Great place to grab delicious food and good drinks. They also have some great Happy Hour deals. We ordered a spicy margarita and a beer that was on tap (hazy IPA) that were both good. The spicy margarita was the perfect blend of heat and sweet (Sean was the bartender that made it). We ordered cheesesteak egg rolls (these alone are worth stopping into this place), sweet potato fries, tuna tenders, and the creamy tomato soup which is served like French onion soup is in a crock with melted cheese. Do not skip this soup! We were satisfied with all of the food choices. Every single bartender was super attentive and constantly checking to make sure that we were getting everything we wanted and needed. They were all super friendly and attentive. This is your typical bar atmosphere where everyone is friendly and people are enjoying themselves. There's two separate bar areas and ample seating around the main bar, as well in the other room. There is a back entrance and a front entrance into this restaurant. We have been to private functions here before. If you are looking for a venue for up to 150 people, check them out. They have very reasonable prices for catering and the set up of your own private room with your own private bar is a great option when hosting a gathering. The parking could be an issue as they have a very small lot. There are metered lots and streets nearby though so as long as you don't mind a super quick walk, you will be fine. This is a review of MaGerk's food truck at the Fallston Fire Department event on April 4th. In my opinion, an eatery's food truck should be an advertisement for the quality of the food at the main establishment. Therefore the food should be first rate. Not the case for the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich I ordered. In a word, it was terrible. Basically it was greasy hamburger meat spread over a mediocre bun, with little or no detectable cheese. I through most of it away. The fries I ordered were greasy and tasteless as well. My wife had their Smash burger, and that also was mediocre at best. NOT a good experience. Needless to say, I will not be ordering any more food from their food truck, nor will I go to their main establishment. read more

So years back I recall MaGerk's not serving Guinness and on St. Patrick's day several wouldn't frequent on their pub craw. This is not the case anymore so that's a plus. Another plus is the food quality. Today we had Chicken salad which had apple and walnuts. French onion was pretty decent and had a heavy hint of rosemary. I had the Jam on Burger which was great. This was our very first visit to MaGerk's. We were in the area to go to a bridal shop and while looking for a place to eat, someone walking past suggested this place. We were seated immediately and our waiter was with us quickly. Our beverages arrived in a timely fashion and the soup my dad ordered came out while the waitress was taking our orders. The pub is known for their Philly cheesesteaks. My mom got the sub and her only regret was the bread was crunchy on the outside. The cream is crab soup was a little too thick and was full of shells. My chicken sandwich however was pretty good. I didn't like the avocado under the melted provolone and the grilled breast was good but thin. We were seated in a booth that has plenty of room to eat comfortably and seat a party of four. The Jacks Hard Cider -Peach flavor was gooood. Had to double up on that!! I ordered the MaGerk's house salad which was delicious with the Raspberry Vinaigrette dressing. I also ordered the honey old bay wings to go with my salad and they were so delicious that I forgot to even take a photo. The same for dessert. Ordered the fried cheesecake. Yum . Before I could get that photo chomped down. It's accompanied by minds of whipped cream with a raspberry drizzle over them. Our server Sebastian was so attentive and funny, He is very good as a server. They also had a live band this night for entertainment. 970th different cheesesteak in the last four years. This was a big disappointment. I had earned a beer with my cheesesteak. I was in Maryland and wanted a Maryland version of a cheesesteak. I didn't like any of the beers on tap. MaGerks is a Philly based chain of Pub & Grills. I asked if they would use their cheesey crab dip as the cheese for my cheesesteak. They said no. I got the Philly cheesesteak, fried onions and american cheese. This cheesesteak came out fast, very fast. I don't know how they prepare the meat but this cheesesteak came out very fast. It needed a better cheese melt. Nothing was bad. I guess it is a good Maryland cheesesteak. read more

OK.. I should preface by saying that I give their crab dip nachos a 10.. Some of the best late night drinking food I've ever eaten. Just the perfect amount of crab dip, cheese, tomatoes, onion, chip.. everything was perfectly balanced. I wish I lived closer!! But, my scale wouldn't! We also ordered the fried pickles (tempura batter.. YES!).. Drinks were good, service was friendly.. the atmosphere is surely pub but with a bit of an elevation. Love the outdoor fire pit option, perfect for the cooler fall months. If it hadn't been sticky from the rain, we would've taken a sit out there. I like the TV in each booth option.. Magerks strong suit are their cheesesteaks. Solid offerings and the only place near Bel Air that does them with Cheez Whiz. The tomato soup is excellent as well. The rest of the menu is alright, nothing outstanding. The charcuterie plate is horrible, avoid at all costs. read more

The chicken just kept sliding off the bread. It would've been much easier if the sandwich had been cut or they had put a toothpick in it. Food is OK but the drinks are horrible. Literally the worst crushes I've ever had. I don't like my drinks strong, but my crush tasted like straight up orange juice. The waiter said they make their drinks "light" because they get a lot of younger folks that come in. Um ok? I still didn't order an orange juice with sprite. My husbands salad was good. Came to Fallston area to visit friends and we chose MaGerks for lunch and catching up. We were greeted promptly and our waiter Austin came right over asking for our drink order. When came back with drinks took our lunch order. We ordered the MaGerk's salad with blackened chicken, a plain MaGerk's salad and chicken fingers. All came timely and to temperature. Salads were excellent and chicken fingers were nothing remarkable. Atmosphere was comfortable and quiet for talking. We will be back. read more

We opted to have my farewell happy hour at MaGerk's and I was initially worried about there not being enough space inside for a larger group. When I arrived, I found a parking spot in the lot behind the restaurant, but there were only about 5 open spaces left. Others had to find street parking close by (but no one seemed to have any issues). We snagged 3 small tables right in the bar. One of the bartenders came over several times throughout the evening to take care of us. The Passyunk cheesesteak sub I got was really good, but the fried pickles sealed the deal for me. In the future, I know we will use MaGerk's more often as we all had a great experience. read more

Wow, what a great food find in Bel Air! Stopped by on a whim, and so glad I did! Everything I had was really good and service was top notch! I started with a glass of red sangria and it was a good size glass and tasty ($8.00.) I ordered a crock of french onion soup for an appetizer ($5.99); it was very flavorful and lots of cheese on top. For an entree, my mom and I split a turkey reuben. We opted for onion rings in lieu of potato chips for a nominal up charge. Our server graciously offered to split our entree and bring out on separate plates. Anyway, the sandwich was delicious - the turkey was finely prepared. The Thousand Island dressing was served on the side, in a small cup. Excellent food at reasonable prices with EXCELLENT service. Highly rexommend! read more

Stopped in for a beer and appetizer with my wife. Outside seating was a ten to fifteen minute wait even though we could see open tables. We sat at the inside bar and waited. It took a few moments for the bar staff to acknowledge us, but when she did she was polite. We each order a draft beer and looked over the menu. We never did order the appetizer since the bartender never came back. Thirteen patrons in the bar and multiple wait staff. Different bartenders walked passed us, each failing to ask us if we needed anything. We only got our check because we put cash on the bar to signal we wanted to leave. We got our change minus the coins, apparently that coin shortage really hit MaGerks hard. I'm sure if we shorted the bill seventy two cents the bartender would have been upset. But shorting us the twenty eight cents in change was standard practice. No we won't be going back. read more

Food was just ok. I got the cheesesteak with provolone, mushrooms and mayonnaise. Couldn't taste anything but the onions that came on it. The meat had no flavor and the onions were not cooked long enough, so they over powered everything. My wife got the salmon and broccoli. The salmon was good but the broccoli was bland. Third time here, time for a review. Have come in on weekends and weekdays. Never had a crazy long wait time to be seated. Service is generally very good. Generally, appetizers and meal served within a reasonable time. Tonight, I tried the MaGerk Chicken sandwich. Grilled chicken breast with lettuce, avocado, bacon, cheese and tomato. What made this sandwich better than other similar sandwiches from other restaurants, the tomatoes, were roasted. Made a huge difference in taste. And of course, those cheesesteak egg rolls for an appetizer, well, I could eat those everyday. You could make a meal just from those, but dammit, I had to share with my daughter. Our server this evening, was Nancy. She was very attentive and nice, even though her section seemed to be full, one table having about 10-12 seniors. From what I understand, they only have DJ's on the weekends. I think this place would do well having an acoustic act, once or twice a week. Just left this establishment and my frat brother was kicked out for questioning his bill because he was over charged by someone named George. He was extremely aggressive and throwing his hands in our faces when we came back and questioned why he charged us for 4 shots instead of 3. This place does not know how to treat customers especially those of color and of the LGBQIA+ community. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB first thing Monday morning. read more

I thoroughly enjoyed this place really for their wings. I got their Raven style wings and they were really good with old bay and honey. Doused in both, it was a grest combination of spice and flavor.
