The crab pizza is average. Forget all the Instagram and social media hype. This disappoints. It's not horrible, but it not "omg - best ever", could be (much) better. More old bay needed. It didn't taste crabby, it tasted salty. Tasted more like cratmeat you get from the grocery store when you really don't want to spend the money on jumbo lump. No sauce - just mozzarella on top of subpar crab dip, no sauce on an extremely thin crust. Someone brought it to me and I was highly disappointed. After all the online reviews TikTok, etc, I was not impressed. Try for yourself though. Parking average, staff congenial. read more

My 1st negative review of 2026 although had some mixed bag 3-stars so far. Last time I wrote a dreaded 1-star review was also very close to here. Nottingham/White Marsh/Rossville is not doing well for my opinion of restaurants! Prior to that 1-star, I gave a 2-star to a place in the mall. My best of the 4 restaurants I've reviewed in this area was a mixed bag 3-star review. I swear I have nothing against the White Marsh area; I've just had bad luck every time I've eaten around her. One of these days I'll have a positive experience in this area! Representing 2021 in alphabet series, S is for Slice on the Avenue. I visited one time in June 2021. This is on the Avenue outdoor shopping district, and this was a quick option before catching a movie at AMC White Marsh. They sell pizza by the slice as the name of the place does advertise. This pizza was subpar. Cheese was very scattered not covering the slice. Pineapple wasn't very fresh. Mushrooms were decent. The pizza wasn't that good to me. As I said at the beginning of the review, I've had bad luck in this area. Maybe next time I'm ever out this way for a movie, which is quite rare, I'd try Poke Bowl, which looks to have good reviews, and hopefully, I'll finally have good luck in this area. read more

This was yum! Slice on the Ave is a small pizza shop located in a busy beautiful shopping complex in Whitemarsh MD. I came to Slice on the Ave for one thing only- that crab dip pizza! I knew I was in for a treat being in Maryland and ordering a crab style pizza!! When I arrived, it was a few people in the store. I ordered my slice which was about 25.00 however one slice was huge and weighed one pound! This was a treat you have once in a blue moon! For us, we stopped for a pickup order of just a large pepperoni pizza well before 6 pm. They charged us the XXL price (20") for a 16". Secondly, there IS a promo of uploading a pizza and a review and you could win the XXL pizza. Well right there, THAT'S a deterrent! But out here in MD people fell for it. What's probably the most important piece of information is this. The taste! I know it, have experienced it and pretty certain many of the folks who read this have as well. LITTLE CAeSARS! Yup, that's the flavor and the inside of the hole you order from is dirty and gross. For a pick up order 2.6 miles away, guess what. It was COLD! How do you mess that one up? This happened awhile ago but it still has left a bad taste in my mouth for their store. But I had gotten a slushie one night and was walking around when I felt a cut on my tongue. There was a piece of sharp glass in my mouth that came from the slushie. I immediately went in to tell them so they'd stop selling the slushie and do a good deep clean of the machine do that no one else got hurt. I was so in shock I guess that I didn't ask for a manager. The best place to get pizza is "Up North," as the Southerns like to refer because I'm a Northern myself, but after living here, I'm a Southern. Seriously, if you haven't tried pizza's in the northern part of US, like NYC, or even Maryland now at SLICE, you're missing out. Btw NYC has the BEST pizza and SLICE easily comes to 2nd place. Stopped in with the kiddos on a nice warm day strolling the avenue. Slice has friendly service, and fun options (everything from your traditional cheese and pepperoni to the adventurous 1 Lb. crab dip pizza slice!). They also have a create your own slice option. We kept it basic with pepperoni and found a nice shady spot at one of the tables right out front. I was in town and wanted some pizza. I found this little pizza spot nearby. They sell pizza by the slice and have a big amount of pizza already made and ready to be warmed up. They also have a big menu of other items like hot dogs and mozzarella sticks. I got three different slices to try - The fried old bay was DELICIOUS. Hefty pieces of old bay dusted fried chicken surrounded by blue cheese, onions and mozzarella cheese. I'm not really into blue cheese but this actually amplified the taste paired with the onion. Each bite was cheesy and full of chicken. The Capone was pretty good too. I picked off the banana peppers. The ricotta cheese paired with sausage was delectable. This was packed with sausage. Lastly I tried the Hawaiian. It was eh. Looks like it was made early on in the day and sitting out all day. Nothing special. Overall, I love the pizza. Large New York style slices. read more

I love that I can come here and satisfy my pizza craving without having to purchase a whole pizza! Slice satisfy my craving every time. The slices are a nice size, the sauce and cheese is delicious, the pepperoni's are plentiful and tasty. The slices are always heated so that you can enjoy right away. The location is small inside for quick ordering but there are tables outside to sit and enjoy your food. Service is always quick as well. No complaints. I was headed to the Nike store down the street so I thought this would be a good time to try their infamous crab pizza slice. I placed my order through Yelp so it would be ready when I got there. When I walked in, the woman behind the counter was very nice and helpful with getting my order for me right away. By the time I got home I was ready to see if it lives up to the hype. The only other place I'd had crab pizza from is Matthew's Pizza so the bar is high! My conclusion is, it was very good. Matthew's is more chunky while Slice is more creamy. What a horrible, horrible experience. Not only does the pizza taste pretty bland, it's outrageously expensive, and the service is abysmal. To deliver 2 slices of pizza and a 20oz soda was $35! And get this, they didn't have what I ordered, substituted a much cheaper option, but charged me the original price. Since then, I cant get off of their email or text ads which I never agreed to. First worst pizza I have had in a long time, second we also ordered Honey old bay wings that were so undercooked you couldn't eat them and had no flavor or seasoning looked like some baked chicken with honey poured on it. Also got the loaded fries which were also not cooked or done still cold. My kids took me here for my birthday and when we tried to take the food we didn't eat back they stated "NO REFUNDS" which is not posted anywhere in there facility only offered more food. No thank you I was disgusted at this point and didn't want anything from there. They took my phone number to have the manager call me back because no manager was there (nothing but kids working) and I haven't heard a word this was on 4/30/25. It has been some time since I was at the Avenue in White Marsh as well Slice. Decided to pick up some slices for a late lunch as I remembered they had a good variety. My memory served me correctly as they had about 12 different pizzas to choose from. I got the Spinacotta (Spinach, Tomatoes, Ricotta & Mozzarella) & do get the Balsamic drizzle which takes it over the top-excellent! Next is the Bacon Double Cheeseburger ( Burger chunk, bacon, cheddar, onions, mozzarella & Thousand Island). Also excellent. The Pepperoni/Sausage was very good. Overall, closer to a thin crust with a tasty tomato sauce and the right amount of toppings on each slice. Square sliced the slices for sharing and the Spinacotta and Cheeseburger slices were the most popular. $19 for the 3 slices. Sounds high but there are a few toppings and 3 slices is between a 12 & 14 inch pizza size. That said, if you get more than 2 slices would recommend getting a whole pie. It's a small place with 4 high chair seats inside and 3-4 tables in the outside seating area. The ladies taking orders were friendly. Worth it for the variety and taste! read more

Yes, $35 is a lot for a whole chicken parm 16" pizza and a single (albeit large) slice of mushroom, but when those pizzas are fully loaded with fresh, tasty toppings, you will appreciate that the ingredients are high in quality and worth the higher price tag. They sell other items besides pizzas, but unfortunately I can't recall them and they don't seem to have a valid website, which I find annoying. This is a popular pizza place with lots of fans; they need to create a website where people may go and peruse their menu and various locations! Take note that this is mainly a grab-n-go place, there is only a small counter inside and some standing-only tables outside if it's a nice day. So this place is conveniently located next to the AMC White Marsh theatre. Pizza is usually in a display case but reheated fairly quickly. Toppings are top quality. Usually one giant slice is enough to satisfy and AMC doesn't bother to object if you bring a slice to the theatre. It's pretty tasty and way cheaper than theatre food. Creative pizza, that is relatively descent, you can purchase by the slice for a relatively low price ($3-4)! On a nice day, this is the perfect place to get a slice to go while walking around the avenue. If you want to eat in shop - there are a number of seats, but I can picture it filling up pretty easily. As a heads up - if you're there for lunch, there is a lunch menu over the cash register with some good deals. They won't tell you about this, and its over where you pay, rather than where you order, so I completely missed it when I came in. Slice sizes are generous, so a single slice would be a light lunch, 2 slices is a generous lunch. Throw in a drink and you should be satiated. Depending on what you get- this could be done for under 10 bucks. read more

I Love, Love, Love Slice Pizza! Their cheese slices are the best. The sauce is perfectly seasoned and very slightly sweet. The crusts is thin and crispy. I used to go to your regular chain restaurant for a pizza, but just two slices of Slice & you will be happily full. They definitely load up on the toppings- I ordered a sausage slice and it was enough for two people! Two slices will run about $11-13+, if you add additional toppings. The location is super convenient if you live in the Towson/Parkville/White Marsh/Perry Hall area. I usually eat to go, as the restaurant itself is pretty small. They have stools against the wall and outside top tables if you want a quick bite. They have what seems to be about 100 different specialty slices, but if you choose to keep it simple, you're not losing out! Everything is good here! If you visit the White Marsh location, try them out during the summer and slide next door to Cold Stone for ice cream for dessert. You'll be satisfied, most definitely. =) read more

Disappointing. We've ordered from slice before, but after placing an order, having the money taken out of our account, and having an hour of our time wasted while the manager called their payment processor, we won't be back. Slice put a hold for $44 on our account and refused to make the pizza until it had cleared, a situation I have never experienced at any other restaurant before. The owner demanded that we pay a second time before they would make the pizza and we could ask for a refund later, but would not refund our money or make the pizza. Why would they give us a refund for their problem they which they won't admit happened in the first place? Is this a new scam? If so, it's not very clever. I've never been asked by a legitimately run business to double-pay like this, but judging by some of the other reviews here, it sounds like shifty business practices are standard for Slice. The owner assured us that they have "served the community for 9 years" and "you will not ruin our reputation". If this is the the way they plan on treating their customers from now on, they'll do that all on their own. The owner of slice must have forgotten that there are plenty of other pizza businesses in White Marsh. My advice to anyone who hasn't tried Slice is to try any one of the and find better customer service and likely, better pizza. read more

Slice of Towson and Piezzetta at the Horseshoe are by far my favs to frequent for a quick slice. Went to go see Sonic last weekend and decided to give Slice on the Avenue a try and was not disappointed! The actual space is a bit awkward and small, but the service was great and pizza was just as amazing as the Towson location. Also, there's a 10% discount for AMC patrons with same day movie tickets.
