I'm a garlic lover, but the chunks of garlic all in one area on the garlic bread was a little much for me lol. Aside from that, my food was great! I got a calzone with sausage, mushrooms, and spinach. The dough is so soft and delicious. The marinara sauce was perfect, and the calzone had just the right amount of filling. We stopped in for an early dinner. It was just ok this time! Three of us decided to have the special of Chicken Marsala with a salad. You could have either a Caesar Salad or House Salad. My husband and I decided to try one of each. They both were fresh and crisp. The Chicken Marsala was quite different from those we have had in the past and none of us really liked it. The portions they served were huge. Here they included sun dried tomatoes along with portabella mushrooms in a tomato based sauce. We are used to nothing but the chicken and cremini mushrooms in a Marsala wine sauce. Our friend had the special of two slices of Cheese Pizza and a drink. Skimpy on sandwich. Never been before and ordered a meatball sandwich. I would describe it as bread and cheese mostly with three meatballs. Pathetic meatball sub and customer service! I have ordered a meatball sub numerous times from this place. They give 3 meatballs, but they are large enough to fill the roll. What I got were small meatball, very little sauce and the cheese not all the way melted. I called and was told the manager not there and nothing they could do. What waste at $12 plus delivery fees. This place is just okay. Crusty bread and Italian meats (pepperoni, sausage, meatballs) are very good. Tomato sauce really bland and thin. Panini burger was pretty good for the price and tastes better with bacon added. The Italians working here are awesomely talkative and loud -- probably the best part about stopping here for food! read more

Dined on 10/13/2012 We have driven past this place for years without realizing what a decent pizza place this is. I love it when you can order pizza by the slice, and better yet, they let you custom order the slice. My wife and I enjoyed their pizza very much. We had a side of sauce as well, and it is not too sweet. They have a pretty substantial Italian menu, while it is counter service ordered, it is not fast food, and the food is served at the table. Today, while checking out some residential properties in Bel Air/ Abingdon Md, I stopped into IS to try their lasagna. I've had their shrimp fettuccine alfredo before (a 5 star item btw), but wanted something different today. It was WONDERFUL. It's big/fully stuffed enough to fill me up and I'm sort of a big guy. Italian Sensation always delivers an amazing meal at truly reasonable prices. I opted to get their cheese garlic bread, as a side to compliment the meal. That was somewhat dissapointing, stick with the soft roll of bread and butter and you can't go wrong. I think their quality of food rivals some of the fancier Little Italy restaurants. Hubs and I decided to grab some take away from here last night. Order was pretty basic...3 cheesesteaks and a sensations salad. My hubs and kids were ok with their subs, but the salad did not meet the description...instead of the mixed baby lettuce, I had a pile of romaine lettuce with 1 piece of spinach in the entire container. It was also supposed to have tomatoes, but alas, I didn't get any. I thought I was getting kalamata olives, too...which I guess I did, but only 3 of them. I was disappointed to say the least. I wasn't going to bother writing a review..Until.. Flash forward to this morning...I am wicked sick. Food poisoning sick. Will not be going back. Last weekend my husband and I went out o grab a slice of pizza and started talking to another couple. We were all saying how we loved the pizza at Pasta Mista in Towson. They suggested a place to us that was almost as good- Italian Sensation. SO we thought we would try it. We started with the mozzarella Sticks ($6.99). They were the nice thick ones and were good. It came with about 6 sticks. We then split the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad ($7.99). The chicken was great. It had this nice smokey flavor and was a perfect moister and not over dry. Now the dressing it self was to be homemade. I wasn't impressed at all with the flavor of the dressing. It was a nice thickness but had no flavor at all. I didn't taste hardly any flavors of a typical caesar dressing. The salad it self was very big but the dressing was nothing to write home about. For dinner we split a 16" Neapolitan style (hand tossed) pizza with mushrooms and prosciutto. Overall, the pizza was very good. The crust was just the way I like it. I love a thinner crust and the bubbles in the outside edges (it wasn't like Papa John's or Domino's crust). There was 2 minor disappointments with the pizza: the middle of the pizza the crust was a big soggy and a few pieces of the prosciutto were supper salty. However, overall I was pleased with the pizza. The pizza was a bit on the steap side of prices: $10.99 plus $2.00 for mushrooms and $2.50 for the prosciutto. As I think about the entire meal as a whole I would say it was average. out of 5 stars I would give it 2.5 stars. I have had better overall. Who would have thought... an Italian restaurant owned by actual Italian people in the middle of Fallston! It was great! I had one awesome turkey panini and my wife had two great slices of pizza. We had a party of 3 and I ordered the pasta matriciana, another the chicken parmagiana and the third a pasta dish with sausage and peppers. We also ordered a side of garlic bread. Nothing was terrible but also nothing was remarkable in any way. All three of us agreed we most likely wouldn't be back. The pasta sauces were thin and mostly flavorless and the garlic bread fairly dry and bland. I've gotten food from Italian Sensation mostly as carry out. Sometimes it's good, and sometimes it's horrible. I never get home with anything still hot so just expect that. And half the time anything you get that was fried tastes like it was fried in old oil. Their pizza can be okay but check to make sure it wasn't blackened on the bottom before you leave with it. Overall let me put it to you this way... I've had worst, I've had much better, but their really close to my parents home. read more
