We traveled to Westminster from Harford county with our girls FCA basketball team to play a game at Carrol Christian. After the game we decided to come to this location with 18 people. The staff from the moment we arrived was very attentive to making sure we were well taken care of. Moving tables and getting everything we would need in place. Even after food was out they checked in multiple times by different members of the staff. All I can say as a business owner is great training. Overall Westminster Genova's To Go has been somewhat above average, with a few misses. Cheese steak sandwich has hit the spot every time I've gotten it. Their in-house made sub rolls have a nice outer crust with soft center that soaks up all those amazing steak juices. Usually get with fries, which are average but a must for me with a cheese steak. Sausage Parmesan sub has been hit and miss. Same great in-house made sub rolls. When it is cooked correctly, its great. However, I've gotten it on more than one occasion where the sausage was waaay overcooked, including once it was like a charcoal briquet. Like their pizza. Usually get pepperoni and cheese. Sauce is an on point traditional sauce. Been cooked correctly ever time. Really hits the spot when you want a traditional slice of thin crust. Plus, they have a 20" pizza. Italian sub was good but nothing special. Wings are large. Been cooked correctly ever time. Hot wings needed more sauce both times I got them. Old Bay wings have been hit and miss on having enough seasoning. Absolutely LOVE their Garlic Parmesan Wings. Not only do I lick my fingers, but scraping the container with the celery to get every last bit of sauce. Food is consistently good and staff is always friendly. Even during challenging times like the COVID-19 pandemic - they are friendly, fast, patient...I highly recommend this place for any time. This was our first time trying this place. Ordered on the website and there was no indication of how long it would take.. we are a 15 min drive so headed that way. We waited over 25 min after we arrived. There was clear confusion with a group waiting for their orders they took our names to "check on them" The pizza was good. The place is clean... Used to love this place. I don't know what happened. I'm done with the cheesesteaks here. I order double meat because they already skimp on the meat portions. I ordered double meat yesterday and it wasn't even close to what a normal sub would have in it. Their meat portions do not add up with their bread. My sub last night was more of a salad sub with a meat topping. Your best bet is just buy the sub rolls from here and make your own cheesesteak at home. I would give more star's if I could. I really can't say enough about this place. I ordered lunches for 53 hungry college lacrosse players. Several different types of full sized sub sandwiches, such as chicken parm, meatball park, cheese steak, etc. A few had to be tailored to suit food allergies. This place has changed terribly! The staff is not very good at taking orders for their customers. Last Friday(10-1)my wife ordered my steak sub with lettuce, tomato,mayo&raw onions+FF. I ended up with cheese on my sub. They know I DON"T LIKE CHEESE!!! Then this Friday(10-8)my wife ordered my same steak sub&FF. This time I got some kind of chicken sub with lettuce&tomato only. Wrong meat&no mayo or raw onions on the sub. This place has really gone downhill. There are plenty of places that make much better subs anyway. Great pizza horrible customer service from the owner/manager. I order pizza from Genova two to three times a month. I had a free pizza but my 10 stamps were on 7 different cards. The owner looked at me and in a very serious tone and said "are you kidding me?" At first I thought he was joking but then he went on and continued to say "you know these cost money". Extremely rude. Well sir 1 I will never come back so you will not have to worry about your pink cards 2 when all of my friends and family come in town we always put a big order in. Their pizza is pretty good and you can't beat their weekend pizza specials. We've never experienced the delivery but rather pick up our order while we are out and about in Westminster. Like so many other places, they throw a "tip jar" out at the carryout pick up. This is so annoying! Tips are given to servers because they serve the food and aren't paid minimum wage. Begging for tips at a carryout where the customer comes in person to pick up their order is tacky. What's next? Will McDonald workers put out tip jars when you go in to order from them? We have ordered from here numerous times and really enjoyed the food. However on Sunday we placed an order for my sons birthday party just like we have done at numerous other pizza places for parties. We have never had an issue before. When my husband called he was never told they were short a delivery person or that it would take over an hour. My husband told them that it was for a kids birthday. Well the kids were ready for the pizza and it hadn't arrived. My husband called again to be told it would be there shortly. After another 15 minutes I had to serve the cake because still no pizza. He called a third time to be told it wasn't even cooked yet. So my husband said forget it. We only had an hour in the party room. To top it off the owner calls my husband to say he was blocking my husbands phone so he could never order again. We only ordered 2 pizzas for 34 dollars which we could no longer use and since it hadn't been cooked yet what was the problem. The owner was rude and disrespectful.
