Small little restaurant/dinner attached to a bowling alley but with great bar food!!!!! Grilled cheese and gravy fries are my fav! Best fries ever!!! The bartender is the happiest, nicest guy I have ever been around. Waitress and super sweet and attentive. Hostess is young and she is new. Hopefully she will get better and learns to smile. Looking at Yelp for locations that I haven't been to yet and I happened upon this one. It has some of my favorites from other places, so I tried out the crab pretzel; not my favorite flavor and style but it was different and it had some qualities that others did not. Acoustics weren't the best for our location but the atmosphere was very nice with multiple tv's on multiple channels and a nice touch for ascetics. read more

four of my family members had lunch on Sunday August 31st to celebrate my sister's birthday. i was unable to attend but called to see what seafood specials there were so they could bring food back to me. Tiffany took the time on phone to list menu and offer recommendations so I could advise my daughter what I wanted. Tiffany was great with me and also a terrific server. Everyone raved about what they had at restaurant. I am very pleased with my food. I ordered sea bass stuffed with crabmeat and a side salad. the portions were very large and was enough for two dinners. It was delicious and I highly recommend. We connected eyes and I thought he'd head to the containers, but instead he went in the other direction and did something totally different. By the third time, and me waving to get the attention of two waitresses chatting, ours finally returned to ask if we were finished. Yeah. We were. Needless to say I was unimpressed. A place that touts steak and fish should have more than 2 steak options, while offering a plethora of seafood options. And the waitstaff should consider helping one another out. Very disappointed in the customer service not only from the waiting staff but also from the manager. They have "rules" in place and hold a double standard for certain customers. We were denied service for having a minor with us (10 years old). As time went on we watched other families in the same situation have no problem. I inquired about this and we were told by the manager "we know them". This was very unfair and frustrating to watch. My family lives in this part of Maryland so I have been here several times over the years. Its a family friendly seafood restaurant with lots of options. Its in the local bowling alley but don't concern yourself with that. The restaurant definitely is way more upscale than you would think. I had the shrimp imperial stuffed scallops. The scallops were very well cooked, not overcooked, good sear on them. The shrimp imperial instead was yummy. Got cream sauce. Nice flavor. It came with a standard side salad. My family had a variety of other things and everyone enjoyed their meals. The waitress was very attentive and brought us lots of extras. My mom always likes to eat my croutons of my salad. The waitress brought my mom and aunt a whole bowl of croutons to snack on. She was great and very friendly. I think she was worked there for years. The restaurant does have karaoke on weekends so come early if you want to avoid that. Looks like they have a older bar scene too if you are interested. I am sure the next time I am in Forest Hill visiting family, we will come here again. read more

I see a lot of mixed reviews for this place. Seems to be the norm of most places today - inconsistency. My visit was excellent. Service was very good and the food was much better then expected. I ordered the 1lb. hamburger and asked for it without the bun and for fried onions and gravy on top. My girlfriend ordered the crab cake with a side of broccoli. The food came out in a timely manner. Mine was outstanding! Full of flavor, the gravy was excellent and the fries were cooked perfectly. My girlfriend said her crabcake was very good. I tasted it and agreed. I found it much better then a fairly nearby venue that people rave on and on about which I cannot understand. My 1 lb. burger with fries, fried onions and gravy was only $8.50. Our total lunch bill was around $20 plus a 20 percent tip. We will be back. read more

It's been a few years since I've been here and remember the prices to be great and food to be okay when we went in person. We decided to order take out this week; I was craving seafood. Still, prices are very reasonable but the food was less than mediocre. The crab pretzel was completely inedible. It was hard as a rock; couldn't even cut into it. I give them credit for putting 5 pieces of lump crab on top but it wasn't crab dip, just the 5 pieces of crab. So we could only eat the crab meat and not the pretzel. If you love mayonnaise on your seafood...this is the place for you. All you'll be able to taste is your favorite condiment. They even keep a bottle on every table just in case you need more. The broccoli side was overcooked and had a weird tanginess to it, almost like they boiled it and dipped it in mayonnaise (surprise!) The crab pretzel had a couple pieces of crab meat but at least it was doused in....you guessed it... mayonnaise! Oh and the crab imperial that everyone is raving about? It was so greasy that the mayonnaise was separating from the crab meat. Needless to say we spent $50 in butter and mayonnaise. Good luck! Even the free "gourmet" chocolate was odd. I had lunch here today 9/3/21 and found that they had a huge price increase. I always get Shrimp Parmesan for lunch around $8.95 but they increased it to$12.95! Needless to say, jumping the price that much, they will not be seeing me again. I went a lot for my lunch for the $8.95 and it was well worth it but to jump the price $4.00 a meal, goodbye!! I was just there about a week ago so this increase just occurred. They are going to lose a lot of business with this increase. They have a fantastic Maryland blue crab soup. Its in a lovely veggie broth chunked full of crab and veggies. I like this because it didn't have the heavier creamier broth of bisques or chowders. The crab cakes were good with lots of chunk crab meat and crispy on the outside. I would have preferred a little less mayo but I find finished both cakes with ease nonetheless. Ordered a Caesar salad with shrimp. The shrimp smelled like it had been sitting out all day. I couldn't even eat the lettuce around it. The sad part was that the waitress knew the salad was inedible; after a full 20 minutes of avoiding our table, she finally came to our table and affirmed, "You didn't like it, huh?" Meanwhile, my husband had eaten as much of his mediocre fish as he could. Very disappointing. The tables were greasy, the menu was crusty. Our family went here for a birthday celebration. The host told us we were allowed to bring in wine as a birthday surprise. The bartender told us no BYOB in the restaurant, but we could BYOB into the bowling alley. We waited until after dinner and went bowling. We opened the bottle of wine and began bowling. The black man who is behind the shoe counter (he refused to tell us his name) came over to us and was extremely disrespectful to the women in our party for having a cup of wine. He told us if we gave them the wine, they would allow us to continue to bowl. After giving up the wine with no hesitation, the black man still kicked us out of the bowling alley during our sick grandmothers birthday party.Then the ignorant manager of Fisherman's came over and told us that we were lying because he has "seasoned" employees and they would never tell us we could bring in wine on a Saturday night, it's only allowed during the week days. He then told me to "get out of his sight, that he doesn't even want to look at me." You don't ever talk to another human being like that, especially not a family who just spent $300 on dinner for their sick grandmothers birthday dinner!!! Without our business this ignorant asshole wouldn't have a job!! Seasoned employees? Really? This couldn't be farther from the truth seeing as we were told three different things by three different employees. Doesn't sound like a seasoned employee to me. This place is a dump and the management ensured that we never have the desire to return. Please spread this message to anyone you know who even considers spending their money at this "restaurant". I was hesitant to order anything when I went to Karaoke night with a bunch of friends, but I'm glad I did. I couldn't imagine a bowling alley attached restaurant being any good, however, the stuffed mushrooms were probably the best I've had in Maryland yet. After eating the mushrooms, a few friends ordered more food and I have to say that everyone loved their food. Great little secret spot with excellent food!
