Soft serve banana split. It was huge!!
Tess T.

A Upperco/Hampstead gem. They have extreme milkshakes, regular cones and cups, banana splits, snow cones etc. Friendly service just a wonderful ice cream stand. It's attached to Farmer Stan's Plants and produce and Chard Barbecue. I highly recommend stopping there for food, plants and various events. There's also a small petting zoo with farm animals.

First timer here. Ordered an Oreo milkshake and had no idea what I was getting myself into until I saw the kid in front of me get his Oreo milkshake and wow, this was an extreme milkshake. I'm a big whipped cream fan so I appreciated the mountain of whipped cream on the milkshake. Consistency was perfect and it had the right amount of Oreo crumbles. I don't even remember how much this milkshake but whatever the price was, it was worth it. I wish I would have ordered it in a glass though. I was getting this milkshake to go and wasn't sure if this was one of those places where you returned your glass so I opted for plastic. Now I have an excuse to return so I can order another milkshake, but this time in a Bus Stop mason jar.

I seem to only visit on the hottest days of the summer. Honestly, it was too hot for an ice cream treat for me, but my son ordered an extreme Oreo milkshake. He couldn't finish it so before it could melt completely, we got it home to the freezer for later enjoyment. I do like the glass jar that it comes in which we got to take home. Hours change in the fall so check before you make the drive. While there, stop and pick up a plant or a pit beef sandwich at one of the on-site vendors.

After seeing so many Instagram posts about the Xtreme milkshakes this place makes, my little and I decided to make a 40 minute drive to this place. They make it look so amazing with the sprinkles, candy decorations and the ginormous mounds of whipped cream. The milkshakes tasted just ok. It was a lot of whipped cream, a few pieces of candy, and we found that the milkshakes were more milky then thick. The Oreo and chocolate chip cookies were nothing special, like right out of the box. They do have other ice cream treats. Floats, and snow cones. The workers there are very friendly and helpful. If we happen to be nearby, we might visit there again, but we are unlikely to make that long trip out there anytime soon.

Secluded location + Friendly staff + yummy ice cream. I've been twice in 2 weeks for my kids but will be returning alone to enjoy one of their famous milkshakes.

PB extreme milkshake

The extreme milkshakes are amazing! Always great customer service and so many different options. Love that it changes so there's always something new and seasonal. Last time the milkshake was more milk than ice cream which was a little disappointing. The machine and quality does have trouble when there are a lot of customers there, understandably. Must check out especially with the BBQ and beer joint now attached.

Ice cream heaven! And talk about presentation!! This is a great place to bring the kids for a special treat or a date for a memorable experience. They have outdoor seating and they are connected to a nursery, brewery and barbecue stand. Great little hidden gem. Treats range from $5-$10.

Great white extreme milkshake special!

OMG. The. Milkshakes. I cannot say better things about The Bus Stop. They have awesome and fun flavored milkshakes that come with the cutest toppings! When I went to the Bus Stop it was shark week and they were very festive and offered special menu items for the occasion! I had the Great White Extreme Milkshake filled with Cookie Monster ice cream, gummy sharks and graham cracker dust as sand! It was one of the best (and cutest!) shakes I've ever had. Not to mention for an extra dollar you could get it in a personalized bus stop mason jars, totally worth it. They also serve snowballs and other goodies! I will definitely be rushing back.

My Extreme Oreo milkshake was really good. My friend liked his s'mores milk shake but thought it tasted plain, like just normal choco milk. However, I loved my choice! Will pass through here again.

This "Bus Stop" is attached to Spring Meadow Farms. There's also a brewery next to it, as well as Char'd (a BBQ spot). There is ample parking in the parking lot and outside seating. The staff were extremely nice. The Cookies and Cream shake was pretty good. My fellow foodies ordered snowballs and said they had good flavor. It was pretty dreary when we went so there was no line. But, I can imagine on a hot day for there to be more of a crowd. I would definitely stop by this nice gem again.

The service was amazing. The customer was friendly and the milkshakes are incredible! We had a great experience and we will visit again. So many options and they will surprise you with a mystery shake.

This place is delicious! They are kinda known for their extreme shakes which are HUGE and served in a take home glass mason jar with The Bus Stop logo on it. They also have snowballs, milkshakes, soft serve, hand dipped ice cream and açaí bowls. They are a bit pricey and definitely a once in awhile place, but they are good. On warm summer nights this place can get PACKED! And the wait for your order can be a bit long, but it's totally worth it.

Xtreme Milkshakes

Desperately wanting something sweet and special, my mini me and I ventured out to the Bus Stop in hopes of scoring an Xtreme milkshake. It was about a 40 minute drive for us, which we happily did with the images of all the "xtremely" awesome concoctions we'd seen on Instagram and Facebook dancing in our heads. That was rookie mistake #1 because upon arrival we quickly learned that only two types of shakes were being offered (The Brownie Xtreme and Cicada crunch). Now the name alone put us off of the Cicada option initially but we also didn't want two brownie shakes so we just went ahead and got one of each. That was mistake#2. Always trust your gut people!! Both milkshakes looked very cool at first glance but after really digging in we were a bit underwhelmed. The cicada crunch had a lot of mushy captain crunch which made it hard to drink, the brownie shake was an average chocolate and both were topped with about 95% whipped cream with a couple pieces of toppings. The sprinkle rim gives the illusion of more than is truly there topping wise, so I feel like we both took a few sips and were kind of over it. To be fair and transparent we both have a major sweet tooth, I mean it's a problem! So we have had lots of specialty shakes, sundaes, etc and really love having the ability to drool over various ingredient and pick what tickles our fancy that day. The limited shake offering kinda bummed us out and then only liking 50% or what we got didn't exactly leave us wanting to come back for more. This place has lots of other things to choose from snowballs ice cream etc. hence why we went ahead and gave it 4 stars but for anyone going solely for the Xtreme milkshakes like we were, I'd say do your research. Find out what the shakes of the moment are and look very closely at what's included to avoid any disappointment.

Wow! I hadn't been here in more than 20 years and it was almost exactly as I remembered right down…read moreto the delicious appetizers, the fried chicken, vegetables and ice cream for dessert. We arrived and waited just a couple minutes to place our orders and pay for our meal. The hostess seated us immediately and our server got our drink orders and brought our drinks and appetizers. The apples and apple butter were great and those sugar rolls were amazing. I ate 5 of those sugar rolls and they were so delicious we had to order more. I had a special with a 6 oz broiled crab cake and two pieces of fried chicken. The crab cake was jumbo lump and the fried chicken was on point and the way I remembered it. With it they gave us green beans, corn and French fries which were all delicious. My friend got the fried chicken but she got white meat chicken which they provided two full huge breasts and a wing. I opted for dark meat with my crab cake and got a leg and a thigh. It was absolutely delicious and our server, April, was fantastic and took care of all of our needs. My friend who goes there frequently says that she's had April before and she is just super efficient and takes care of all of the needs as she did last night. I opted to get moose tracks for my ice cream last night and it was outstanding although I'm not sure how I was able to eat the ice cream after everything else I ate last night. This is a great restaurant and I look forward to going back sooner than 20 years so that I can experience such a great meal again. I highly recommend you give this restaurant a try it's an experience you don't want to miss.

This is a nice place for a once in a while dinner. There is a long list of unlimited sides such as…read morepeach slices, bread (plain that comes with butter packets and sugared), salad, green beans, etc.. But to get those unlimited sides, you need to order a main course. Interestingly enough, you start by telling them how big your party is and order right away. Then, they will overhead to seat you. Fried oysters 10/10: I'm more of a raw oyster gal but wow, these fried oysters were consistent in size. I found them to be super tasty. My family member got the fried shrimp and I do think that tops what I got. Very country, home, cozy vibes here.
