Have yet to have a decent meal. We went a few weeks ago and they had grouper on the menu as a special. I've never had such a fishy piece of grouper. The filet wasn't cleaned properly nor cooked properly. We went again last weekend and they had blackened salmon on the menu as another special. Definitely tasted like a pre-frozen salmon filet. Very low quality. Very dry. To make it worse, they served it on plain white rice. It was hard to eat. On the plus side, the oysters were fresh, drinks were good, and service was good. Had seating in dinning so it was no wait. Shaun our sever was very polite juggling the tables white keeping a steady eye on everyone. We started with the crab dip bread bowl which was good bread was perfect dip was good lots flavors in all the best way but the cheese was hardened coming off in a sheet. I got the oysters from Delaware (personal preference) they were fresh but a bit on the smaller then used to but still good all the same. Likely the first time I'm writing a review on yelp noting that food was cold. Got there around noon on a Saturday and the place wasn't too packed so I can't think of an excuse to get a common brunch staple to be cold. My waffles were fine but the chicken (tenders) were missing breading on some parts. Oh and it could be more tender and served at least warm. Nice clean place and the servers were nice enough. But man, I was disappointed by the food even with my low expectations. read more

Had a wonderful Mother's Day lunch at Libs in Bel Air today. Evelyn the hostess was great and helpful. It was only the 2 of us today so we sat at the bar which was relaxing. Alicia, Abby, Halston, Lucas, Shaun and Vinnie were all so nice and made us feel welcome. We love going to Libs for the great food, atmosphere and hospitality. When Reservations were made for today no one mentioned anything to me regarding a limited menu which was horrible. The Food selections were sub par at best. In addition, our limited food choices were served cold. The entire restaurant was incredibly noisy to boot. Very very disappointed and I will never return. We went on a hike nearby so we stopped here for food. Staff was nice & the restaurant was clean but I was not a fan of my food at all. I had the crab cake hash and it was possibly the worst crab cake I had in Maryland. I normally don't have any bad experiences but this dish was really salty and I tried my best to finish it since I don't like wasting food but I really would not come back to this place after this dish. This is our local restaurant and a treasurer spot offering nice drinks and quality dining with food to match. Well, they use to offer quality food. Today we had lunch orders of meatloaf & beef burrata pasta. The pasta was decent although the meatloaf was not. The server quickly offered to replace the loaf with anything else and we got the crab cake sandwich. The crab cake too was horrible. Now both of these menu options were simply amazing in the past and what we came to realize is several meals are being premade from a local commissary. This is a detriment to the LIBS reputation and despite the awesome drinks & service, we lost LIBS as a favorite. read more

Went for drinks after 9 pm knowing we wouldn't have to wait for a seat at the bar. Was greeted quickly by the bartender. They always gave a changing cocktail menu for the season which is fun to see what flavor profiles they have created in their drinks. Nothing on the seasonal menu was intriguing to me so ordered an old time basic cocktail. Unfortunately, they ran out of the liquor needed (she even checked the back room). Settled for just a tequila & club. We also ordered another cocktail off of the menu, but it was so underwhelming that both of us can't even remember what it was called even after looking at the menu while writing this review. There is plenty of parking and this place has a bar, high tops, and a dining area. They even have a tented outside area for overflow to help with the crowds. Cute decor. Have been here before for dinner and will not go back for meals after that experience. However, we have been back for cocktails. This time was a bust though. My boyfriend and I came here for brunch. I was told it was a nice place for it. Luckily there was not much of a wait when we got there. There was indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant was nice l, they had an oyster bar and a full bar. The waitress was present but we had two waitresses. I am not quite sure why that was. I ordered a mimosa and they were good! They have Pepsi products for the non alcohol side. I ordered the double xl breakfast. The presentation was nice but it went south quick. I never had breakfast sausage that had absolutely no flavor. The bacon was not even flavorful either. My sunny side up egg was overcooked and they hid the really overcooked egg by the toast. It was hard to cut into and was just dry. The grits were too mushy for my liking. My boyfriend ordered the roseda burger. He said it was okay, it's a burger. Nothing that had wowed him. I found Lib's to be incredible! I was overwhelmed by the hospitality. Best burger I've ever had in my entire life. Fried oysters divine. Fish tacos delicious. Brussel sprouts crisp to perfection. The staff here is on point! I want to thank Emma our server. But every single member of the team genuinely added to our over all experience. Pleasant, friendly, delightful. The manager came over as well, kept our table clean and the drinks and food were brought out at the appropriate time. Dessert melt in your mouth raspberry lemon cake, milkyway cake and peanut butter explosion! Dirty martini perfect amount of olive juice to vodka! I'm just so happy! I can't thank all of you enough! Me and my family had went there for Easter dinner. I paid for reservations for 6 people and I have been to libs grill enough that I wanted to spend the holiday there at the buffet. I was absolutely mortified as I got a drink (28 yo) and handed my state ID to the waitress which seemingly was a normal exchange. Unfortunately that the was not the case when a male had arrived at the table asking to see my id again, and I showed him asking for clarification with him saying there was a discrepancy. He studied it, took it to the back with my ID? And came back saying that the staff had no knowledge of state ID's. It was embarrassing and mortifying for me. I hadn't even gotten my plate I was thrown all the way off after that. I spent over 300$ on MY tab as I wanted to treat my family. It is safe to say I will never go there again nor will my family. They didnt offer anything for the inconvenience. People were staring at me like I was a criminal and my family was taken aback by such an odd exchange. read more

Would not recommend this place. I ordered a Korean chicken rice bowl and deviled eggs. 33$ later I'm still hungry. First....the chicken was chewy and inedible. It was chewy and when I ripped it apart it was grey and disgustingly fried. It was just thrown in a bowl together and tasteless. Very disappointed. The deviled were okay at best. Finally got here for lunch with a good friend. We're regulars at the Perry Hall location and there is definitely a different vibe at this location. Space overall as well the Bar are bigger. We arrived at noon on a Friday and they were semi-busy. The Wedge Salad and MD Crab soup were tasty and enjoyed. I ordered the BBQ Bacon Fried Chicken. Seasoned well and tasty but a bit hard and maybe was in the frier too long? Substituted Parmesan Truffle fries and these were as good as I remember. We had a party of ten here over the weekend and thanks to Luke everyone was well taken care of! No one went without a refill. Every order was accurate. Service was quick and flavors were quite nice. Best items, in my opinion, were: pepita/pistachio crusted salmon with potatoes, spinach and butternut puree, greek salad and salmon blt. The chocolate mousse cake was great as well. Two people ordered them in our party and one plate had chocolate syrup plating while the other had caramel. Caramel worked much better. The one with chocolate syrup was dulled down as it tasted like hersheys while the caramel boosted the flavor profile of the other slice. We also tried the crab dip and steamed shrimp appetizers. Crab dip was okay--it could have used old bay or J.O or something to capture the classic crabby flavor. The MD crab soup was excellent due to the lump crabmeat being present. Me and my fiancé just got married today and we went here after our court ceremony, the General Manager congratulated us and sent us some very tasty deserts to celebrate with. I entered and went straight to the bar. I was greeted within 30 seconds and about a minute later had menus to look through. The look and feel of the place is like a standard contemporary restaurant with a bar...nothing too fancy. I chose an old fashioned (my staple) as my cocktail and their deviled eggs with crab as an appetizer. The old fashioned was okay, the balance was pretty good but was served with regular ice which waters down a drink fast. Good drink, not envelope pushing. The deviled eggs were okay, a little dry actually which was disappointing. Not bad but I have had better from here before. My entree was the baby kale Caesar salad with grilled chicken. Well the salad came fast which was great, but it was spinach instead of kale lol. I didn't say anything because I had a time crunch but it was good! The kale, I mean spinach was decently fresh and the dressing wasn't overdone. The croutons were crisp and the chicken was a little small but done properly. I also grabbed a Balvenie 14 neat and received a nice pour, cheers! Overall this is a decent stop. I have been here before and typically have a better experience than today but today was just meh. We love Libs Grill and have been going since they opened in Bel Air! Alicia and Molly are the sweetest, and are kind with my 6 month old son. They never seem frustrated when we have to leave quickly because of our baby- they always help pack up our food and get the check asap. They're all so kind, and always remember my mother in law, and my orders! The managers are incredibly sweet and are the only place around where the managers ACTUALLY care about your experience! Also, the steak was not a filet cut. It was chewy like chewing gum. I know filet, and that was new york strip 100%. After sending back my food twice, there was not a deduction from my bill.
