The coziest little pizza (and much more) restaurant with amazing food and kind staff! The restaurant is small and feels like everyone is family. The menu offers a wide variety and everything my family ordered was delicious. The pizza was very good and there were classic and unique pizza toppings to choose from. We got a fig and Brie pizza that was great! You can even buy their dough to take home to make your own. This restaurant is also BYOB with a $5 uncorking fee. Highly recommend!

It's listed on the menu as a "small plate" but turned out to be a very decent size. My husband tried the key lime ice cream, which was not listed on the menu of flavors. This tasted really good too. The seating area is very limited - about six table with two chairs each. There are also a few tables outside. One drawback is that prices are not clearly listed. For instance, I could not find any signage for how much the drinks, muffins or croissants cost, which would have been helpful to me in my attempt to be a smart consumer. Overall, this is a nice place to grab a bite after walking or biking the trail. There is 30 minute parking for customers - apparently the employee told a friend of ours that they do tow away cars (I guess of hikers) but I don't know how much they enforce the time aspect.

When we arrived there were cars parked on the side of York Road, maybe 20-25 of them. Ouch! We were lucky to grab a parking spot as someone left. My daughter went in to check on how long the wait was - and they found a table for the four of us. Needless to say it was busy... and loud with live music almost deafening. We were brought menus and waters. My wife, a friend, and youngest daughter had joined the birthday team. Three of the four girls had not tasted "real" Maryland crab cakes before, so we ordered one as an appetizer. After a bit it came and was divided for each to try. They loved it! So the four girls each ordered the Crab Cake meal and I had my eye on the Prime Rib, on weekend menu. After a wait, the meals came. The Crab Cakes came with side salads or fries. My Prime Rib came with Loaded Baked Potato and Asparagus, with horseradish on the side. The Crab Cakes were great! All the girls loved them. My Prime Rib was a different story. It was tough, many tendon(?) strings through it all that were very difficult to cut through. Now a little fat is great for flavor, but this Prime Rib was half see pic) gristle & fat. And there was no flavor to meat that was there. What I could eat, I had to salt & pepper to get any taste. Absolutely the worst Prime Rib I have ever been served. And of course we had to have dessert to celebrate the birthdays. We ordered an chocolate peanut butter pie and It was an excellent. The music was too loud to have conversations and tables having conversations talked loudly over the music, which made it even noisier! So if you love Maryland Crab Cakes, no place does it better. But stick with what they are famous for, otherwise take your chances. And if you want conversations, don't come on weekend evenings.

My husband ordered a lavender cocktail that was absolutely lovely. Unfortunately, the food didn't hold up to the same standard. My Maryland crab soup was underwhelming. For a state known for its crab, there was barely any crab meat to speak of. My husband fared better with his fried Brussels sprouts starter, which he really enjoyed, and his pork chop entree was solid. I ordered the wahoo fish special as my main, but it was so dry I couldn't get through it and had to send it back. I replaced it with a shrimp Caesar salad, which was fine but completely unremarkable. Our server was genuinely lovely and attentive, though drink refills were frustratingly slow throughout the meal. It seemed like a bar bottleneck rather than anything on her end, but it did affect the overall experience. The biggest sticking point is the price. For the quality of food we received, the menu feels overpriced. The cocktails were a bright spot, but the kitchen needs to catch up to justify what you're paying.

The crunchy onion straws. Then I bit into the white, flaky meat, hopeful it would match the caliber of its accompaniments. I was sadly mistaken. To avoid reaching for my dad to give me the Heimlich, I gulped water to get it down. Considering fish comes from water, it's quite a trick to make it taste like kindling. If you're going to serve your patrons dry fish and make them sweat to death in your hot dining room while they wait for refills, kindly put a carafe of water on each table. Or let them wear CamelBaks. Our waitress was clearly overworked. She was managing about 20 tables, making it hard to get more water--or anything, really. At least put man bun to work and have him ask customers if they need anything. Like water. If it were socially acceptable for me to wring my shirt into my glass, I would have. I didn't want to embarrass my father, so I refrained. I swore I wouldn't rip any more restaurants, but no one asked why I left three-quarters of my fish on the plate. Not the overworked waitress. Not the manager, who walked past our table half a dozen times, intentionally dodging eye contact. If they had, I would have told them the truth. Frankly, I think they already knew. So here we are. The truth hurts sometimes. Just like dry fish going down the gullet.
