Raspberry oat ice cream on a waffle cone
    Mark H.

Glad to come back here. One scoop of raspberry and oat ice cream on a waffle cone! Great nondairy ice cream. Ate it in the parking lot because it was too wet to sit at outside tables.

2023: same great ice cream. Same great service. Seems the 8 people in line in front of me weren't from the area, so it goes to show- they attract people from all over (one family was in town from Seattle-baseball at Cal Ripken stadium in aberdeen!) Two young men working alone inside, the rest of us were outside in a line. Seems they've had to close the door due to thieves . Broken into twice the front door glass had been shattered and is now blocked with a very pertinent sign: admonishing that people support and respect local businesses (Shame you have to make such a statement) Flavors didn't disappoint: wanted a sundae and willing to risk "new and different options": per a customers behind me, I had UBE (purple), Raspberry, and Beer Butter (unbeknownst to me this is tied to Harry Potter somehow). Had fudge, strawberries, wet walnuts, whipped cream and cherries and banana Per the young man behind the window: they will listen to customs and offer up the "non traditional flavors". UBe is one such: brought to their attention by a family from the ?Philippines. Says it's a purple yam from their home. To me, tasted like cookies and cream but then with an odd after taste that I didn't care for. (But with all the other flavors and toppings it wasn't bad) The butter beer was almost like butter pecan/caramel, and the raspberry was, well raspberry. The scoops of ice cream sit in a traditional sundae boat, atop the sliced banana, but the fudge and nuts and strawberries are also "below". The topping is the whipped cream and cherry This scenario sorta makes sense, but only because the boat/container isn't large enough to pour these toppings ON top I didn't mind it, but it was def a twist I shouldn't eat ice cream, and def not this much...but I did. And I loved it now, like I loved it then! AND the young man reaffirmed that all the ice cream is made there...on-site Highly suggest you support: local. Open year round. Opened late. And has some unique flavors!

I've tried maybe a dozen of their rotating flavors and have yet to find one I don't like. Outside seating is the best! Always quick service here - if there is a line, the staff keeps it moving.

Flight of ice cream and affogato with birthday cake ice cream

I've got to say that I'm a fan of this ice cream place. I rarely come to Edgewood, but made the drive because the ice cream flights lured me in. Gone are the days of having to choose 1 or 2 flavors, now I can eat 6! It is a very cute little ice cream shop. The staff was very nice and the place was clean. The ube ice cream was really good, but my favorite was the line sorbet. I also enjoyed the strawberry cheesecake and the butter pecan. The consistency of this is cream is a bonus because it doesn't melt too soon and it is just what you need on a warm day. I wasn't a big fan of the toasted coconut, but I love they there was a dairy free flavor available. At the time they weren't taking window orders so we did go inside, but that's not a problem. I enjoyed that my flight scoops were a good size because I was able to taste and enjoy, I was so full after eating it. I'm not sure how the affogato was because I didn't taste it, but I heard it was just ok from my s.o. who got it. It may have been the type of coffee used. I like the area outside because you have 3 tables to choose from to enjoy without a rush.

Stopped in for a Saturday ready. The staff is friendly and seems to be handling the crowds well. The serving size for the cup and come is pretty generous. I had to have my girls eat their ice cream down before heading hole. The prices were pretty good for the amount of ice cream you get. I'm on a diet so didn't get any but I'll be back !

A real delight! I had a chocolate salted caramel milkshake and took a pint of ube to go. Fun, rotating flavors, friendly staff. What's not to love?

Box Hill is officially in my top 3 of best crab cakes in the area. I just need to go back to Koco's and see which one is my official number 1. For those that are curious, I'm comparing Box Hill to Koco's in Baltimore and Pappas in Glen Burnie. If you're from the area you know exactly what I'm talking about. So of course we had to order the pizza. The pizza... Wow. We had the Boxhill deluxe which was everything on the pizza. Ingredients from the meats to the cheese were so fresh. The sauce was perfect for the toppings, and the CRUST... perfect amount of crust and not too thick. I never had New England pizza and never knew what it was till now. Real game changer. I decided to also order the crab BLT. WOW... Each bite I took, lumps of crab meat just kept falling out the sandwich. So in order from last to first. 3. Pappas 2. Koco's 1. Boxhill? If y'all go it's definitely a great experience. Not just for the food but the hospitality and great customer service. Nico what's going on man! Keep doing what you're doing!!

The restaurant was soooo cold so I'm not sure if they just purposely dont turn on the heat since the hot pot/korean bbq will be sure to keep you toasty. For the table we got the hot pot and the korean bbq options. For Korean bbq we got the beef bulgogi, galbi, garlic shrimp, squid and onions. They brought a decent amount of all of them to the table. For hot pot we ordered two broths per family. I got the pork bone broth that was very light in flavor. For hot pot items you have to walk up and gather your own meats, veggies, noodles etc. On the other side there a small sauce/seasoning bar, dessert bar and an ice cream area. Other all the korean bbq meats were pretty good! The garlic shrimp had the best seasoning. The cut of the galibi was a bit fatty but still pretty good. They were really good at changing the grill ever so often. The hot pot items were great additions to the broth. The staff was also nice. Overall a good spot to meet up with some friends. The price point I thought was expensive (2 people for both hotpot/korean bbq on a Saturday was $100+ with tip) but it was still fun and we left with very full tummys.
