wonder was my soda order came in a bottle not fountain style..So I do recommend this place and I look forward on coming back. Five stars today I believe they earned it. read more

She was so good and so funny we had an absolute ball with her the entire evening. We were a party of 6 and each of us tried something different. We had the shrimp basket, 1/2 rack of ribs, Chesapeake chicken, blackened chicken wrap, angus burger, and crab fries. Arrived as a party of 16 after a soccer game. At first we were told they couldn't accommodate us because they we booked with reservations. While we were deciding want to do next we were told they would open the covered outdoor patio for us. The room was perfect! Spacious and warmed up quickly with the heat lamps. On the other hand, when I asked my wife how is your shrimp salad sandwich she just said it's ok. I tried a fork of the shrimp salad and she was right. Very bland with Very little seasoning. The shrimp was just a piece of shrimp somewhat steamed and Not like Shrimp Salad that I have had or better still anything like the salad that I make myself. Bottom line, we won't be spending our time & money to go back. I do not have an issue with there being a waiting list, but you need to advise patrons when they walk in the door. You don't have someone sit down and then tell them after they have settled in.
