Got the O.G. Burger and Mac and Cheese. Both were excellent. Looking for a great burger, this is your place

Flavor bomb

Hidden gem in Hanover. Had lunch there and it was amazing. A lot of flavor and seasoned well. Seafood fries were 10/10. Triple cheese steak was a combo of flavor goodness.

I wish they were open more. I spotted this place and the friendly couple working there were very inviting. I went here multiple times while I was staying in town. I didn't make it to the sandwich selections but got various rice bowls. I got the jerk salmon with shrimp and the jerk chicken with shrimp and whichever protein you get sits atop the yellow rice, drizzled with their inhouse sauce. I enjoyed the meal and even would buy an extra one so I could have it the next day if they happened to be closed. I recommended checking them out when in Hanover, PA. You can also order online from their website if you don't have time to wait. The food is made to order.

Bay then Ape Burger

Went there with a buddy of mine, ordered the bay then ape. It was amazing, some of the best food i have ever had. I made an account just to review this place. Worth a try for sure.

My sons plain cheeseburger

Consistently good burgers and steak subs. They even have boardwalk style fries. (Available with old bay if you like) My 3 hang ups, Only open a few days of week Must wear a mask My shortest wait for order was over 20 minutes.

Farm Animal & old bay macaroni salad

I'm so grateful they were added to doordash. We've ordered them a handful of times. My girlfriend says they have the best cheesesteak she's ever had (it's pretty damn good, I had a bite. And I lived in South Philly for a bit.) She also likes the asparagus. I love the farm animal. It's delicious and enough of a breakfast sandwich while still being a burger. Perfect combo.

I've been coming to all the Famous locations since I was a little kid. Tons of great memories…read moregetting some dogs with my dad. Now I get to enjoy these dogs and make new memories with my daughter. This was the first time I brought her out to this location. She's a plain Jane and just gets a bacon and cheese dog with fries. I normally go with the two dog special, one with chili and onions and one without. The whole onion on each dog is just too much for me. So this way I scrape half off right onto the other dog. I will always be a fan and come back as long as they are around.

It was a rainy afternoon, bordering on the evening, and we were returning back to Hanover after a…read moretrip halfway across the state. We knew that going home was going to result in TV dinners coming out of the freezer, so we opted to try something new in town (for us). We figured that a hot dog place that has been around for over a hundred years would be a good bet. We were wrong. Pulling up to the place, it met our expectations... building that has been around for a couple of decades, lots of glass windows to see out of, etc. I know we weren't at the original downtown location, but this one had been there for decades and we figured it used the original recipe that made it so famous, so we would be good to go. Walking inside, we were met with... well, low-key chaos is a reasonable word for what we saw. One of the wait staff said we could sit anywhere, but that proved to be a bit of a challenge as most of the tables were filthy, covered in onion debris and other condiments. The floor, of course, was also covered in the same debris. We would soon find out why. After having found (and wiped down to remove some of the filth) a table, our wait staff came up and provided us with menus. The menu isn't all that big, so it didn't take long to figure out what we hoped would be a good meal. My mother went for a simple hot wiener with the onions and chili sauce (no mustard, we knew it was going to be yellow mustard), and I went with the wiener special, one hotdog and one burger. We didn't have to wait that long for the food to come out. It was when the food arrived at our table that we finally understood exactly why the tables and floor were such a disaster. I am quite sure I have never seen that much diced onion placed on a single hotdog. Both of our plates were simply smothered in the onions and chili sauce that comes with these things, to the point where we couldn't really see the bun or hotdog underneath it all. It was definitely a fork and knife kind of meal, because picking something like this up in your hands was an invitation to disaster and the primary motivator for all of the onions on the floor. So I cut a bit out of the mound... found a bit of hotdog and bun, and tasted it. This is where the sadness and despair truly set in. The bun was just a soggy white bread bun that you can get an 8 pack of for 99 cents at Walmart. OK, I can go with that, part of the charm and all, except it was buried underneath all that onion and chili and it really was just a complete soggy mess by the time it got to our table. I could have let that pass... if it weren't for the hotdog itself. I don't know where they get their hotdogs, but they need to change suppliers, and fast. The casing for these hotdogs was hard and rubbery, not from overcooking, just from their production method in the first place. Once I got through the casing, the meat contained within was some of the most flavorless meat I have ever had in any sort of sausage. I would eat a vegetarian hotdog over this any day. The onions were just too much... perhaps if they had been cooked through instead of placed on there raw they would have been nice, but as it was it was just not a good thing. Combine that with a chili sauce that also had next to no flavor, and I was not in happy town at all. So... combine a place that is filthy with food that is flavorless and has the texture of a bouncy rubber ball, and I'm sorry but one star is all you are going to get. I almost never write one-star reviews, and I don't give that rating lightly. This is not to say that the staff were bad, however. They were pleasant, took care of our orders, and handled us just fine. I did wonder how the breakfast at this place would be, but after experiencing the dinner fare, there is little chance of my returning to try the breakfast.

This is our 2nd visit in 3 days, we absolutely love the Italian Sub & Ham and Cheese Sub. The Sub Roll is perfect (They make their breads fresh daily here) ! The meats and cheeses along with a nice selection of toppings are all so very fresh and flavorful ! We can't wait to try some of their Paninis and Breakfast Sandwiches . They look amazing ! The menu offers a very nice selection of sandwiches and salad's .... The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and seem to really have a passion for their job . Service is outstanding, they make your selections fresh The interior is very welcoming and spotless, they do have a very heartwarming board on a side wall that folks and local business has pre-paid for food for those in need, awesome ! Inside the shop you can sit in between Five Loaves and Deja Brew Coffee Shop & Bakery. It's a must stop on the Bakery side, so many amazing pastries, cake, muffins and the list goes on We highly recommend supporting this small business

Today's was one star, bread was so burnt I thought I'd gotten the wrong bread when I unwrapped it. Looks NOTHING like their usual sub rolls. Was also weird plastic thin strips in it. Was a sad sandwich and took a long time to make. Seems like today was not their day. It'll be a while before I try again. Was over 15$ for sandwich chips and drink where sandwich was hard to eat just tasted like burnt dry bread.

We got two different kinds of pizzas, mozzarella sticks and wings. Everything was delicious and hot and the people serving it at the counter was friendly and fast. I didn't get any desserts this time, but the dessert case look like they had some pretty tasty desserts. I have heard that their cannolis are to die for! Also, there was seating inside, so if you wanted to get a pizza and eat inside, this is a place to go.

Jerry & Sal's are no longer located in the mall as the mall is condemned…read more They are now located where Schultz's Deli used to be on the corner across from the Utz Outlet. You can't miss their location with plenty of parking and their digital sign. When you walk in the entrance of the restaurant on the right hand side is a table with a bunch of different photos over the years that almost pay a tribute to the owner and co-owner and family and it really gives you a good perspective as to how they started in business. On the left side of the wall, there is a copy of an old newspaper article which was very interesting to read and a few other photos. 5-Stars is given for how well maintained & clean the inside of the restaurant is and the abundant seating for guests. 5-Stars is also given for presentation of the various pizza they offer in the glass cases as well as a few other items and they also have a glass case featuring what looks to be different types of dinners. Now onto the customer service experience, if I could give 10-Stars instead of 5-Stars I would in a second. When I went up to the counter, there was a young lady who cheerfully greeted me and asked if I had any questions and what I would like to order, I did have a few questions and she was able to give me an answer immediately, and that was extremely helpful and as I sat waiting for my pizza to be finished, I've seen other staff members interact with customers in a very friendly, welcoming and professional manner and let's just say you don't see that too often these days so whatever they're doing there for customer service they're doing it the right way and I applaud them for that. Now let's visit the pizza..... I ordered a large square pizza with extra cheese, pepperoni and mushroom and also one slice of their normal round pizza without any toppings. I am really trying to find a silver lining in the square pizza, but I'm having a hard time and the reason why is the pizza seemed somewhat undercooked regarding the crust in the dough, when we took a few slices out and started to eat them. The base of the dough was finished. It had a real slight browning to it, which is a good sign, and the dough had somewhat of arise in it, but there was a layer in there that it just did not look cooked, and the toppings were on the money and the crust had a crunch to it, which is nice. The sauce or the marinated mushrooms something had somewhat of a spicy bite to it, and I understand that every pizza shop makes their sauce differently and that could be attributed to the past on recipe for many many years ago. But each slice felt sloppy it felt weak and soggy. If that's the words to use for it it wasn't a piece that you would pick up and it would be solid. These pieces drooped over immediately. So this is where I have to give it 3.5-Stars. And onto the slice of pizza, which was plain cheese pizza it seemed OK but it just was not there. Would we go back and try some other food there? Definitely, we will definitely go back and try one of their subs and possibly one of their specialty salads and as far as the pizza goes unfortunately I'm not a fan.
