We drove up on a Saturday late afternoon in Aug 2025 and found parking across Main Street. There are other free lots nearby and sometimes a free shuttle around town on Sat and Sun. While waiting for the music, we staked out a table among some that people had reserved ahead of time in front of the wine shop, with other tables just outside the lot and more across the quiet side-street. From the wine shop, we got a nice little pinot noir to take home. They offered plastic glasses and a bucket full of ice, so we could have had that during the concert. They also have beers and ciders, gourmet snacks, and many clever and original accessories and crafts. The wine shop's owner encouraged up to walk to nearby Joe's Deli, and across to the Patapsco Distillery where the band set up under a small canopy, and we also got some food and drink from them for our table. And there's a sweet little ice cream shop across Main Street too! The band played light rock and folk and people were relaxed in conversations and enjoyment of the music. The gentle breeze kept us cool under sun-shielding umbrellas. This is nicely done weekly pair of concert, and the welcoming hostess and cooperative nearby shops make this a pleasant way to visit Sykesville on a Friday or Saturday evening, continuing through Nov 8th.

The pan seared scallops came out with a strong "fishy" smell. They however were tasty and spicy. This was a small plate as it was only 3 scallops in total. So I was surprised how slow service was over the whole visit. Our waitress was very kind, but I got the impression it was maybe a one-person show. Unfortunately, we skipped asking for some beverages (beyond water) and dessert because we were worried how long it would take. I would definitely try this place again though, because the food was overall pretty good. My son got his Adjaruli cheese boat and was delighted. The bit I tried was good - salty stretchy cheese with a garlic infusion - can't go wrong! My wife got the Phkhlovana spinach cheese pie and it was huge and delicious. Imagine a spanikopita that's cheesier and more bready than flaky crust. Would get again. My brother opted for lamb chops with fried potatoes and I got the Ojakhuri lamb and potatoes. Both were very tasty with a nice seasoning on the potatoes and lamb with a really good piquant and garlicky sauce. My only complaint is that the lamb was pretty well done, and in my opinion lamb is best medium rare; our waitress didn't even ask if we had a cook preference. The ricey, cheesy "cheese balls" appetizer came with the same sauce. Child #3 was in a picky mood that day, so he only ate half of them. They taste like you'd imagine. Solid, but nothing spectacular. Per a recommendation from our waitress, we tried the Adjapsandali eggplant salad. As good as everything was, this was a memorable part of my meal, and I have a love-hate relationship with eggplant. It reminded me a lot of a Catalan Escalivada - roasted eggplant, onions, and peppers served cold but this had a nice salty-sour dressing with it. Would totally get again. They import and sell exclusively Italian wines, and they source their wines directly from farmers who are dedicated to organic farming practices. They also import many wines from young winemakers as well as female winemakers (from regions where female winemakers are not very common). The tasting room is very comfortable and had plenty of seating for people on a Saturday night around 6. You can drop in for shopping (they offer all 50 of their wines in their bottle shop) or to hang out (they offer rotating flights, glasses of wine, and a build your own charcuterie board menu). I was there for the $30 tasting (which is by reservation only), which included five wines and a some snacks (some chips, some cheese, some olives, and some fresh preserves/jam). Bailey, their somm, took such great care of me throughout my tasting. He brought me a map of Italy and described each wine and the winemaker with incredible detail and insight. I enjoyed all of the wines and the snacks! I also left with a few bottles to enjoy later at home! I had a great time at Vine Bar.
