Crabcake Platter

Recently celebrated my dad's birthday at Rocksalt. The food was delicious! Most of us enjoyed the crabcake platter. Service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant was decorated nicely for the holidays. At the end of the meal they brought out a complimentary piece of Italian lemon creme cake which was really yummy!

Food was great. Drinks are way overpriced including the wine. Would have given it a 5 if not for that.

We've been here a few times and have always gotten the Best service. The place has different sections (indoor and outdoor). Known for their orange crushes drink from the rear outdoor bar. The indoor bar area is small but nice. The food is great from the seafood to the steaks. The raw bar if always fresh and the salads are amazing. The menu can be pricey but well worth it. Definitely a nice place for a date or a family celebration. Our favorite restaurant in Westminster.

Today is my husband's birthday. We just played 18 holes on a beautiful Maryland golf course and I wanted to find a restaurant that featured Maryland crab - nailed it!!! Monica was our server. She told us "Maryland has the sweetest crab and the best crab cakes - and we make the best crab cakes in Maryland!" Husband had the Cream of Crab soup - a chunk of crab in every bite! And the crab cake "lunch" plate which was one huge crab cake (ALL crab - didn't have, didn't need any stuffing!) along with their fabulous cranberry coleslaw and perfectly cooked green beans. I enjoyed some of his soup and bites of the crab cake and a yummy bowl of mussels. We were stuffed and very happy and then Monica brought him a beautiful, delicious Italian lemon, mascarpone cream birthday cake - OMG!!

Service was very good. Kitchen needs to season the meals. Tuna looked great but was devoid of any flavor. No soy sauce and the seaweed tasted like wood (it had oxidized). Sauce that did come with it was too sweet and a bit sticky. Quality wasn't the best but passable. Burgers too need even some simple salt and pepper at the very least. Crab omelette was decent. Home fries should have stayed in the kitchen.

All I can say is WOW. What a first impression. We always go to our go to Pappas but decided to go somewhere new. RockSalt not really sounds appetizing but checked online looked good. So we show up and there was a waiting list of 45 mins. Decided to wait it out which turned out to be only 25 minutes. Very nice Ambiance cozy. Ordered our drinks and appetizers. Cream of crab yummy. Rock fish bites were so good. Then crab dip very good. Main course I ordered the Steak and the 10oz crab cake with slaw OMG . Worth the wait and drive. Highly recommend

This was my fourth time dining here in the last 12 months. This restaurant never disappoints. My wife and I met two friends from Rhode Island here Monday for a reunion luncheon visit. The Calamari portion was generous and delicious. Enough for all four of us for an appetizer. I also ordered a half dozen oysters on the half shell as an appetizer. They were the Sand Dunes oysters from Prince Edward Island...... and they were fresh and delicious. This restaurant has an incredible raw bar oyster list see photos. One of us had the crab imperial luncheon plate. and said it was delicious. Three of us had a luncheon special of blackened grouper with shrimp and that was also outstanding. The portions are very large, which makes it difficult to have room for a dessert. So we all shared a piece of Keylime pie with four forks... It was very good. The service by our waiter was very efficient and prompt. This is a very popular restaurant and even on a Monday it soon filled up for lunch. If you want to avoid the luncheon wait make sure you arrive by 11:45 AM. Rocksalt grill has turned out to be my restaurant of choice when dining in Westminster, Maryland

This restaurant was selected by a family member for our Father's Day gathering for dinner. I had never heard of the restaurant so I was excited to try something new. There was a festival going on so street parking was a little tight they also have a lot for parking up the street. We were served by G which he was on point and very attentive for handling a party of 12. The food was so fresh and really good. I had the special of the day which was the salmon with mango salsa and Brussels sprouts and green beans. The green beans lacked favor but, I was able to take care of that when I got home. I was impressed that management was very attentive to the guest while walking around to greet and speak to the guests. Overall, I will definitely return as the food and service combined was excellent.

Outside, parking just to the right of the building!

Visiting from the West Coast, and this has got to be the best meal of the trip, and best crab cake I've ever had! We drove an hour up to this hidden gem based on reviews, and it did NOT disappoint. Our group sampled the rockfish, seafood Mac and cheese, and the award-winning CRAB CAKES. You cannot go wrong with any of these options! The food was well worth the wait. A very big shout out to our waitress Monica, who has the greatest hospitality we may have ever experienced. The staff as a whole was so welcoming and entertained all of our questions. The restaurant has a great ambiance, with the back dining room feeling elevated but still warm and family friendly. I could not recommend this establishment any more than: YOU. MUST. GO.

Rock Salt continues to never disappoint. Celebrated an early anniversary dinner with the soft carb entree. Plump, crunchy and delicious crabs cooked perfectly. Cheesy crab dip was our starter. Rich and topped with lots of gooey cheese. And to finish off, peach cheesecake made in house. It was a "wow!" Service was great. Our favorite place to get Maryland style seafood!

Good music. Good atmosphere. Good food. Five of us descended on the RockSalt Grille for happy hour appetizers, drinks, and dinner. Happy hour runs from 3 to 6 with dollar off beer choices, and a few appetizerselections. Raw oysters and old bay seasoned french fries were the choice of the group. Yeah I know, they don't exactly go together, but it's not like we were eating them together. I tried one of the raw oysters and though I am no connoisseur, it was pretty good. Everyone else really enjoyed them. The old bay season french fries had cheese melted on top. These too were pretty good. You have a lot of seafood choices as well as non-seafood choices so for me it was the Seafood club. Huge sandwich which I could not finish, but it was outstanding. It comes with lump crab, shrimp, tomato, lettuce, and seasoning with your choice of breads. Wheat bread for me. It also comes with a choice of sides so I selected the coleslaw and it was fabulous. Service at the bar was excellent.

Excellent food! Ambiance was great, chill on a Sunday evening which was the perfect vibe. Service was ok. App of fried green tomatoes with crab was delish! Perfect crispy tangy taste! Guest had the half n half soup and thought it was sooooo good! Smoked salmon BLT on brioche was delightful! Guest had the crab cake sandwich and loved it! French fries were meh....not hot, not crispy.

We order the turkey club, hush puppies, cream of crab soup, the charcuterie board, fries, and fried oysters to share. The turkey club was the star of the show. It had nice layers of avocado, the chicken was cooked well, and the bacon added a nice touch. For drinks we stuck to the margaritas and they were perfect! I would say you can skip the fries, the seasoning was great the batch of fries we had seemed like they might not have been fresh. The rest of the menu was so good I would still say you could skip the fries and order a double serving of hush puppies.

Sat at a two top right behind the waiter service station . Horrible seat in a not very busy space. We ordered yellowtail poke, Caesar Salad, 6 oysters, shrimp banh mi, and brussel sprouts. Poke - visually appealing, lacking flavor and the sauce provide was uninspired. Caesar- simple and delish. Way too much so I asked to take the rest home. Salad was taken and never returned. Oysters - I had 2 each of 3 different types. I love oysters. Eating those six made me lose interest in ever eating another oyster. Just not good. Not spoiled. Just not good. Shrimp banh mi - Nice tasting but not amazing. Brussels sprouts- A bit oily but really delicious. Everyone around me had cocktails with lunch. Perhaps if I were drinking I'd have not noticed how displeasing the experience was. Lastly, the place smelled like stale beer. A one and done for me.

I absolutely loved it, from the prompt service to the ambience to the local, delicious food, we had such a lovely dinner. I came for oysters and I got them. First we had a dozen raw oysters from the True Chesapeake farm, which were so fresh and flavorful. My favorite hands down was the Chunky Dunker oyster, gigantic and meaty. Then we had broiled oysters, you know, for some variety! They were fantastic. Dinner was fabulous, I had the scallops and my husband had the fish. We ate every single bite, and all but licked the plates clean. To finish, we had dessert cocktails - the Grasshopper tastes like an Andes mint - and we happily headed home with full bellies. I can't wait to come back and try more of the local seafood on offer!

The apps were incredible. I absolutely loved the beet salad, steak tartare and the handmade spaghetti with clams. You can't go wrong with the brisket meal or their sides - whether it's the grilled chicken or the CAULIFLOWER. GET IT! The oysters were hyper local. Good but not the greatest as I prefer more northern. They have a great selection of oysters locally available so everyone could find one they'd like. I preferred one of them but they didn't identify which was which.
