Very yummy and a fun spot to meet up with friends! It's right in downtown bel air.. not the greatest place to have a lot of people eat inside but it's nice for a few people to get together. The food is very good the breakfast potato's were amazing and it was super fresh! Very highly recommend

We visited on a Saturday after hiking king and queen seat, it was very busy so we had a wait of approx 30min. The neighborhood is cute. There are cute little shops nearby, you can distract yourself with while you wait. Food was decent standard diner food, and there are a few vegan, vegetarian options. We were a little disappointed there were no mimosas, but still had an enjoyable time. Service was wonderful, and the staff was super attentive. If you're ever in the Bel Air area it's totally worth a try. #enjoygoodpeople

I substituted potato with a fresh fruit salad and a side of substantially sized raw bread to go with my bland claw meat omelette

The Cafe is very small. if you have a party larger than four do not go without a reservation. waiting can be long and requires that you stand in a small hallway way out behind the restaurant. disabled folks will not be able to handle the weight especially if they need to sit down. do not by the lump crab meat omelette! it is definitely not made from lump crab meat more like claw meat. my omelette was so thin and only had tiny little pieces of meat inside that was very bland. for the price I paid I should have just gotten the big crab cake and threw it on top of my omelette and gotten better price.

Went today for brunch and got the raspberry crème croissant & loaded avocado toast! Very yummy!! Small place and it does have good food, it is almost a diner feel. Would def go again!

Turkey Panini

We love Sunny Day! We have been here many times. We usually get breakfast. My nephew ordered pancakes with whipped cream and one blueberry. The waitress was so sweet and happily obliged his order. Recently, we went and I ordered the turkey panini. Great bread (which makes a sandwich) and it was so good. Will get it again!

Back after 3 years and SDC is as popular as ever! We waited 40 minutes for a table at noon on a Sunday. Am rating my visit an aspirational 4 stars. Sat inside this time, which I did not enjoy as much as sitting outside. Ordered a Southwest omelette, which I do not recommend. The chili topping was thin and rather bland. I had to look on the menu to see what type of potatoes came with our meals, as the hard white potatoes you can see in the photos are not something I would call home fries. My 12 grain toast was right out of the wrapper from a packaged supermarket loaf and barely toasted. My companions enjoyed what they ordered. Service was distant but adequate. Will go back and order something else, hoping for a better meal!

Yummy "Banana Split" breakfast

Delicious food and sunny staff! It was a cold morning and the front door kept coming open, though! Brrrr. Hope they get it fixed soon. Definitely looks like a place the locals love because lots of walk-ins. We ordered the Banana Split with Greek yogurt, berries, banana, granola and honey. Perfect with our cups of coffee! Thanks, Sunny Day!

Strawberry cheesecake crepe

A cute cozy dining spot. They have indoor and outdoor seating which are pretty clean and maintained. I ordered the strawberry cheesecake crepe which was really good. The berries were sweet and fresh tasting, and the cream was smooth and evenly distributed. The staff were very pleasant, were quick to seat us, and our food came out relatively quickly. It does get crowded, and I can see why.

Quick seating, friendly service, food is tasty and well portion sized. Loved the low prices too :) try their s'mores coffee if you want something sweet!

Visited here for the first time on yesterday which was Saturday. They weren't taking reservations and it's a small spot. So there was a wait of about 30 mins which we were ok with. The service was great and we enjoyed our food. I ordered the Florentine crepe which came with mixed greens that had a dressing on it. I really enjoyed the dish. My friend ordered chicken and French toast. They allowed her to do French toast instead of waffles. She really enjoyed it. We also had the avocado toast with a fried egg instead of with the egg that normally comes with it. We both thought this dish was very tasty as well. My friend also ordered orange juice and she said it was very good. Overall this was a great visit and my friend was very happy that they were willing to accommodate changes to the dishes. On the weekends there is free street parking in the area. There is also a nearby garage with free parking on the weekends and also in the evenings during the week. If the restaurant is on your right when you past it make a right turn on Courtland and the garage is straight ahead on the left. This is a real convenience.

Veggie Omelette

The restaurant is so welcoming, everyone is so friendly and treats you like friends. It was a bit cold so we sat inside and it was warm and cozy. Now for the good part - the food was absolutely delicious! I had the veggie omelette with a side of scrapple. My father had the sunrise breakfast. Everything was cooked perfectly to order.

Service is good and they are very attentive. Our water glasses were never empty. Server very well acquainted with the menu and they even have specials off the menu. Menu doesn't have tons of choices, but makes sense when everything is prepared fresh and what is on the menu is done extremely well. First, drinks... yum! They have a terrific happy hour deal. That is worth a visit on its own. It's pretty spectacular and the drinks are great. The good news is you can get the HH without sitting at the bar. We had an Old Fashion, a Lemon Raspberry Martini, a Lemon Drop martini, a Sidecar, and a Carajillo. All were well made and delicious. The Carajillo was amazing - better than an espresso martini!! The food was wonderful. First course was the Baked Avocado, Cream of Crab soup, and the mussels which weren't on the regular menu as they were a special. The Avocado was fabulous and not too heavy. The mussels were in a delicious broth. Cream of crab was good but not worth the $21 a bowl (just average as you would get anywhere else). Second course was Filet Mignon, Shrimp and Crab, and House Made Pork Sausage Pappardelle. All were delicious and served with sides that elevated the flavors. The filet is a fav! The portions were a great dinner size and not overwhelmingly huge. We skipped dessert, but they were all great choices. We had previously had their s'mores which is a must try! They do have good coffee as well. Great location, intimate setting, nice people and a wonderful place to visit for a wonderful meal. Worth visiting. Be prepared as they are pricey (over $300 for 4 people). It's odd because their Happy Hour is just such a steal for the craft cocktails available (I guess gets you in the door). Perhaps sit at the bar for HH and just get drinks for a reasonable option. Maybe throw in a charcuterie board to snack on while enjoying the libations. For sure will be back.

They have a small menu, but sometimes that's nice not having to make so many decisions and usually that means the courses are quite good. I ordered the peartini, which was good but didn't have strong pear flavor. They brought out bread with our starters (3 pieces for 2 people - I never understand that!) which was tasty and my salad course was delicious. My husband really liked his soup too! For our entrees, he got the filet mignon which he said was excellent, but my shrimp and crab with gnocchi dish was disappointing. I think the sauce broke so it was swimming in oil. I tried to eat the pieces off the top and the shrimp were huge and gnocchi very soft and flavorful, but I couldn't get over the amount of oil. For dessert, he got the crème brûlée which he enjoyed and I got the s'mores. Mine was good, but the chocolate was very thick and heavy. I was hoping for a lighter mousse to end my meal instead. Overall we had a nice time and enjoyed our date night out, but I think the food is a bit inconsistent.

Tik Tok made me do it and I'm glad I did it!…read more My co-worker recently had been seeing some videos about the food at Newberry Cafe so of course we had to make a lunch time stop to see what everyone was talking about. Newberry reminds me of your hometown bakery where everyone gathers in the morning for their donuts and coffee before heading off to work. Very much like many of the shops in the Bel Air area. The employees are super nice at Newberry. Really taking their time to provide great customer service to each patron that strolls through the doors. Although it was lunch time we settled on breakfast sandwiches with homefries. And I of course had to grab a donut because it's a must, and a latte. The breakfast sandwich was just what you would want to start your day, a savory piece of meat and cheese on a soft bagel. But the star of the show was the homefries. Cooked and seasoned perfectly, crispy on the outside and a soft texture on the inside. We both loved the potatoes. My glazed donut was divine, pillowy with just the right amount of glaze to not make the donut too sweet. The latte was a little to sweet for me, but I'm a little finicky with the sugar level in many caffeinated drinks. All the times I've ventured into Bel Air I never thought to stop at Newberry and I'm glad I finally did. I'll definitely be back to try more of their yummy donuts and breakfast sandwiches in the future.
