A small bar and restaurant I came across on the road one day, TJ's has amazing food. The chili hit every mark. My sandwich was perfect. The service was great, even though the bartender seemed to be working tables as well as tending bar. The decor is basic, but the food is what it's all about. Food is good and reasonably priced. Great service. Only drawback is that at prime times it is really loud.

Everything was and is always great until waitress Todd would not bring the table 2 napjins and 7 lemon wedges.

We took an early evening drive for the stunning sunset. It took us an hour to get to TJ's. We shared their fantastic loaded potato skins and cheesy bacon burger. We were delighted! I will refer to this place as a watering hole which is not meant yo be degrading in any way. The staff is friendly as are all the regular patrons. They have very cold beer, mix up some stiff drinks, they have Keno and TV's to watch sports and the food is awesome. I recommend you try either the steak and cheese or the chicken cheese steak and upgrade to the fries. read more

TJ's is our family's go-to restaurant. I cannot stress enough how fantastic the cheeseburgers (affectionately named "The Cheese Monster) are. Yes, they are big. The burgers are half-priced on Wed. night if you're looking for a better value. They also offer delicious hand-cut fries and a Maryland-worthy crab dip. Try these too! The atmosphere is laid-back but lively, and in the evenings is always full of people decked out in their O's and Ravens gear watching the games and enjoying some cold beers. Staff is very friendly and ATTENTIVE. I've never seen any of them write down an order, but it always comes out perfect to our specifications - even when my husband orders a laundry list of burger toppings. And, we've never had a glass go empty. Can't say enough how much I love TJ's! read more

Took two of my grown sons with me to have dinner at TJ's last night. Went because of the glowing Yelp reviews and it was a new place for us to try. We were not disappointed! One of the best burgers I have had in a while. Perfectly cooked and wonderfully seasoned. The fries I ordered to come with my burger where reminiscent of boardwalk fries....so good. Burger normally comes with chips but for me fries were the way to go. My younger son got one of the specials, open face beef sandwich with fries and he was really happy with his choice. It was a lot of food, truly yummy and satisfied his 20 something appetite! My older son ordered the half price (on Thursdays) pizza special. He wasn't blown away, but to be fair, we are massive pizza snobs. (we make our own) He said it was good but I think he may go a different way in the future. Some of the reviews said that they weren't greeted, nor did they know what to do when they walked in the door because they didn't see any directions. We were warmly greeted right away, we asked if we should seat ourselves, were told to sit anywhere, and the waitress would be right with us. We didn't see the "seat yourself" sign until after we were seated because it was to our left on the wall when we walked in. The staff was friendly and attentive even though the place grew steadily more busy as the evening went on. All in all it was a wonderful experience and we are looking forward to our next visit, they are doing it right. read more

Good food the few times we've tried them. Boyfriend is a fan of their chicken quesadilla - nice amount of filling & good flavor with a nice, crispy tortilla. The only thing to note: if they ask if you want lettuce & tomato (which we assumed would just come with it on the side), they'll charge you $1 for each. Also, you get 1 free refill on the soda, then they'll charge you for another one if you have another refill. Their crab dip is really good; lots of crab & good flavor, but not too thick or thin - just right. Now served with warmed pita bread, but if you ask, they'll make you crostini instead (which I prefer). Good sized portion, too. We visit every few months; service is good and their outdoor seating area is enjoyable on a nice day. read more

This is a nice off-the-beaten-path neighborhood bar and grill, popular with the locals and with bikers. We've been there twice, both times during the week when they weren't very busy but definitely had some 'regulars' in there. It isn't the friendliest place to talk into, there is no host or sign saying to seat yourself or whatever; we sort of wandered in, felt like everyone stopped to look at us (again, I don't think they get a lot of 'strangers' in there), and finally asked the bartender if we could sit outside. They have a nice outdoor deck/patio off to the side that's surrounded by a wood fence so it gives some privacy and sound dampening from the road. The first time we were there it was pretty clear that our waitress was annoyed at our being out there (the only people), and was pretty rude/curt with us due to the extra dozen steps or so she had to take to serve us out on the deck. However, the food was quite good and the beer cold! My wife got a monster burger and it was a BIG surprise. I got onion rings and they were definitely some of the best ones I've had, nicely crispy and super hot. The second time we were also the only folks on the deck, but the server was much better, very nice and attentive even though she was pulling double-duty as the bartender that night apparently. This time I went with the burger (and onion rings, of course) and my wife got their fried fish sandwich. Again, the food was very good and everything is reasonably priced. Bottom line: if you can handle feeling a bit like an outsider at a place full of people who all seem to know each other and are iffy on newcomers, this is a good place to get some good bar food and a beer for a very fair price. My only complaint about the deck/patio is that it doubles as the smokers area, and the folks who hang at this place like to smoke a LOT so you're constantly having your food served with a side-order of second hand smoke if you're out there. read more

Good food! Went here on a Saturday night when they were having karaoke. It was hysterical to watch and hear. Had the salmon which was cooked perfectly and a salad which was fresh.
