We were excited to try out Deliso's gluten free pizza but they were out of all the gluten free crusts. They still had some gluten free options so we opted for subs. The cheese steak was a little below average. The sausage, pepper and onion sub was better. Others in our party had spaghetti and pizza. Overall about a 3.5 star visit. Service was counter service and we wiped down our own table as they hadn't been serviced recently. Haven't dined here for a few years. Decided to revisit one day last week and liked it so much that returned for a second time! The cheese steak deluxe sub is the best, or close to the best, I've had in a long time. Especially enjoyed homemade roll. During the first visit had a pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers, and onions... It was excellent. During the second visit we had the white pizza but deleted the broccoli. Really not my favorite...Because it's made with some ricotta cheese... which I do not enjoy. The only reason I indicated four stars instead of five is because they charge a dollar on their soft drink refills. CHARGING A HIGHER PRICE: First time, and last time for this place because of the fraud/deception. Stopped in travelling through, ordered food, waited for the meal, paid for the meal, back on the road, departed to my room (was a long day) at the food, went to bad. Next day checked the receipt he charged me significantly more than what it cost as per his menu on-line. Many excuses could be said, but I noticed a disgruntled look in his demeanor while he was ringing it up (almost like I'm going to screw this guy out of a couple bucks). Depending on the size, he overcharged me $7 or $2 (I asked for medium size, he could have accidentally made large). But still he could have told me. Stayed in Gettysburg Tuesday night .. many restaurants are closed Monday and Tuesday here at the moment. First place we called was closed also so found this one on Yelp. Ended up being a good choice . Tuesday's special was a Large cheese for 7.99 however we were in the mood for some toppings so opted for the Classic which is like a Supreme. Toppings were fresh and delicious. Right amount of cheese and crust was crispy. I prefer a bit sweeter sauce but that's just a personal preference . This little gem is an out of the way pizza and sandwich joint. It's not impressive inside or out but if you're in this neck of the woods and want a good steak sandwich it's worth the short drive out of the city center. We went for the pizza as most reviews rave about it but the pizza is average and not cooked in a classic stone pizza oven so it can't be amazing. Fairly quick, nice staff. It reminds me of a gas station when you go in, definitely family run. A five star to me means you drive out of your way to eat here, a four star means you definitely go if you're a local a three star is if you want a good average meal and your near by you should good. Wanted subs, and seemingly had limited choices in town. I actually liked my cheesesteak. If just for that, I give it three stars. Guessing it was prepackaged cooked meat, sautéed with fresh mushrooms (by request), but it was tasty and of good size. The bread was also good. Husband had the Deliso Special (ham, salami and capicola). I expected better meat. It was like the bad cold cuts in the refrigerated section of my grocery store. It was just sort of a sad sandwich for a place that specializes in a big list of Italian subs. He said a Subway Italian is better, and he's not a huge Subway fan. Service was okay. In summary, take the number of stars in my review with a grain of salt, as it's expectation and menu item dependent. Try a hot sub if you have a sandwich craving here and you'll probably find it good. read more

This is one of our favorite pizza places in Gettysburg! With other options closer we would drive across town to go here specifically. It is now BYOB. We usually stick to pizza, but their sides are great too! Every year I always buy lunch/dinner for my staff over Black Friday (an order of about 12 pizzas and numerous apps) and it's always cooked so quickly and not a long wait. We love it here! read more

We came here because of all of the great gluten free reviews, and found them to be right on! (I only gave it four stars because the crust was underdone on our pizza.) We ordered a side of the gluten free bread, as well as the GF crust for our pizza. The bread was light and delicious, not dry like so many other GF breads I've tried. Also, I have a dairy sensitivity, and the chef remembered when she brought my bread and brought extra sauce for dipping - so kind! The great pizza places normally look rundown... very old booths... counter to order at that's right in front of the oven, and Deliso's is just that! I am GF and heard about this place from someone else. I live in Westminster and decided to come out with my mom (who isn't GF) for lunch here. It was excellent. I have tried many different kinds of GF pizza and this is certainly the best. My mom even enjoyed it. The fries were also very good. We got buffalo chicken pizza and she even checked for us if the buffalo sauce had gluten in it. It's prepared on surfaces where they only use GF flour. (I think the owner has Celiacs). They also have spaghetti, ziti, lasagna, ravioli, bread, and subs that are GF. I can't imagine not getting pizza when I go back, but I want to try it all someday! Definitely will return. read more

Really wanted a cheesesteak, usually I go to Hunt's downtown, but saw good reviews about their cheesesteaks so gave it a try. Definitely was not disappointed, not blown away, but pretty good. I got their Cheesesteak Supreme, it was the perfect size and tasted really good, the main thing that set theirs apart from others was their homemade roll. I'll definitely be back, I never had pizza from there, so really want to try it out. Only negative thing this visit, was their mozzarella sticks were cold in the center (I don't live that far from the place, so couldn't have gotten that cold that quick), but nothing a quick pop in the oven didn't fix. read more

My regular Italian sub and my wife's bacon cheeseburger sub on gluten-free bread were good, but priced surprisingly high for a no-frills sandwich shop in a random location. Not having prices listed on the ordering board or menu led to sticker shock when we got the bill. They definitely should have prices listed. Saw the rating on Yelp looking for the best pizza in town. We generally eat at Tommys but they use eggs and our son has an allergy. Upon our arrival, this place looks like a typical pizzeria with laminate booths and a tv in the corner. The service was matter of fact but with a taste of Italian charm. We ordered a large....half pepperoni half sausage, onion, and mushroom. The sauce is the closest to real Italian sauce since I had pizza in Naples, Italy. The flavor actually grew with each bite.
