Great place all around! Great sandwiches, fresh meals, wonderful people, but service and consistency can be hit or miss.

We gave this place a second chance-- only for it to get worse-- first time the chicken was not fully cooked, this time is was way overcooked!! The guacamole was thin as a feather and about possibly an inch on the sandwich. Hamburger horrible-- fries seriously went downhill and made McDonalds fries look like a five star restaurant side... Don't waste your money... An older male worker was also making rude comments to a female worker-- no respect. read more

Today was my first day visiting. I acknowledged that I was new and needed some help making my decisions. The gentleman behind the counter was wonderful and helped without frustration. Sadly, the woman that handled the cash register was not helpful nor courteous. She was occupied on her phone when I walked up, so I acknowledged myself to get her attention. I asked for a fork and she reluctantly waived saying "over there". I didn't see the dispenser came backed and asked for direction................again she waived and said, "over there". Just as I was contemplating leaving my deli purchases on the counter, I went back to the gentleman behind the counter and he helped me. Perhaps, the gentleman behind the counter should provide some customer service training to the cashier. read more

Went in today to grab lunch for the Raven's game. Boom Boom shrimp wrap with LTO, fries and a cheeseburger panini with bacon, extra cheese, fried onions and mayo. The burger came home with LTO, 1 piece of bacon , NO extra cheese, and BOOM BOOM SAUCE. WTH? Is the staff that overwhelmed by pumping out orders that they can't take the time to read the order? And to be charged $1 for fried onions is ridiculous. $12.99 for the panini, $1.50 for the bacon, and $1.00 for fried onions. So $15.50 for an inedible sandwich. So disappointing! $50 spent for a subpar, disappointing lunch. To top it off the kid behind the register (who isn't more than 16) selling cigarettes. read more

If you are not familiar with Savory, do not pass this store again without stopping in. From the road, it seems like a simple grab and go shop in Fallston. However, behind those doors lies a world of luxury foods that will have you opening your eyes and your wallet immediately. We just recently moved to the area and I have spent large sums of money in Savory. And I'm not ashamed to admit it. Their sandwiches are amazing. They're prepared dinners are amazing. And they carry nightingale ice cream sandwiches. And yeah, I bought an entire sleeve of those ice cream bars!!! So, if you have made it this far in reading my rant, please stop in and check them out. All in all, food is pretty good! However, you can't have an item on your menu called "Andy's BIG DIPPER"! Include all the basic items for a French dip (beef, cheese, onion, horseradish sauce panini), then not include an Au Jus for dipping. Not sure of they taste there food but absolutely disgusting. I had more mayo on my sandwich then I had steak. The chicken salad was so tuff I couldn't eat it. 3rd time and food sucks! Everything looks old. Mix the food before you put it in containers. It looks like you want to give the dry top of the food away only. Get rid of the veins in your shrimp. It's disgusting when you bite into shrimp and the sand and poop mix in your mouth. For the prices it should be better quality read more

I was looking up the address to send to a friend and happened to notice the 3.5 star average. It pissed me off a little more than it probably should have.... which is How I ended up here. I'd like to direct this review to those who felt Savory Deli deserved less than 5 stars??? Are you kidding me??? I've spent a small fortune in this place since moving close by a few years ago. The food here is superior to any other establishment of it's kind within a 500 mile radius. I've literally never had a bad meal here. If you've given this place a bad review, I'd like to know how many times you've actually been to Savory Deli? Have you tried one of the fresh baked peach pies? Or perhaps the Bobs Big Flounder?? Of corse you haven't. You probably left with a candy bar and some Marlboro lights..... Had you sampled some of their award winning shrimp salad or tickled your tastebuds with a delicious Ruben or one of their many gourmet deli items, you would have left a sensible review. I absolutely love this place. The finleys fish and chips are my go to and delicious! They have the boardwalk fries and the chicken tenders are so good. We've had their meatballs, Mac and cheese, and deli sandwiches and all are great! One of my fav places. read more

The only reason this isn't 4 stars is because of the deli. Apparently it closed at 8 the next time it was 6 the time after that it was 5. I don't understand the rules but this was within the span of 3 weeks so it's very unlikely the deli hours could have changed 3 times and these were all on Saturday so there's that. Otherwise this place has AMAZING wings it's just that the service is bad if I'm wrong please correct me but it might be the employees. If they are half as good at cooking food as they are cooking up exuses to not work they should be gourmet chefs. read more

Our phoned in order wasn't started until we arrived 30 minutes later. Employees behind the deli were going back and forth from touching receipts, to their mask, to food, and back again. A 30 minute wait turned into an hour and 10 minutes. The food was good in the past- but today's we'll be tossing. Our po boy only had 2 shrimp on the entire subroll. A container of raw chicken sat out on the counter for the entire time I was there. They regularly had to check the menu board to figure out what was on the sandwiches we ordered. Ordered a sausage egg and cheese bagel with a hash brown over the phone. My order was completed quickly and service was good. Got home and started eating my sandwich which was good, took a bite of my hash brown to find it had rot. Thankfully did not swallow anything, but am now permanently scarred with that taste in my mouth. I think the food standards should be reviewed. I think great - even amazing - food doesn't justify totally rude behavior from the staff. Ordered food for a small group people and the guy over the phone was irritated at the crazy idea of more than one person ordering food and scoffed at the order multiple times under his breath. This has been a pretty common occurrence, as we usually order food from here as a group and receive the same treatment every single time. It seems it doesn't really matter who the teenage employee is as they all have the same demeanor and tact when dealing with customers. I have had several items on the menu. I liked everything I order but the sandwich prices are a bit steep. I would eat there more often but I need to use my credit card and not my pocket cash. The older women is not the friendliest almost like she's tired or ready to retire. Everyone else is courteous. They need to get on the ball...Cappuccino machine has been broken for 3 weeks now, specifically the Italian Cappuccino. Also have been out of light roasted coffee this past Saturday and Sunday. Amazing. I got the Bacon Cheeseburger with beach fries. The cheeseburger was great. And the fries were just like the boardwalk! Other than what I got, I could see that everything was fresh, because there is an open kitchen and clear counter. The only bad part is that the wait was a little long. Love Savory! The staff is friendly and the food is great. The wraps and paninis are terrific. I especially love the boom boom shrimp wrap. Prices are about average, but it's worth supporting your local businesses! My only complaint is that their homemade chicken pot pies used to be delicious, and now are mediocre. I've ordered several times for a small group of 3-6 people, and nearly every time I have called in I've encountered a nasty attitude. Although the food is great, expect to feel like you're bothering a bunch of pre-pubescent teens if you order more than one item. In my case, they audibly complained under their breath in amazement that someone would actually order three of the same sandwich at once.
