Dear Cheesesteak Gods, please forgive me for never trying their food here as this was my first time after several years of Johnny's bring opened. I decided to jump online and place an online order and run over and pick it up because we live just a few minutes away and my selection was the crinkle cut french fries and a large cheesesteak with lettuce, tomato, mayo, and fried onions along with extra provolone. Just got home and just finished half of the sub and it is an absolute beast. The sub roll was so soft and so fresh which really put the icing on a cake or shall I say the icing on a cheesesteak as you can see in a pictures they definitely load you up with freshly chopped up steak and it was seasoned perfectly along with fresh tomatoes, lettuce, and perfectly grilled onion mixed in with the meat. I have to be honest and say this is one of the better cheesesteaks I've had in my lifetime and trust me I've eaten a lot of cheesesteaks all over the United States. The crinkle cut fries were fresh very hot when I got them home and absolutely have that little crunch in the inside was perfect. I know it's french fries but places do screw up but not Johnny's. This was really good french fries. They were fairly busy with phone orders coming in and people coming in to pick up pizza and they were busy and I can see why and I think out of all honesty you've earned our future business as a go to place and on our next visit we are going to try one of your pizzas. The inside has a few tables and counter seating and it's really tastefully decorated, I really enjoyed the decor. Service was on the money, friendly gentleman cashed me out and brought my food whenever it was ready no complaints there either. So the bottom line is I do highly recommend giving Johnny's a try. They do have a very nice menu of all different food selections and I don't really don't think you can go wrong and the prices are very reasonable. read more

On our way back from an event in Abbotstown and we wanted something for a late lunch. Johnny's got good reviews and was on the way. It is a small shop with maybe half a dozen tables and a counter. Decorated with various license plates, automotive items and some 50s memorabilia. The woman at the counter was very nice as was the staff who we encountered as the food was delivered and as we were leaving. My friends ordered cheese steaks, I ordered a lunch special, sausage and pepper sub with fries. When the first cheese steak came out we all went wow, they were huge! Not expected. My 1/2 sub was as big as a normal one and it was accompanied by a nice portion of old school krinkle cut fries. The sub was to hot to pick up, baked in the over so I started on the fries. Crisp, perfectly cooked and delicious. Didn't need catchup they were so good. The sandwich roll cooled down enough to eat and it was excellent. Plenty of nice sausage, peppers and onions. It was great, very tasty. This was a nice find for us. The experience was great, food was great and pricing was very reasonable. I suggest visiting Johnny's if you are in New Oxford. read more

Upon ordering a pizza last night. I've left this review in their Facebook page; While I offer you safe travels and a great vacation, I have to say how disappointed we were yesterday. Last night I was super busy and decided to order the Jersey pizza. Which my husband loves. When we moved to the area, we were super excited to see that you delivered to McSherrystown. I'm an elite yelper and gave Johnny's a 5 star rating. Our pizza arrived and your delivery driver was mad about having to "drive so far". Perhaps she's not familiar with your delivery radius? The pizza itself tasted reheated. It was tough and not good at all. We've obviously had food delivered numerous times and never had this problem. We obviously could go to Brothers, but chose to come here. Hopefully, it was a bad night. I can chalk the pizza issue up to that. However, there's NEVER an excuse for poor customer service. If the driver doesn't like driving or the distance that's been established by their employer then maybe it's time to find a new job. We ordered often from this place . It is a large group order. I often call it in. Today and has far as I know all of our orders have been correct. We order a nice selection of things . I never hear any complaints on flavor. I have already stop her on my way home. The service is friendly and easy to understand. I do recommend this place. read more

We just moved into our new home nearby. This was the very first meal we had while dining in at our new home. My wife and I split a small pepperoni pizza, and each tried something else that we thought we would enjoy, just in case we didn'tlike the pizza. I had a really delicious small cheeseburger sub, and my wife had a small turkey sub. Either of those would have been enough to fill us up. They were both really good. I don't know if it was the hunger talking, but my wife said it was the best turkey sub she'd ever had, anywhere. That's high accolades if I do say so myself. There was a hiccup when ordering online but after waiting a long while, I called and it got sorted out. The lady who answered must have delivered it herself as she was very apologetic both on the phone and in person. Next time I know to just call in the order. And believe me, if the food is constantly as good as our first time trying it, we will be frequent repeat customers. read more

Perfect Jersey pizza just outside of Gettysburg! Friendly staff and *excellent* pizza. My kids got the "best cheeseburger pizza ever" (their expert review, having tried cheeseburger pizzas at several places) and my husband and I had a meat lovers pie - generous, tasty toppings! We dined in (at the end of a day trip from Annapolis, MD) and it has a cool retro vibe inside. Will definitely go back next time we are in Gettysburg/Hanover! read more

The Stromboli was very good. The Pizza the crust had a great texture and crisp but was really salty so not my favorite pizza crust and it's what makes a pizza right?. Hopefully they can re write the dough recipe. The toppings were really good and a very nice amount on top. This made the pizza unique! The French Fries were good average crinkle cut. A little pricey for the amount and enough for one person. The Ruben has a really nice mixture of meat and cheese. I do believe it could use a little more thousand island dressing. Johnny and Rudes has been a nice addition to the New Oxford pizza options. They offer some very tasty pizza's as well as subs. They offer something no one else does, delivery. Their delivery can be hit or miss for speedy, but with the country's currently staffing issues, its expected and tolerable. Johnny and Rude's is a nice addition to our area. They have a wonderful menu with Something for everyone. Very friendly service and lots of integrity. When they get too busy and their is standing room only, they'll tell you we can't take any more orders. This small business would rather not serve anyone if they have to slack on customer service. They believe in quality not quantity. That speaks volumes about their focus on their customers. Very pleased with their service and was very pleased with their food. Best pizza I have had in a long time in this area. Also got a cheese steak sub and it was massive. On another order we got the Big Mac Pizza and it tasted, I swear to God, just like a big Mac. It was perfectly made with pickles spaced evenly and then topped with sesame seeds, like on the bun... Outstanding food and great prices. Some nearby places with food that is smaller and not as tasty is double the price. This is worth the drive from Hanover and if you're in the New Oxford area there is no excuse to go anywhere else. read more

Since they deleted their bad reviews on Facebook I'll blast them on here, called in to order my food I was told an hour wait, thought ok place must be amazing for a line like that, got my food it was sitting for a long time, every thing was dried out and the pizza was burned on the bottom from sitting on top the hot stove so long or over cooked, I was willing to give it another shot but since they deleted my honest review I won't be trying it again read more

This is the best place in Hanover pa. The staff makes you feel like family and the food well the only thing I can say is this might be made from an angel straight out of heaven itself. In fact I kept looking around for Jesus to come from around the counter. Never ever change you will need to expand the building because this is just that darn good. When they first opened, the tomato pie was amazing- almost as close to Mack n Manco in OC, NJ (my home). Little by little, over time, it got worse to the point of the 2 we ordered tonight that were under-cooked/raw dough and way to much crust. The pizzas were disgusting. Never going back. They, most likely, did it on purpose as when we called to order we had complained about the last time when our pizzas were half crust. Guess their dirty jerz came out! Hahaha...
