Spinach & Bacon quiche
Jenny T.

Yes. Wow. We were doing all the ice cream trail spots and this was my favorite place by far. The lights were still off when we got there at 10ish but they were already in the back prepping things. Huge selection of cheese and meats for sale, the ice cream was soooo creamy and decadent. The Mac and cheese I was going to take a few bites in the car but I ended up finishing it. I heated the quiche later that day and it was fantastic. Need to come back and sit down for a proper meal and ice cream next time I'm in the area!!

Amazing chili!!!!
Beau A.

First stop after landing at the airport in Philly. Great to be back after a year away! The chili is absolutely wonderful. Also had their fantastic roast beef sandwich and cherry chocolate chip ice cream. But that chili is so amazing. The staff is super sweet. Ambiance is the quintessential farm feel that you'd expect! We love it!

What they don't tell you is the wait to get to the counter. Excellent food but bring your patience.

First the food is great! The Ice Cream is delightful and the few folks working at Brooms Bloom are pleasant. The issue is and has always been that they lack workers. If you swing in any day at lunch be prepared for a line due to the following of patrons. Weekends are equally challenging and it all starts with their dairy products led by several upon several ice cream flavors. With the amount of business over several years of existence, it's a little baffling that this dairy restaurant hasn't adjusted.

Caramel Macchiato

Rice pudding The pieces of rice in it was a nice touch, definitely had the vanilla pudding flavor down. Sadly, it was missing the raisins. Caramel Macchiato The ratio of coffee to caramel was spot on, both complimented themselves and neither overpowered the other. The ice cream was thick and creamy. Staff I was pleased when the cashier offered me a sample, then washed her hands before retrieving the sample. Excellent job! If only all places had such good hand hygiene. Everyone was nice and welcoming. The QA was also top notch. The young man scooping noticed the flavor was not as firm, and went to the freezer to pull out a colder box letting the other time to harden. Well done, to ensure the quality of the purchase. I loved that the tiny cup was called a "mini moo". Solid choice on the sturdy plastic spoon that is strong and doesn't break with the thickness of the ice cream. I get the hype of this place. So far it is the best Creamery in the northern parts of Maryland. #CynBitesThisFeedsMySoulStatus

I have never been to broom's Bloom Dairy before . I wanted to bring home soup and sandwiches for lunch . I checked out the menu on the counter and it had no prices . The clerk at the counter said that she would go over the prices with me . She did not . $ 50 dollars for the food and a small box of donuts . The food was very good and I will go back again ! That being said I do think that prices should always be clearly marked in any restaurant . It is the right thing to do .

Cream of Crab Soup with Oyster Crackers

FOOD Limited selections, but everything sold is good quality. Love the ice cream flavours, and love the soups. I'll have to try the sandwiches. SERVICE This place is almost always busy after Spring and for good reason. But the service is still good. It's not that they're slow but that they're extremely busy, and it shows. There was a girl with dolphin earrings who took my order recently and she was very friendly. AMBIANCE Busy cute-rustic aesthetic. Bustling. It's a very cute spot, with space indoors and out to sit. The farm has events at times, like book readings. There are lots of little things you can get, from pretzels to soaps and cheeses. Well light by sunlight. Cute ice cream light-sign on the building that you can see from far, passing on the road. 10/10, really liked it every time. Would love to see a cookie dough flavour here someday if possible though.

Outside Brooms

Brooms ice cream has some of the freshest ice cream that I've experienced. Their flavors are innovative and change a couple of times a month as well as seasonal. With all their choices I always find myself gravitating to their vanilla ice cream. In previous trips I've had their Irish cream and Rum raisin flavors. Their product is consistent and their portion sizes are very fulfilling. All of this and a great vista to take in while enjoying your dessert.

Vanilla Cinnamon Honey & Maraschino Cherry Chip with a fabulous view!

I've been dying to try Broom's Bloom Dairy for years now, but never found myself in the area. Everyone I know raves about the food and the ice cream, so what's there not to love? Unfortunately we weren't hungry, so we only got to try their ice cream. We got the Maraschino Cherry Chip and the Cinnamon Honey Vanilla. We loved the Cinnamon Honey Vanilla, it was light, not overly sweet, and simple. But we weren't fans the Maraschino Cherry Chip at all. It tasted super artificial and was too sweet for us both. The ice cream is more icy than creamy than I typically go for, but still delicious. We love to support local business! Everyone working there was super kind and welcoming, and they were pretty packed for a Friday afternoon. Can't wait to go again in the future and hopefully try their food next time! A Bel Air gem for sure.

Cream of crab/Maryland crab with a biscuit on the side
Mary Z.

I brought my cousin from Oklahoma here so she could try some Harford County delights, and she loved it! Order-at-the-counter service was friendly and efficient, and there were just enough tables that no one had to wait for one on a busy Friday at lunch time. The mix of Cream of Crab soup with Maryland Crab soup was perfect, with just enough Old Bay and a ton of crab. We each got a bowl of it with a biscuit on the side, and the biscuits were obviously homemade. My cousin also ordered apple cider (local from Lohr's farm) and loved it, too. They have a variety of meats, ice cream and cheeses, all from their farm. We were stuffed, but couldn't leave without buying some ice cream to take home. We recommend the Andes Mint! It was rich, smooth, creamy, minty and absolutely perfect.

I don't get out here enough but it was a hot "Ice Cream required" day. Arrived around 2 on a Wednesday and it was quite. This was a switch as I usually visit during the weekend and it can get quite busy. We usually get Ice Cream but have tried the Grilled cheese (added bacon) and it was excellent. You can't go wrong with the Cream of Crab & Mac and Cheese for sides. They have a few combos that are perfect for lunch/dinner. Ice Cream flavors are rotated. I ordered a Chocolate and Mocha Chip. Always rich and decadent! I should venture out and try the different flavors as they have some interesting ones (I.e Graham Cracker Cake Batter, Blueberry Pomegranate, Caramel Cashew) They also have a good list of items that are sourced locally. Meats, cheese, milk, honey, produce etc. A good size space and great to eat outside especially on a nice day. They've been recognized as best Ice Cream in Harford County multiple years and Zagat rated to name a few. The definition of farm to table (or better yet farm to farm.) Don't miss this local gem & favorite!

I've had better edamame though because it lacked flavor. A huge shoutout to Bret behind the bar for providing top-tier service. Attentive, personable, knowledgeable, and just genuinely great energy. Between the amazing food, craft cocktails, and outstanding service, this place absolutely lives up to the hype. Easily one of the best dining experiences in Harford County and definitely a spot worth coming back to. Highly recommend!

Decided to have a little "celebration" for a successful year end at our business. The good - attentive service. Called ahead and they held a table for 15 min until we arrived. Friday and it was packed. Cocktails good. Food, I've got some concerns. Appetizers - ordered cheesesteak eggrolls and octopus. Eggrolls were excellent. Octopus thought, I'm used to the presentation at Bacco's so I could do without it being cut into tiny pieces and buried in sauce. Salad - shared the kale salad. Great flavor but the ( wife's pet peeve when I serve it ), the kale was in very large chunks, could use a bit more chopping. Main Course - wife had stroganoff and I had the NY strip. I don't know what it is about Harford County but it's the last time I'll try to get a proper NY strip here. I should have known when it was only $52 on the menu. Steak & Main advertises "best steaks around" and serves the same 1/2" thin cut slice that looks like it came from Ponderosa but they charge $65 which is a ripoff. I like my steak rare and with a steak this thin, it's impossible but at least they were close. Again, stuff all over the top of the meat, a bit too much. Stroganoff - solid!! Dessert- Bananas Foster / solid!! My only gripe is the steak. We will be back for sure but I'm done trying to get one out and will just continue getting a nice cut from a butcher and treating myself at home.

We had a great time. Dana and her mom are AMAZING. They are fun and attentive and encouraging. Dana does a great job of teaching how to make staircases out of cheese, and salami flowers. At this point I feel like most of us have gone to Aldi and bought all the ingredients to make a decent charcuterie board, but you will totally learn how to take your boards to the next level, by paying attention to color and where the product was made, with one of these classes. The space is great, too. You can also get wine and sandwiches and cheeses, etc in the store - because it's important to know your ingredients before you introduce them to others. Two spacious, gender neutral bathrooms made me ever-so-happy. More than enough room to fit my entire chair into the space, including my careperson. Love this. Go check them out.

Service is good and they are very attentive. Our water glasses were never empty. Server very well acquainted with the menu and they even have specials off the menu. Menu doesn't have tons of choices, but makes sense when everything is prepared fresh and what is on the menu is done extremely well. First, drinks... yum! They have a terrific happy hour deal. That is worth a visit on its own. It's pretty spectacular and the drinks are great. The good news is you can get the HH without sitting at the bar. We had an Old Fashion, a Lemon Raspberry Martini, a Lemon Drop martini, a Sidecar, and a Carajillo. All were well made and delicious. The Carajillo was amazing - better than an espresso martini!! The food was wonderful. First course was the Baked Avocado, Cream of Crab soup, and the mussels which weren't on the regular menu as they were a special. The Avocado was fabulous and not too heavy. The mussels were in a delicious broth. Cream of crab was good but not worth the $21 a bowl (just average as you would get anywhere else). Second course was Filet Mignon, Shrimp and Crab, and House Made Pork Sausage Pappardelle. All were delicious and served with sides that elevated the flavors. The filet is a fav! The portions were a great dinner size and not overwhelmingly huge. We skipped dessert, but they were all great choices. We had previously had their s'mores which is a must try! They do have good coffee as well. Great location, intimate setting, nice people and a wonderful place to visit for a wonderful meal. Worth visiting. Be prepared as they are pricey (over $300 for 4 people). It's odd because their Happy Hour is just such a steal for the craft cocktails available (I guess gets you in the door). Perhaps sit at the bar for HH and just get drinks for a reasonable option. Maybe throw in a charcuterie board to snack on while enjoying the libations. For sure will be back.

I ordered the peartini, which was good but didn't have strong pear flavor. They brought out bread with our starters (3 pieces for 2 people - I never understand that!) which was tasty and my salad course was delicious. My husband really liked his soup too! For our entrees, he got the filet mignon which he said was excellent, but my shrimp and crab with gnocchi dish was disappointing. I think the sauce broke so it was swimming in oil. I tried to eat the pieces off the top and the shrimp were huge and gnocchi very soft and flavorful, but I couldn't get over the amount of oil. For dessert, he got the crème brûlée which he enjoyed and I got the s'mores. Mine was good, but the chocolate was very thick and heavy. I was hoping for a lighter mousse to end my meal instead. Overall we had a nice time and enjoyed our date night out, but I think the food is a bit inconsistent.
