    Tomato caprese appetizer
    Jude T.

A fancy Italian restaurant, I guess. I enjoyed my food here a lot, and service was good, but the hostess sat my partner and I upstairs, alone, and I feel like it's because we both have dyed hair. Seems like a Westminster thing to do. The group before us and after us were say downstairs, and nobody else was sat upstairs until we were almost finished our meal, when it was close to prime dinner time. As for food? I went with the simple Bolognese and the house made sauce was awesome. We also had some tomato appetizer thing with mozz, and that was really good. Our waitress was actually really awesome and fun and had a lot of good recommendations.

    Garlic Bread.

Highly would not recommend this place. The staff were very kind but the food was awful. It was our first time ordering from this restaurant . We ordered carry out for Valentines Day. We ordered calamari appetizer, 2 pasta dishes that come with side salads. One of the pasta dish was seafood Alfredo we added chicken to it. My fiancé was so upset. The pasta literally tasted like a hint of heavy cream and BUTTER! It had no seasoning what's so ever. The only thing we enjoyed was the marinara sauce that came with the calamari. I ordered Tortellini Rose and added peas to it. It was decent but wasn't worth the price. The garlic bread had nothing on it. It was literally just toast! I could of just cooked diner myself.

    Patio seating, very nice.

We usually stick to the bar but sat in the dining room this time, which was nicely decorated and set a great tone. Then the little things started adding up. The roasted beet appetizer was tasty but had virtually none of the promised goat cheese. The bread was delicious... but it came with the kind of individual butter packets you'd find at a breakfast buffet. For an elevated dining experience, that's a small but noticeable miss. The bigger hiccups came with the entrees. My husband's salmon on his salad was overcooked, and my filet came out well done when I ordered medium. To his credit, our waiter noticed before I even said anything and took it back... but the replacement came out beyond rare. Silver lining: the sizzling skillet actually saved the day. I sliced it up and finished it right on the skillet, bringing it up to somewhere between mid-rare and medium which is right where I like it. Crisis averted, but it shouldn't have come to that. The scalloped potatoes looked a little questionable at first glance, looked a little like there was just a slice of melted cheese on top... but they were actually really good once we dug in. Our waiter was attentive and genuinely kind throughout, which made the experience much easier to shake off. We've had better visits here before and we'll definitely be back to give it another shot.... every one has an off night here and there.

We did ask about it and I didn't find the response to be helpful, however, I liked the younger hostess so I will leave it at that. She shouldn't get in trouble as my issues are with how reservations are managed (or not managed). While I was just happy to be seated, the rest of our party grew restless and it apparently took 55 minutes from the time we entered to place our order. Having a one year old with us, this made it extremely difficult. It was very busy, however, it would've been nice to have the breadsticks and salad earlier to keep the kids happy. It was over an hour since we entered the restaurant before we could give them anything. We were able to leave after 2.5 hours, which was just very long with small children. No one in a position of power seemed to care about all the hiccups. No one apologized for anything being late or that we had to wait so long with a reservation. The food was good, but honestly, Olive Garden tasted better. Finally, they tack on a 3% additional charge to us for using our credit card. It wasn't mentioned, just tacked on at the end. I know smaller businesses sometimes can't absorb that cost, but they have always mentioned it in the past. I found that in poor taste. I will not be back in the future and I was very disappointed in how little regard there was for us as customers.

The cream of crab soup was top notch - a bowl would have been a meal in itself. Then came a salad big enough for 4 (delicious) and fresh out of the oven bread (enough for 4 also). The chicken breast with crabcake was massive and very tasty. The veal parm was sooooooo tasty and also massive. We have at least 2 more meals each. We each had a wonderful chocolate martini as dessert. The service was attentive and helpful. The food came out quickly but we were not rushed. The price? To me, unbelievable (in a very good way).

I really appreciated how far apart the tables are to allow for conversations you can hear and more space in the cold/flu season. I had a Chocolate Martini and my husband ordered a Lemondrop Martini (not on the menu) but was definitely good. The basket of the fluffy, soft, warm rolls were incredible and something I will come back for. I got the Mediterranean bruschetta special which came with feta, crabmeat, tomatoes, balsamic glaze and lots of other yummy things on four pieces of bruschetta. It was delicious. The shrimp scampi over the thin fresh noodles was a pleasure - really loved how big the shrimp were and the large helping of pasta. My husband got the lasagna which was good although they used some different cheeses which made it taste a little different but still good. Amanda our waitress was quick, pleasant, and took good care of us. Fratelli's is a Resy restaurant. Make reservations ahead of time, since on Saturdays even at 4:00 pm, all the reservations are already booked for the night. I have returned to Fratelli's for a work group lunch. Kendra was excellent, taking care of our large group with professionalism, efficiency, and a warm smile and manner. I got the !4" pizza which is a deep dish pizza - just perfect - not too buttery. I got sausage which had the long slices of sausage on it, not spicy. You can only eat one or two pieces out of the thick eight slices, the pizza is thick so expect to share or take it home for several more lunches.

Our overall experience harkened back to some of the best episodes of the last season of "The Bear" we recently was on TV - many employees working feverishly to overcome all sorts of challenges to keep the multitudes of patrons sublimely sated with quality Italian cuisine. Some of the parallels were uncanny! To the restaurant's credit, this promotion was well-marketed and reflected in the full house of patrons with a jammed lobby that spilled outdoors with people waiting for tables. To the restaurant's further credit, there were many servers working feverishly hard to keep pace with the onslaught. They had prepared, in other words. Kudos to the charming hostess, who somehow kept dozens of balls juggling in mid-air. The anniversary menu itself was simple (down-home traditional Italian fare), possibly both reflective of the 1988 era and the move-them-in, move-them-out necessary philosophy of the evening. Our mussels appetizer was delicious but arrived late (with a profuse apology) reflective of the onslaught. We understood. Our main courses (Italian chicken dishes) were fine and well-prepared if a bit watery, again reflective of 1988 and of the busy kitchen. Again, we understood. Pricewise, with the promotion, we saved about $11 or $12 a person off what an equivalent order would have been in 2026, so our bill reflected. It WAS a cool promotion and Liberatore's deserves our business (and yours) more often even absent special promotions like this. Hopefully this creative idea inspires this on the part of it's many past customers.
