Had their food at a catered event over a year ago and it was very good. Got stuck in traffic due to an accident at Rt 91 so stopped in to grab a sandwich. I ordered a turkey Rachel on rye. It looked like something a kid would pack for lunch. Reuben and Rachel sandwiches are normally messy. Not this one. It was more bread than any "guts"; two slices of thin turkey, one slice of cheese, dressing on one side and a dab of cole slaw on the other. I didn't even need napkins! For the price I paid ($12.99) it was definitely not worth it even with fries on the side. I also noticed that the menu states "prices subject to change without notice at any time". When I looked up the menu online, the sandwich I ordered was not listed as $12.99. I understand that prices can change and that websites may not get updated right away but that left a bad impression. read more

Went back as previously was great (meatballs & rigatoni) following a funeral. Today was just barely OK. Pasta is fine, overcooked mushrooms in Marinara red sauce, and eggplant parmigiana was really overdone as like mashed potatoes, but no bitterness & pleasant with a Tomato red sauce. Glass of house Merlot was nice. This is partially a Sports Bar with folks casually eating & drinking at the bar counter ( having a great time ). We don't expect to have any stomach issues either. We were seated in the bar area which is very nice. The food was as delicious as the first time we came here. Hubs got BBQ Salmon special and he said it was delicious. I liked the food here. I've been here about 4-5 times. Had mixed service based on which waitress I got. Never had any major issues. One waitress told us there weren't any specials but they had happy hour and other daily specials posted on a board in the bar area that we could see from our table so clearly a lack of knowledge. We were trying to dine in one day when going for a motorcycle ride and it was a little after 9pm, sign said they didn't close until 10pm but the doors were locked. There were staff inside but they didn't come to the door. The food has been good the times I did dine-in. Old bay wings are really good, coconut shrimp, fries, burgers. Also tried their shrimp fra diavolo which turned out to be surprisingly tasty and yummy. Our friends who live close by always get their pizza which they enjoy. Their drinks are usually good. Most of the time we've gone it's been kinda empty but dinner time and weekends can definitely get busier. They also host parties and events. But you can also just do carry-out. read more

I was involved w/ a pickleball tournament over the Labor Day weekend in Finksburg, MD. My role was to feed 120 volunteers over the 4 days of the tournament. I worked w/ the owner, Kelly and the manager, Sarah. I ordered the wraps & subs for our group. The food was delicious, the communication throughout the whole experience was topnotch, the service was prompt & dependable, and they worked w/ me to ensure that the order was exactly as we needed. I loved, loved this meal. It was the special, Seafood Sradia with calamari, mussels, shrimp in a spicy marinara sauce. It was wonderful. The calamari was cooked perfectly which is difficult by its self but put with shrimp again perfect and the mussels were perfection!! It was served with a great salad and garlic bread. I didn't know they were there, went because they are supporting Carroll County Choir. Will be going again probably on regular basis!! Good job Bristro 91!!! read more

Usually Bistro 91 takes more care with their food. What went wrong today? New chef? Cutting quality to save money? IDK. We ordered basic fare for delivery. 16" pizza with onions and mushrooms, small fries, small garden salad. Previously, their pizzas have rivaled Mediteranneo in Westminster. Not today. The pizza wasn't greasy. The pizza sauce was watery. The center of the pizza was a sopping mess. The salad had brown lettuce. The small fries was noticeably smaller than previous orders. I thought it was odd that the delivery guy was able to get here so quickly since he got lost and went probably 2 miles past our house. Even with getting lost and calling me, we got our food very quickly. Was everything pre-made? IDK. We've had some good food here before: pasta, entree salads, and pizza. Feeling burned so probably won't be ordering here again for a long time.... read more

A mixed bag. It was a first time visit, and we ordered takeout. First issue was that they would not enforce their COVID-releated requirement for only one person inside at a time for pickup. My wife followed the directions (as did the people in front her), but the several people behind my wife did not and they crowded in behind her into the narrow area. She requested the person at the counter to request the others to go back outside but her request was simply ignored. The person did mention then that they have curb-side pickup, so definitely recommend using that (my wife was not informed this was an option when ordering). The lasagna ordered by two people was pretty good, and it was very appreciated that it was all-beef versus a pork/beef mix. It was something we'd definitely reorder. But, the Maryland Crab soup had ALL of the salt (so much that it was inedible) so definitely do not recommend that. That was a disappointment as, unlike many other restaurants, there wasn't a pool of grease on top so we had high hopes. Get that salt level way down and it might be pretty good. I ordered the chicken chesapeake, and it was a total disappointment. It was so greasy (pools of oil were present), and the sauce was extremely bland. The chicken was very overcooked. The pasta was fine. The portion was very large and made for two meals at least. It was far below the quality of dish and cooking at many other local restaurants. Especially given the $20+ cost, this was a big thumbs down! For dessert, we ordered a turtle pie, a cheesecake, and cannoli. The turtle pie and cheesecake were pretty good and would definitely recommend. The cannoli had a nice flavor, but the cheese filling was a bit on the grainy side. So, not perfect, but okay. The bottom line we learned is that they do okay with the basics of an Italian place, so stick to that and you'll likely not be disappointed. Don't order any of their higher priced specialty items as they just aren't up to snuff. I'll probably keep it simple and get a chicken parm sub next time... read more

First time going to Bistro 91. Young lady sat us down and gave us menus. Said somebody will be with us shortly. Well, that never happened! After 20+ minutes, we got up and walked out. I ordered 2 steak dinners for my husband and I. They arrived in almost an hour. The steaks were cold. I ordered medium and medium rare. I received 2 medium rare and one was almost mooing... I called them up and they offered a $10 credit towards the next meal. The girl on the phone stated that they are not good at steaks only pizza and pasta...(Then why sell steak dinners if you cannot cook them to order???). We will never order from there again. I tried ordering a pizza and wings through DOORDASH and the driver got to the store to tell me that they "don't door dash" after I've had a previous order be delivered to be VIA DOORDASH.. the "manger" had a screaming match with me about it. I never leave reviews but the way the manager treated me and the door dash driver was sincerely appalling. They're literally listed on DOORDASH.. Food is just okay so don't expect to be wowed. The service was not so good. When we arrived for dinner there were only 2 other tables with people and there were 2 servers. Our group of 4 ordered 2 appetizers along with our dinner order. One appetizer fried zucchini, arrived quickly but the grilled calamari took a while. I noticed the server with the calamari in her hand giving instructions to another server rather than delivering the food to the table. Within minutes of the calamari being brought to the table, out comes the main course.
