We stopped at Acappella Italian restaurant because my sister who moved to Baltimore a few years back has passed by many times on her way to the vet. Always wanting to try it, we decided to make a special trip today since I was visiting from California. It was so worth it! Not only was the food amazing, but the service was outstanding! Etien was also helpful and friendly! He recommended the espresso martini and it was the best I've ever tasted. I'm not exaggerating. Not too sweet, just right. And the Dubai chocolate martini had the perfect amount of chocolate and vodka. My sister enjoyed it the last drop! The food didn't disappoint either. Our friends suggested that we meet for dinner at Acapella. None of us had ever been there before. We requested a quiet table, but they sat us in a booth. It did turn out to be comfortable and quiet, and the restaurant was not super busy. Our server, unfortunately, needs better training. We had to ask for bread. The water glasses were never refilled. Some of the dishes were cleared before some of us were finished eating. She put the dessert on the wrong check. She was pleasant - just not attentive. What was the plus was the food. Our sincere compliments to the Chef as we all enjoyed our dinners. Our friend started with a side Caesar Salad which was a decent size and a Chicken Marsala. Her husband ordered the Spaghetti and Meatballs. My husband and I were blown away with the Walnut and Cheese Raviolis. We were transported back to Italy - they were that good! My family and I visited Acappella for the first time last night for dinner to celebrate my Mom's birthday. We were a party of 8 which fit comfortably into the space they had reserved for us. Our server Melissa was friendly and very attentive during our dinner. The staff even put down the lights and brought out a cheesecake with candle to sing Happy Birthday to my Mom. The appetizers including the Maryland crab soup were all excellent. The pasta dishes were on point and my filet mignon was cooked exactly as ordered. The owner was visible and circulated through to check on the tables, including our which is definitely part of the reason our experience was so perfect - no substitute for good management:-). Dinner with friends at a restaurant we considered a nice place to meet up and enjoy a good meal with great company. So sad. Asked our waitress, Eliza was the highlight of the whole experience, to have the music turned down a bit so we could hear each other. Yea, casting into the wind. The owner said he would try. Asked the owner directly , he said he was trying, he didn't have control. Continued yelling at our friends while waiting for our food. Meal one, soup, excellent was her reply. Meal two, real good, meal three, yum... my meal... eggshells in the pasta. Received a second plate... a hair under my chicken. At this point the music was turned down and poor Eliza was beside herself trying to salvage our evening. The owner dismissive, the kitchen staff was obviously unconcerned. Food was pretty good. Very nice establishment and the service was good as well. They even prepared a dish for me that wasn't on the menu. You can tell that the food was prepared fresh. I had Chicken Francese(favorite Italian dish) and everything was great. I would say that a little bit more seasoning on the chicken itself would haves helped. The mozzarella sticks were homemade not the frozen ones, I just wish they were friend a little longer and the calamari was just ok. Also the place is known for their pizza so I will be back to try that as well. We were told by the waitress that the pizza dough is made fresh daily by hand! read more

I tried to meet my brother and his girlfriend at a German restaurant, but it was closed for the evening (no sign on the door, just closed). I made a sharp left out of the parking lot and into this place because it was nearby. What a happy accident! My brother and I split a Greek salad and really liked it. It was full of very-fresh vegetables, including ripe, juicy tomatoes, crisp cucumbers, lots of kalamatas and crumbled feta, and house-made dressing. We also split a Pizza Parma, loaded with arugula and proscuitto. It had just enough sauce, and the thin crust was chewy and perfect. My brother's girlfriend enjoyed the Black and Bleu Salad with steak. Our server, Mary, was delightful! She kept our glasses full and chatted with us between courses. The next time I'm in town and we get together, there won't be any question about where to go. It will definitely be Acapella! read more

We ordered a Chesapeake pizza , Margarita pizza and the authentic meatball sub. The pizza looked crisp and that's what we expected since it's claimed to be brick oven but it's was soft with no body . Every bite was mushy and to be truthful I've had better frozen pizza . The Chesapeake pizza hardly had any seafood on it so over all the pizza was not good and same with the margarita pizza . The meatballs look and taste like frozen meatballs , they are not moist but rather hard and dry with very little Sauce added on top. The sub roll was also soft as soggy just like the pizza. Out of the 6 people that tried this food everyone was disappointed. We eat at many restaurants all over and id rate them as some of worst . read more

We had a death in the family and Etian was such a huge help with the catering we ordered for the lunch after the funeral. At no point did he try to upsell anything or make extra money off of what we ordered. He was very patient and honest. The food was delivered to the church nearby on time and professionally. After the food was delivered and before the mass was even over I realized my original headcount was too low so I texted Etian 10 minutes before mass ended to see if I could quickly add 4 pizzas to the order that was already delivered. He said, "sure no problem". We paid him the next day for that day was a very stressful and busy day for all of us. The food was amazing. We ordered meatballs, eggplant parm, lasagna and chic Marsala. We ordered a salad and rolls along with the add on pizzas (new york style brick Oven) and some brownies, cheesecakes and mini cannolis (secret item Etian told me about that wasn't on the regular menu) . Everyone loved all of it! I would absolutely 100% order from here again and plan on visiting more frequently when we want an authentic Italian meal. BRAVO!!!! read more

This is a fantastic place to go for a good home cooked meal. My wife, her mom and our friend came to Acapella's on Easter for dinner. We were greeted by a friendly host and our waitress Marsella was such a sweetheart. She was attentive and made us all laugh. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the chicken Parmesana and everyone else had the pepperoni pizza. Everything was homemade and tasted fresh. We had so much food leftover which was fantastic. The outside looks beautiful and the inside looks clean. The problem with the pizza was that the cheese had a chewy texture and the marinara sauce had a very flavorless taste. I nearly threw up eating the pizza here. The Margherita pizza also uses marinara sauce and not tomato sauce. I still feel sick after eating it. read more

We stumbled this gem when I was craving for pasta and google took us here, Its a bit long drive but worth it, I tried their pesto pasta with shrimps and it was the best! So far the best pesto pasta I ever tasted. Our server was really nice and had excellent customer service. Will definitely go back for the pesto. read more

Lots of great recipes and food selection. However, I was not happy with the crab ravioli. Both my wife and I asked where was the crab filling. For close to $40 buck for raviolis, one would expect to see some type of crab filling. Won't order that again. Oder something else if you go. read more

I ordered a Deep Eddy's grapefruit crush which was $15.30 ( yes, I have copy of receipt) When we questioned the bartender, who was wonderful, she called the owner who said he was on the way and would speak with us when he arrived When he arrived he was very abrupt, didn't say hello and asked what was the problem When we explained what we thought was a disparity in pricing, the owner Etienne (sp) couldn't have been any more pompous or condescending!! He first asked if I was happy with the drink, which I was except for the price. He then rambled on saying the price was justified because of the great service they provide and because the minimum wage is increasing and he has to recoup the expenses After talking with other patrons, he evidently has alienated some long term customers I will never again patronize this restaurant, I will go where my business is appreciated and not dismissed because a major pricing disparity!!!! I don't understand the four and five star reviews here. Most of our experiences at Acapella have been disappointing. Their pizza is awful: it's either oily, like the pizza we had tonight, or overcooked like the "margherita" pizza we had months ago (hint- their "margherita" pizza is just an overdone cheese pizza, no mozzarella slices with fresh basil). Their pasta sauces are ok- I liked their ravioli, but the dish is way overpriced for what you get. read more

This hidden gem in Fallston is our favorite Italian restaurant in Harford County. Very quaint and cozy restaurant and bar area. The owner and staff make us feel like family and are always so kind and welcoming. The food is beautifully presented and always so delicious. We came here on New Year's eve and this place was packed. Like almost every table was full. Even a reserved table that was cancelled was spoken for immediately. Needless to say, we had high hopes for this place and luckily seated within a couple minutes of getting there as a walk-in. Our server was Gus who was really nice and cordial and attentive. And he had some of the larger tables to attend to. But right off the bat it was unfortunate to see they had a set holiday menu instead of their usual. That's understandable because of the packed nature of the restaurant so it was easier for cooks to make a limited number of dishes. We ordered tbe primavera pasta, ferrara pasta, fried calamari adn got a side of ceasar salad and chicken soup. The chicken soup was solid. Definitely needed in this cold weather. The ceasar salad, however, was drenched in dressing, which made it almost inedible. The bread basket was also solid. The fried calamari came right after and it was kind of lackluster mainly because I think the calamari was undercooked. It was too soft and didn't have the normal chewiness, despite the great crunchy texture of the fried bread around it. Both pastas were good, and the ferrara pasta had a solid kick to it. The primavera was a little bit sweeter for our taste, but overall good. I think I will come back on a non-Holiday day because it seems like that's what skewed the experience. But as far as first impression, it didn't live up to the hype that people told us about. read more
