a half eaten pizza

Perfect Jersey pizza just outside of Gettysburg! Friendly staff and *excellent* pizza. My kids got the "best cheeseburger pizza ever" (their expert review, having tried cheeseburger pizzas at several places) and my husband and I had a meat lovers pie - generous, tasty toppings! We dined in (at the end of a day trip from Annapolis, MD) and it has a cool retro vibe inside. Will definitely go back next time we are in Gettysburg/Hanover!

The Stromboli was very good. The Pizza the crust had a great texture and crisp but was really salty so not my favorite pizza crust and it's what makes a pizza right?. Hopefully they can re write the dough recipe. The toppings were really good and a very nice amount on top. This made the pizza unique! The French Fries were good average crinkle cut. A little pricey for the amount and enough for one person. The Ruben has a really nice mixture of meat and cheese. I do believe it could use a little more thousand island dressing. It was a good price. Ready to try their other items!

While the staff was friendly, pizza was of poor quality, anti pasta salad was not very good, especially for the price.

It is with pleasure and honor as a Yelp Elite to add Five Loaves Sandwich Shop to Yelp…read more We are so glad we stopped here, what an awesome little sandwich shop located right in New Oxford Square, connected to Deja Brew. This is our 2nd visit in 3 days, we absolutely love the Italian Sub & Ham and Cheese Sub. The Sub Roll is perfect (They make their breads fresh daily here) ! The meats and cheeses along with a nice selection of toppings are all so very fresh and flavorful ! We can't wait to try some of their Paninis and Breakfast Sandwiches . They look amazing ! The menu offers a very nice selection of sandwiches and salad's .... The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and seem to really have a passion for their job . Service is outstanding, they make your selections fresh The interior is very welcoming and spotless, they do have a very heartwarming board on a side wall that folks and local business has pre-paid for food for those in need, awesome ! Inside the shop you can sit in between Five Loaves and Deja Brew Coffee Shop & Bakery. It's a must stop on the Bakery side, so many amazing pastries, cake, muffins and the list goes on We highly recommend supporting this small business

I've been here a handful of times. First three were awesome, great sandwiches, five stars. More…read morerecently last one was out of rolls so four stars but sandwich was still good. Today's was one star, bread was so burnt I thought I'd gotten the wrong bread when I unwrapped it. Looks NOTHING like their usual sub rolls. Was also weird plastic thin strips in it. Was a sad sandwich and took a long time to make. Seems like today was not their day. It'll be a while before I try again. Was over 15$ for sandwich chips and drink where sandwich was hard to eat just tasted like burnt dry bread.

We originally planned to eat out on the patio, but the wind that day was very high and it would have been impossible. As it was, later when we did go out on the patio to have a drink, we found ourselves helping out the staff in taking down the umbrella covers so that they wouldn't get completely shredded by the wind. We started off with a mixed drink that my cousin recommended. No idea what it was, but it was somewhat tasty. Not really my kind of thing normally, as I tend to go for whiskey sours (I drink like my grandmother). Looking through the menu, I was tempted by a burger, but then I saw the fish and that it was haddock, and had to go for it. When it came out, I was pleasantly surprised with the dish, and enjoyed it. This is a place where you don't feel like you need to dress up... you can just go, enjoy a nice meal, perhaps hit some balls on the driving range or go for a round of golf, and just enjoy your time instead of having to play froo-froo games with high society clowns.

I had lunch at Warehouse Gourmet Bistro & Brewpub and overall enjoyed the food and beer, though…read morethere were a few things that kept the experience from being better. We sat upstairs in the brewpub area. We would have preferred a regular table, but it seemed like they really wanted to seat us at a high-top. I didn't feel like pushing back, so we took it. I assumed maybe they were trying to keep the four-top regular tables open, but by the time we left, the high-tops were full and the regular tables were still empty. Maybe there was a reason for it, but it made the seating feel a little odd. For food, I split the meatball appetizer and the tarragon chicken salad sandwich with another person. Both were good. The meatballs were golf-ball sized and served in a small skillet of marinara with two slices of bread. No complaints on taste or quality. The sandwich was also solid and about what I expected from the menu. That said, the pricing felt a little high for what we got. The sandwich was $14 and did not include a side, and the four-meatball appetizer was also $14. Again, the food was good, but it was definitely on the pricier side. I also had the cream ale and the blonde ale. I don't remember the exact prices, but they seemed in line with the styles and I enjoyed both. My biggest complaint was the 3.99% credit card surcharge. That seems steep, especially at a restaurant where lunch can already add up quickly and most people probably aren't carrying enough cash to cover a full meal. To their credit, there was ample signage about the surcharge, so it was not a surprise at checkout. Still, at this price point, adding nearly 4% for using a card left a bad impression. Without the surcharge, this probably would have been a 4-star experience for me. The food and beer were good, and I did not have any real complaint about the quality. But the surcharge, combined with the slightly odd seating experience and higher prices, brings the overall visit down to 3 stars. Overall, I'd consider going back, but the seating experience and credit card surcharge would make me think twice.

I didn't get any drinks, but my friends really enjoyed the beers here. Food was not the best. I personally enjoyed my coconut curry chicken, but my friends weren't impressed with their food, notably the sourdough bread on the sandwiches and the chicken pot pie being particularly unimpressive. If you come, stay clear of the sourdough and pot pie but the beer is good!

Stopped here for lunch on Thursday, December 11…read more Ordered a medium pizza with pepperoni, onions, mushrooms, and green peppers and one diet Coke fountain drink. Pizza was delicious as usual and served within about 10 minutes after we arrived. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. The charge for the meal was $30 plus a cash tip. I think this is a little expensive for a medium pizza and one drink however we can only eat half the pizza at one time, so we took the other half home with us and had it for lunch today and it was still excellent. This of course cuts the cost to about $15 per lunch which makes it very reasonable. Men's bathroom was very clean and neat. Try it you'll like it.

We were greeted by the friendly cashier. We noticed the wonderful aromas coming from the kitchen. I ordered the Italian sub which was "a good choice" and my daughter got the baked ziti. We sat down to wait and my daughter needed a pencil to work on her homework so I asked the gentleman at the cash register. He went out of his way to scrounge one up for my daughter so she could work on her homework while we waited for our food. Shortly thereafter the food came out and we were able to indulge in a wonderful Italian sub and my daughter munched on the lettuce in the salad in the car. She commented how fresh the lettuce was and then when she got home, she devoured the baked ziti which she said was fantastic. We are so glad that we stopped and hopefully we will try and make a tradition of stopping by weekly if possible so glad. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures but the next time we stop by I'm sure I will try.
