Went to Sean Bolan's for a work function on a Wednesday night! We had a large group (12-16 people) so we had made a reservation ahead of time for Their private room on the second floor. It definitely has a lively Irish bar ambiance, it wasn't crazy crowded, considering it's a Wednesday but I've heard it definitely gets busy on weekends. They have a large screen in the private room, they allowed us to put on what we wanted. On the first floor, the bar area is slightly small but they have more room in the back. We ordered multiple appetizers for the group, we tried lamb chops, Irish egg roll, loaded tots, old bay and Cajun wings, crab dip. The wings and lamb chops are a must try from apps. They had a steak with veggies and scallop Alfredo special on the menu. Scallops were cooked to perfection, and I thought the Alfredo would be too heavy but it was actually well balanced and easy to eat. My coworker got the steak and they said it was so soft and cooked to their liking. Most of us got all the different kinds of crushes, I got the Jamison Irish crush, which was refreshing, if you're the type of person that does not like the taste of alcohol, this is a great drink, if you want to feel like you're drinking alcohol, this is not your drink. I was able to find street parking, free after 5pm. On weekends, the near by garage would be your best bet. Overall, I'm very pleased that this placed served very good food for a bar! I definitely want to check it out on the weekend.

Last call on Father's Day didn't disappoint. Excellent Fish n Chips and a nice French Dip. Tater tots were great but had to be take home, such a big portion

Stopped in for lunch yesterday and had the Fried Green Tomatoes & the Chesapeake Old Bay wings. Top that off with a few pints and life is good.

Popped in for a quick drink with a group of 4. Our server Kelsey was so nice and attentive. A simple drink did the job might pop back in and wet my whistle and maybe enjoy the balcony upstairs. Cute little place that seems very family oriented so bring the kids!

Sarah, the bartender was so sweet and attentive! My espresso martini was awesome! The soft pretzel was wonderful and I loved the house honey mustard that came with it! My favorite part of being in this Irish pub was listening to the Celtic music they had playing!

Chicken was under cooked, servers were rude when it was brought to their attention. Should have been given the meal. Unprofessional.

Pretty disappointing. Weck Egg Roll- very crispy but not much flavor. Greasy. The creamy horseradish is good Bangers and mash- potatoes are good; fluffy and creamy. Our server, Dee, maintained a professionally cordial and accommodating demeanor throughout the service. The cream of crab soup was exceptional: It possessed a desirable thin consistency, avoiding the heavy, pudding-like texture sometimes encountered. The portion of crab meat was generous. The flavor profile was exquisite. The quality of the draft beer indicated meticulous maintenance of the beer lines. The brownie sundae was satisfactory. Areas for Improvement (Negative Observations): My filet mignon was served with noticeably burnt edges. This was only discovered late in the meal, as the service up to that point had been ideal. Overall Conclusion: The overall rating assigned is a B+. Given the presence of the executive chef, an A-level performance was the expectation.

The crunchy onion straws. Then I bit into the white, flaky meat, hopeful it would match the caliber of its accompaniments. I was sadly mistaken. To avoid reaching for my dad to give me the Heimlich, I gulped water to get it down. Considering fish comes from water, it's quite a trick to make it taste like kindling. If you're going to serve your patrons dry fish and make them sweat to death in your hot dining room while they wait for refills, kindly put a carafe of water on each table. Or let them wear CamelBaks. Our waitress was clearly overworked. She was managing about 20 tables, making it hard to get more water--or anything, really. At least put man bun to work and have him ask customers if they need anything. Like water. If it were socially acceptable for me to wring my shirt into my glass, I would have. I didn't want to embarrass my father, so I refrained. I swore I wouldn't rip any more restaurants, but no one asked why I left three-quarters of my fish on the plate. Not the overworked waitress. Not the manager, who walked past our table half a dozen times, intentionally dodging eye contact. If they had, I would have told them the truth. Frankly, I think they already knew. So here we are. The truth hurts sometimes. Just like dry fish going down the gullet.

When we arrived back at our hotel bar they were about to close and suggested we check out this place. We followed there advice and were so glad we did. Upon entry they appeared to be closng down and said they go with the number of patrons to determine their closing time. This worked out greatly as once we arrived and only two other patrons were at the bar a swarm soon followed. Our favorite bartender is Laura. I noticed a huge difference in her making my drink and the other bartenders who only ask for your order but give no suggestions, do not offer to allow you to sample something on tap, and the potency. I soon realized that I will only recommend this place to others if Laura is the bartender. There were times we wanted to try something new, she asked a few questions and handcrafted us the perfect drink. Her personality was amazing, drinks were strong, and she kept people wanting to drink and be apart of the banter. If Laura isn't there I am not going. We went two nights in a row and the second night we were there we brought with us a couple we met who were in Bmore from Cleveland for a cruise. They enjoyed the place but it was missing her personality, patrons, and the drinks weren't as handcrafted, special or potent. now for the food. This is by far a pub with the best food I have ever tasted. I ordered the fish and chips that was an amazing fleshy piece of cob hand breaded and a jambalaya that too this day I am still dreaming about with its chunks of chicken breast, sauteed small pieces of sausage and gravy like texture filled with flavor that was bold and packed a welcomed punch. My partner had some type of irish sausage dish and loved it. We will return to visit Laura this spring for our next rendevous here for sure.
