I came in for lunch to grab a slice. It was a different kind of pizza place I've ever been to where you cannot see the pizza before you order it. But they are known for their "big slices". So between the two of us we ordered the special each, which comes with a big slice, fries and a drink (bottled or fountain). That came out to $20 and change, which wasn't too bad. I didn't even know it came with fries until it was served to us. The staff was quick and polite. They did get everything moving and handed out to everyone quickly. Although the pizza wasn't amazing but it was not bad. I had the vegetable slice, it had a lot in it, just not very flavorful, but it was still good. The only real negative was the walls. Which looked like they could use a new paint job. Otherwise it is a nice little restaurant to stop in for a slice and fries.

Slice lunch special

I stopped in for a quick lunch on a Friday afternoon. It's a basic pizzeria with subs and pizza. They had a great lunch special, $6.50 for a slice, fries and a drink. I got a huge plate of steak fries and a large slice of pizza. it was an excellent deal! The fries were great, and the pizza was fantastic. I think this is an excellent pizzeria for the value. The gentleman who served me was very friendly and helpful.

Bathroom

I have been ordering her weekly for years. Their food is good. The workers are okay, always on their phones though. Today I noticed their bathrooms though. Super gross, but it was even worse that it was for my 4 year old to use the potty. I couldn't keep her clothes from touching the front of that toilet. If the bathrooms are that gross, I can't help but think that the kitchens may not be clean either.

Good simple pizza... came in last minute to eat on the run. The cashier was really nice. The place smelled amazing. I'm definitely going to explore other menu options the next time I'm in the area .

Worst pizza I've ever ordered from a restaurant. Even pizzas from gas stations or freezer pizzas are better.

When you walk in, the counter is usually filled with different pizzas available by the slice, and there always seems to be something new to try. You'll find everything from classic New York style slices to Sicilian, white pizzas, veggie options, meat loaded pizzas, fresh mozzarella and tomato combinations, specialty slices and some really creative options you don't see at every pizza shop. Everything always looks incredibly fresh too. And honestly, pizza is only part of the reason we love this place. Their lunch specials are one of the best values we've found locally. For $13.95, there is a rotating selection Monday through Friday with sandwiches, subs, wraps, salads and full pasta dishes. We recently tried the La Rustica sandwich with chicken cutlet, prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, pesto and vodka sauce on homemade focaccia. The sandwich was HUGE, packed with ingredients and came with a generous portion of fresh cut fries. We also tried the Shrimp & Crab Fra Diavolo, and this is where the value really surprised us. It was an entire plate of penne in a spicy marinara with jumbo shrimp and real lump crabmeat. They absolutely did not skimp on the seafood either. Getting a fresh seafood pasta dish like that as part of a $13.95 lunch special is pretty incredible. Beyond the specials, they have a huge menu with Italian dishes, pasta, subs, sandwiches, salads, appetizers and plenty of other options. Even something like their bruschetta is loaded with fresh tomatoes, big pieces of fresh mozzarella, herbs and olive oil. There really is something here for almost everyone. Another thing that keeps us coming back is how fresh everything tastes. The ingredients actually stand out instead of everything tasting like generic pizza shop food. Their breads are especially good, the portions are generous and the food consistently comes out looking just as good as it tastes. The service has also always been wonderful with us. Everyone is welcoming and friendly, and because we come in fairly often, it has become one of those places where you genuinely feel happy walking through the door. The inside has a casual Italian pizzeria feel but is much nicer and more inviting than your typical grab and go pizza shop. There's plenty of seating, the colorful interior gives it personality, and you can sit down and have an actual meal just as easily as you can stop in for a quick slice. If you haven't been here in a while, especially if you're judging it based on older reviews, I really think Margherita's deserves another visit. Our experiences have been consistently great, and there's a reason we keep coming back. Great food, huge variety, generous portions, friendly service and some seriously good pizza.

Place is a bit small and the parking lot isn't the best but that's not really their fault, being in downtown Bel Air and next to Looneys. For lunch I ordered lasagna. The ambience itself was nice and it is in a great location right on Main Street in Bel Air. The space has a fun setup for events like comedy night and there is definitely potential for it to be a really enjoyable atmosphere. It did feel a bit chaotic during the event, which may have contributed to the overall experience, but the setting itself is inviting. Everything looked good when it came out, but flavor wise it was kind of all over the place. The Maryland crab soup had very sparse crab, and what was there were super fine shreds with no noticeable lump meat at all. It was also extremely thick, almost more like a sauce than soup, and very pepper heavy. The chicken cheesesteak was honestly the best thing we ordered. It had good flavor and no real complaints there. The fries that came with it and with the tenders were another story. They tasted like they had been sitting for a while and were just warm at best. The chicken tenders were juicy, which I will definitely give them credit for, but they had very little seasoning and almost no breading. I do not mind lighter breading, but without flavor it just fell flat. We also ordered mozzarella sticks and did not grab a photo, and those were the biggest disappointment. They tasted old, and both the breading and the cheese had this crumbly texture that just was not right. Service also was not the strongest. We asked a few basic questions and did not really get clear answers, and overall it just felt they didn't care. Maybe this was just an off night because of the event, but based on this visit, I am not sure we would rush back.
