Atmosphere was good without being overbearing. Service was good. Took a minute for someone to get to me, but after delivery was good. Food was good work an American twist. Ordered the Moxie Melt, though it didn't indicate weisswurst. Crispiest potatoes ever

Crab dip pretzel (regular size) and egg custard crush

Went here on a Friday night for a friend's birthday party and it was packed! I see this is the place to be on a Friday night in Bel Air. The parking out front is pretty large so you shouldn't have to worry too much but again it does get pretty full. My friend and I ordered a crab dip pretzel and a knockwurst with fries. The crab dip portion was amazing but it just ended up making the pretzel taste soggy which after a few bites was less than pleasant. The knockwurst was just okay. The description said it had spices and garlic to it but honestly I tasted none of that.... At least the fries were crispy and warm which I enjoyed. There's an extensive drink menu especially if you love beers and ciders. My friend ordered an egg custard crush (which there has to be at least 30 different flavors) and liked it. The service was also not the best to be honest but with grace since the place was packed. Not necessarily somewhere I would feel comfortable going to again but great for people who live in that area.

I was really pleased with my entire experience at Das Bierhalle. I had a long drive home so stopped at the closest place I could find for dinner. The service was top notch. All of the bartenders were awesome. I also got to experience trivia night. All in all a cool place with good people, food and beer. I'd definitely visit again.

Stuffed cabbage rolls, pickled cucumber salad, personal pretzel

Went here with a group for a few World Cup matches recently and every visit was great! It was a little loud, but that is to be expected in the bar area. Good services, lots of options, reservations available. Would highly recommend!

Crab dip pretzel

Had a great lunch here. Crab dip pretzel and an Old Bay sausage for me, the meat loaf for my uncle. The pretzel was amazing, with a dip I highly recommend anywhere you find it on the menu. And the pretzel? Well, it made me realize my pretzel knowledge is 98% ballparks and arenas...and those are hot garbage. Waxy, chewy, too dense. This thing? A cloud of joy. Server was very attentive and helpful for most of the visit...until a largish lunch crowd taxed her beyond it making sense she was the only server. Thankfully, the kid delivering food out of the kitchen kept things turning over. Neat place. While loud pubs for sports aren't really my own thing, this place looks like a winner for a ballgame. I bet it's popular and fun.

GET A FREAKING PRETZEL!!! This is our go to for a laid back lunch or dinner. They always have a great selection of beers on tap and in cans and they make yummy crushes! The staff is super friendly and they share tables so you get checked on a lot. There is always something fun going on there!

A few of us checked out this location for brunch since the Bel Air Wine Festival was canceled. Breakfast was great and I loved the breakfast potatoes Service was good and we sat in the quieter side of the bar! $6 crushes and they are 32oz!!! Highly recommend for brunch!

I had a great experience here! The staff was attentive, it didn't take long to be served, it wasn't too loud. It was a nice place, you can sit inside, by the bar, or on the rooftop. They have plenty of beer options, and they have 32oz cruses, margaritas and mimosas with so many flavors. I was impressed. They have traditional German food here, and I love Jager schnitzel, which is what I got. Also the best red cabbage I've ever had. That was 10/10. The cucumber salad was also very good. The only thing I was not crazy about was, I tried my boyfriends French fries, they weren't up to par, but that's okay. I was not there for the French fries. I will be returning!

I'be been meaning to check out this place since it has replaced Black eyed Suzies and finally went there on a Monday around 4:30 with some work people. We did make a reservation ahead of time so there was no issues/wait getting seated The staff was very friendly, and attentive. Since it was a Monday night, the place wasn't too busy and I'm sure that had a lot to do on the vibe of the place, hence I did not feel a warm or lively atmosphere. We had 6 people so we tried a few apps. We tried the pick 3 bratwurst, beef, pork and veal. The sausages were decent, nothing mind blowing. We also tried loaded nachos- which was also average because they had queso and unmelted shredded cheese on top, which was not the best choice of ingredients. Sweet potato fries had mint sugar dipped and probably is better as a dessert than an appetizer because they are very sweet. I have tried char grilled liver in the past, and wanted to be adventurous so I ordered the liver wurst. I definitely had to stop eating it after one bite because the flavor of the liver and sauerkraut on rye bread did not go well. My coworker on the other hand ordered the stuffed cabbage and was very pleased with it, I tried a bite and actually was very tasty. In addition, we were seated at a high top table and the table does not have a railing to rest your legs, plus the chair do not have any back support so seating was very uncomfortable, especially for anyone with back issues, won't be able to sit there for too long. I would probably give this place another chance and order other things on the menu before I write it off but I wasn't too impressed with my first visit.

We tried this restaurant in Bel Air with the German Cuisine and it was great. We had the sauerkraut and pretzel bites appetizers. Super ! Then the stuffed cabbage with four different side. Really well prepared and delicious. Service was very good and the atmosphere is very warm and welcome. If you like the German cuisine , try this place for sure.

Great spot for a beer or flight while exploring Bel Air, MD…read more Minutes, hop skip and jump away from The Liriodendron Mansion. Checked that spot out for their holiday market and after driving from DE need some time to decompress with some local drafts. The brewery has over 20 different brews with sours, stouts, IPAs and lagers. Service was quick and efficient with them walking through all the different pours and offering samples to peak my interest. Their seasonal peppermint bourbon will blow you away. I usually don't do the dark beers but I would drink this all night long until Santa arrives. The space is both indoors and outdoors with special events that take up their community area with the taproom usually open to the public during events like Christmas Wreath workshop.

While I am not familiar with other local breweries and am not a connoisseur of beer in general, this place seemed like a nice social hub, with a food truck on site and live music. The only thing I wasn't a fan of is that there is no table service, so you have to stand in a fairly long line to get drinks yourself each time you want a drink (or food from the food truck), yet they ask for gratuity (not a fan of the business model when personal service isn't really provided). I went with their "Blue Eyed Blonde" beer. It was nice and cold, but also felt it wasn't anything special for a Belgian blonde beer compared to others I've tried. Beers are decently priced at $6-8 for a glass. There's a mix of indoor and outdoor patio seating, and the area with live music does tend to get packed when music is being performed. I would rate the place a 3.5/5, but happy to round up since Yelp doesn't allow for half stars. I'd recommend a visit to Independent Brewing Company if you're looking to socialize and try out a local spot for beer in Bel Air.
