Received some coupons in the mail from this pizza spot. Decided to order delivery on a Monday night after grocery shopping. About 40 minutes between the time I placed my order to the time it was delivered. Ordered a large pepperoni pizza cooked extra with a coke. Total was $24~, with tip it was $30 total. Good amount of cheese, sauce is also great, and they don't put too much of it on, which is my person preference. They definitely cooked it extra which is great! Thin crust pizza a step above 7-11. Nice size slices, but at 4 pm it had been out for a while and was dry. They have to go, but no menu they could share. When they did get one I was told to ignore the prices as the menu was old. Lunch specials looked good. read more

This is a pretty normal hole in the wall pizza place. However, their slices are huge! Their cheese steaks are extra cheesy, and the service is far above par! I had a chicken cheese steak and some cheese fries (very crispy!). The sub was filling and the fries were definitely cheesy. The guy at the counter was super nice to my whole party. I'd come back here if the occasion presented itself. As an aside: They also have specials/deals for local high school students after school. Lots of places ban students these days, but Michael's invites them right in with discounts. As someone who works with teens as part of my job, this is greatly appreciated...a lot of them feel like they can't go anywhere anymore. read more

Pizza had lots of burnt bubbles. Fries were soggy yet burnt. Mozzarella sticks were cold.

It was close without much competition so, despite our neighbors advising us to skip it, we decided to give it a try as we are new to the area. We won't be back. They were timely, reasonably priced, and only needed ten minutes to get a large buffalo chicken pizza ready for us to take home. It was dry. I'm ok with a thin crust as long as it has some flavor and a good texture. This pizza didn't have either - more like cardboard. Time to try someplace a bit further from home... Recommend Owners ordering a pizza that matches one from their menu from both VInces and Basta Pasta (both in Forest Hill) and do a comparison against what they are serving. I have been eating Michael's pizza for 20 years or more. Tonight was the final straw, the food is just terrible. The past 1-2 years the food has gone so downhill and it's really a shame. It's overpriced, subs are dry and understuffed, pizza is either undercooked or brown. And forget delivery, it's usually an hour or more, and they are unapologetic about it. I just wish there were another game in town to give these guys a run for their money because right now they're definitely running on laziness. The pizza is decent if it's fresh. If you go in to get slices and it's been sitting there a while, just don't buy it. They're overpriced and just not worth it. Staff doesn't take pride in what they serve... otherwise they wouldn't be serving old dried out pizza. We ordered food again last night- we live nearby and it's convenient. I really find the quality is too inconsistent for my liking. One night last year we had the best pizza ever but since then have ordered a few times and the pizza was anywhere from mediocre to terrible. A few months ago I stopped in and had an awesome chicken parmesan sub. Last night, we ordered a chicken cheesesteak and stuffed shells. The chicken cheesesteak was dry- really dry actually-, contained hardly any filling, and the bread was stale. The shells were mediocre. We won't be ordering from here anymore. If they can maintain quality consistency though we might return but it's a let down when you have expectations based on a previous visit. read more

Kids like the pizza from here and it's the only place in the Monkton area that delivers to our house.

I hate to be this person but seriously the service is SO awful. First of all the workers are apparently incapable of entering in the correct order over the phone. Tonight is the second time that a part of our order was not included on the receipt and not delivered, despite the person reading our order back to us correctly. The first time, we ordered Tiramisu and it was on the receipt but the driver forgot it. Not too mention this was after waiting an hour and a half for our delivery and having to call twice to figure out where the driver was. Considering we live less than 5 miles from y'all that's pretty absurd. Then tonight we ordered two 20oz drinks, a pizza, and a tiramisu. The worker read us our order back correctly over the phone. Then the delivery driver gets here with the food but only one drink. Luckily we weren't charged for it. I'm not sure what the issue going on here is since even when they read back the order correctly, it still is not being entered in correctly on their end. Yet again had to wait over an hour for the delivery. The pizza was cold and soggy. I understand the desserts are from Vaccaro's but that's on y'all to make sure they are up to your so called standards. The tiramisu was literally hard as ice. As in it literally had frost bite from being pre-made and then frozen, who knows how many days ago. Sorry but tiramisu shouldn't be frozen for long periods of time, if ever, since it will hold by simply putting in a fridge. I'm not sure if y'all are the ones who put the desserts in the freezer to try and keep your budget down by not having to order as often? If that is the case, then stop bc you're ruining the product. So long story short but we won't be ordering from y'all again. It's a shame since you're basically the only place that delivers in the Monkton area but we might as well have thrown the $26 plus a $6 tip out the window tonight bc the dinner we spent the money on was completely inedible. If I had gotten my drink I may have been less pissed but after the second time there's no excuse. I worked in a restaurant for 4 years. Recently moved to the Hereford Zone and had yet to find a place that will deliver where we are. Michael's didn't even question the distance, that earns extra tip every time! Pizza was pretty good, I have no complaints. My favorite was the buffalo wings. I AM a wing snob, Michael's did a great job. They were still crispy even after the drive to us. Pizza is usually terrible. Rude people work there and give attitude on the phone. I live 3 min away and anytime I've gotten delivery cause of other things that I need to do it takes over an hour. Oh Michael's, what happened.....?? We used to order from here a few times a month. We loved their pizza and wings. Our order would be delivered on the slower side (30 to 45 min) but it was not a big deal to us. We understood Michael's handles a larger geographic region. The pizza was hot the wings were wet and all was good. Then in 2014 things started to change. 30 to 45 minutes went to 1 hour plus for delivery. They also tapped on a $5.00 delivery charge. 14" pizza, 12 wings, with delivery charge and tip ended up costing $30.00! Still we hung in there with them even when the delivery times exceeded 1.5 hours. We ordered about a month ago and the $30.00 pizza and wings took over 2 hours be delivered. When we called no apology was offered just the requisite statement "the driver will be there soon". When the driver finally arrived the pizza was cold dry and terrible. But hey... they could have just been having an off night right? Wrong... Against everyone in my family's advice I wanted to give them one more chance. We ordered at 7:00pm on a Wednesday night. $30.00 Pizza and wings. 7:30.... 8:00... 8:30.... 8:45... 9:00. Terrible cold pizza arrived over 2 hours later. The driver offered something about knocking on the wrong door as a reason for the 2 hour delay. The resounding "told you so" was heard from a hungry group. That will be the last time we order from this place. Michael's used to be the only game in town but there are many other options now and we have found a replacement. It gives me no joy to write this review and it was only after many negative experiences with them that I do.
