Black cherry, watermelon and mango with marshmallow
    Steve R.

Black cherry, watermelon and mango with marshmallow ices at Tropicool Italian Ices on Falls! I am not an ices fan, but our manager treated us as a thank you (we sat in the shade). I knew I wanted watermelon and marshmallow as childhood flavors. Then I asked the young man (as the ices professional) what two other flavors he recommended as "complementary" to it. Nor am I a mango person. However, the sweet mixture was the best! Nice staff and many flavors plus soft serve, as well. Might be the best ices around here!

The absolute best place to get italian ice and soft serve ice cream, even on a rainy day! The lemon ice is by far the best ever and the soft serve is truly unmatched. The consistency from both the ice cream and italian ice are unique and delectable! There is nothing like it! Additionally, the staff are always nice!

Had some family visiting who wanted ice cream and water ice. This establishment had been on my radar for a while, so it was the perfect time to go. Among the three of us we ordered a strawberry water ice, pineapple water ice and peach gelato. Everyone loved their desserts, except me. I had the pineapple water ice and it was freezer burnt. The flavors are more natural and less sweet than Rita's, which is why it was on my radar. The consistency is much thicker and it lasted a long time before melting, so you really can enjoy your treat before it becomes juice.

By far the best Italian ice around! Can't beat the flavors of the price. Rita's is nonexistent in my book.

Tropicool is our go-to place for flavored ice. I especially like half-ginger&half-lemon. The folks who work there are always nice.

My favorite snowball stand in Baltimore. So many different flavors. I'll travel to thos location before trying another one. Shaved ice!

Delicious! The service was friendly for me. The watermelon ice and banana smoothie were great. I'm happy to have an Italian ice spot nearby!

That was a great decision! It was super crowded around 9 p.m. on Friday evening and not surprising after sampling two or three of their delicious ice creams I opted to get the mountain mint which was absolutely delicious and a sugar cone. A single scoop was overflowing the cone and luckily they provided me with a small cup to catch the overflow. For what was provided it was very reasonable and I look forward to going back and trying some of their other flavors in the future If you're looking for a sweet treat and you're in Hampden, give this place a try. Highly recommend it.

Super cute spot, clean, inviting, and with a great variety of flavors. Alex recommended the Maryland Mud and roasted strawberry, and both were absolutely delicious. Honestly, ice cream this good doesn't even need toppings. Pair it with a waffle cone, and it's the perfect combo. Street parking is available, but it can get pretty busy on the weekends. Don't be afraid to park a little farther away, it's worth the walk. Take your time walking to the shops around and then treat yourself to some ice cream at The Charmery. Good lord, I almost forgot about the red velvet cookie. Don't leave without getting one.

In fact while we were there they greeted every customer and said goodbye to every customer. Since we were first timers they went over all of their offerings. They had a variety of ice cream flavors in addition to soft serve (in addition to snow balls and food). My wife and oldest daughter got soft server (vanilla and chocolate), my youngest got strawberry cheese cake and I got black cherry. I really enjoyed mine as it was very rich and creamy. The ice cream was so good that there was very little sharing going on. I got a single scoop and I was a little surprised about how big the portion size was. The shop was decorated really nicely and had a cool vibe. Overall we had a really great experience and would highly recommend.

I ended up waiting a few minutes, but there were others in the back standing this whole time. I asked to try 2 flavors, and this person who had finally walked over said ok two scoops? I said no I'd like to try, they responded saying 1 sample per person (but it was the tone that turned me off). I tried the flavor I was most unsure about and moved on. They do give a good amount of ice-cream, and they said something about it being the only _____ dairy ice-cream in Baltimore. It was decent ice-cream but I dont need to go back. Otherwise seemed like a cool spot, with a few meal deals and specials.

Staff was friendly and helpful, allowing me to sample a few different ice flavors. They have some really unique combinations that were very fun. I'm more of a soft serve ice cream person than an Italian Ice fan so for me, I care more about the ice pairing well with a chocolate vanilla twist. Some of the more complicated ice flavors probably wouldn't go well with a soft serve twist, so I played it safe and got my usual: pistachio ice with chocolate vanilla swirl. I ended up getting a larger size this time around and while it was totally delicious, it was HUGE! The soft serve was well incorporated around the entire cup making each bite delicious. Love this place and will definitely be back next time the craving strikes!
