    Teriyaki Salmon Bowl
    Sharma J.

Love the menu. A decent mix of plant based items on all lunch, dinner and brunch. We went there for dinner. I had the teriyaki salmon bowl, came with grilled asparagus, a good portion of cauliflower rice and salmon. It came with corn salsa, something was really off about the salsa so had them remove it. They made a fresh salsa for me. My husband had fried steak and eggs. He said it was good. The service was good too. It's a cozy little place, it was pretty crowded for a week night. Oh we also got key lime pie to go. It was good.

    Mousaka

The highlight of the meal was the side salad with fresh greens and feta cheese. The dressing on the side had cream and a little seasoning in vinegar. For the main entree, the mousaka felt heavy and had a salted flavor. The layers of eggplant, meat, and potatoes blended together instead of each one standing out individually. The tomato paste sauce on the plate helped little to break it up. When eaten alone, the eggplant was sweet and an appropriate texture. Separating out the potatoes or beef didn't improve them or the dish. The meat loaf my cousin had was lighter on salt, but still average.

    Pancake Platter Eggs & Bacon

Everyone has been raving about the Sunshine Grille, so we decided to go and try it out. We made a reservation for 1:00 PM on a Saturday and requested a quiet table. The restaurant was full with a lively vibe. My daughter arrived first and secured the quietest table she could find. Katie, our server, was friendly and attentive. The menu is very extensive. You can order from the breakfast/lunch menu until 3:30 PM. My husband ordered the Pancake Platter that came with 3 of the fluffiest buttermilk pancakes served with 2 eggs and a mountain of applewood bacon (check out the pictures). He was so impressed. My daughter was interested in trying the Ultimate Quesadilla with corn salsa, house cheese blend, & grilled steak between 2 flour tortillas served with sour cream and chunky salsa with parmesan truffle fries. I could not resist trying the Country Fried Steak and Egg Platter. Oh my, it was huge. The country fried steak was a large portion of steak covered in sausage gravy & cheddar cheese along with 2 sunny side up eggs cooked perfectly and 4 small fried green tomatoes and 2 pieces of white toast. We all enjoyed fresh, brewed coffee. I have to say we were extremely impressed with the service and the food. Everything was delicious. My only complaint would be the noise level. It was difficult at times to have conversation. I think we will definitely come again but during the week and try to pick a quieter time.

The food, service and ambience are great, although it can get a little loud! Multiple rooms. Amazing pastry case! Monthly specials. Something for everyone. Everything is fresh.

Sunshine Grille is a great local eatery. I have to visit this restaurant when I visit the Glen Arm, Maryland area. I especially love the homemade menu items. Their desserts are EVERYTHING! I especially enjoy the Oreo Cheesecake and the German Chocolate Cake. I have never been disappointed when trying a new dessert flavor or menu items. One slice of cake takes me two to three days to eat. The ambience of the restaurant is relaxed and family friendly. It is immediately apparent that this place is a favorite of the locals. The staff is always friendly, personable and knowledgeable about menu items. One thing I would improve is having an area for carry out customers to wait without indirectly imposing on the flow of dining service.

Sunshine grille never misses! The menu has so many great options it's always hard to choose what to get. I went with the garden omelette, which was perfectly cooked, but unfortunately was missing the mushrooms. The home fries are delicious, but next time i might ask for them to be crispy!

    Churrasco steak
    Emma K.

Very friendly staff and owners! We ordered Churrasco Grille steak for my daughter which was superb! Only she asked for rare and it was pretty much well done. Nevertheless, it was very tender . It came with maple braised Brussels sprouts and fries. I ordered Mississippi catfish that came in soft shell taco version which was unique I think and it was served with sweet potato fries and cinnamon butter on the side to dip into. That was a little too much. Sweet potato and sweet dip... idk Also , had mushroom Whiskey sirloin in whiskey sauce that was outstanding!

    The Cadillac!!

Consistency is good. Good for life and good for business. Inconsistency? Well, inconsistency adds some fun to the Sunshine Grille experience. I visited with two buddies during an incredibly busy Friday lunch rush. I'm sure this a consistent pattern for SG. We were seated after a quick ten minute wait, and Whaddya know? We saw people we knew and said howdy do! I knew what I wanted even before I saw the menu. I wanted the Cadillac! With gyro meat. This is where the inconsistency comes in: third visit and the third iteration of this classic item. Better than the first. As excellent as the second but each plated differently! Fun! In a good way which works well with family owned businesses. This time the item stood out with a dollop of tzatziki in a portion cup. That addition alone made this the best of all three Cadillacs! I added fries which were excellent as well. My buddies ordered Gyros and Quesadillas. We left full and happy. TSG is an EXCELLENT value proposition for your hard earned drachmas. Service was excellent and the atmosphere is homey. When I return, I know I buy another Cadillac just to see how it's plated. Regardless of how it's plated, I know I'll love it!

Decided to have a little "celebration" for a successful year end at our business. The good - attentive service. Called ahead and they held a table for 15 min until we arrived. Friday and it was packed. Cocktails good. Food, I've got some concerns. Appetizers - ordered cheesesteak eggrolls and octopus. Eggrolls were excellent. Octopus thought, I'm used to the presentation at Bacco's so I could do without it being cut into tiny pieces and buried in sauce. Salad - shared the kale salad. Great flavor but the ( wife's pet peeve when I serve it ), the kale was in very large chunks, could use a bit more chopping. Main Course - wife had stroganoff and I had the NY strip. I don't know what it is about Harford County but it's the last time I'll try to get a proper NY strip here. I should have known when it was only $52 on the menu. Steak & Main advertises "best steaks around" and serves the same 1/2" thin cut slice that looks like it came from Ponderosa but they charge $65 which is a ripoff. I like my steak rare and with a steak this thin, it's impossible but at least they were close. Again, stuff all over the top of the meat, a bit too much. Stroganoff - solid!! Dessert- Bananas Foster / solid!! My only gripe is the steak. We will be back for sure but I'm done trying to get one out and will just continue getting a nice cut from a butcher and treating myself at home.

Service is good and they are very attentive. Our water glasses were never empty. Server very well acquainted with the menu and they even have specials off the menu. Menu doesn't have tons of choices, but makes sense when everything is prepared fresh and what is on the menu is done extremely well. First, drinks... yum! They have a terrific happy hour deal. That is worth a visit on its own. It's pretty spectacular and the drinks are great. The good news is you can get the HH without sitting at the bar. We had an Old Fashion, a Lemon Raspberry Martini, a Lemon Drop martini, a Sidecar, and a Carajillo. All were well made and delicious. The Carajillo was amazing - better than an espresso martini!! The food was wonderful. First course was the Baked Avocado, Cream of Crab soup, and the mussels which weren't on the regular menu as they were a special. The Avocado was fabulous and not too heavy. The mussels were in a delicious broth. Cream of crab was good but not worth the $21 a bowl (just average as you would get anywhere else). Second course was Filet Mignon, Shrimp and Crab, and House Made Pork Sausage Pappardelle. All were delicious and served with sides that elevated the flavors. The filet is a fav! The portions were a great dinner size and not overwhelmingly huge. We skipped dessert, but they were all great choices. We had previously had their s'mores which is a must try! They do have good coffee as well. Great location, intimate setting, nice people and a wonderful place to visit for a wonderful meal. Worth visiting. Be prepared as they are pricey (over $300 for 4 people). It's odd because their Happy Hour is just such a steal for the craft cocktails available (I guess gets you in the door). Perhaps sit at the bar for HH and just get drinks for a reasonable option. Maybe throw in a charcuterie board to snack on while enjoying the libations. For sure will be back.

They have a small menu, but sometimes that's nice not having to make so many decisions and usually that means the courses are quite good. I ordered the peartini, which was good but didn't have strong pear flavor. They brought out bread with our starters (3 pieces for 2 people - I never understand that!) which was tasty and my salad course was delicious. My husband really liked his soup too! For our entrees, he got the filet mignon which he said was excellent, but my shrimp and crab with gnocchi dish was disappointing. I think the sauce broke so it was swimming in oil. I tried to eat the pieces off the top and the shrimp were huge and gnocchi very soft and flavorful, but I couldn't get over the amount of oil. For dessert, he got the crème brûlée which he enjoyed and I got the s'mores. Mine was good, but the chocolate was very thick and heavy. I was hoping for a lighter mousse to end my meal instead. Overall we had a nice time and enjoyed our date night out, but I think the food is a bit inconsistent.
