Pizza was delicious and service was very attentive and polite. If you're drinking, stick to beer or wine - the cocktails are not anything to rave over.

Come for the free arcade games, and while you're here, grab some food and drinks! This place is massive--easily able to seat groups of 100+--so our family of 21 fit with no problem. The highlight for us was that the kids could enjoy the free arcade games and burn off some energy after a full day of historic tours. They had basketball shooting games (though many balls were a bit deflated), two large shuffleboards, a pool table, four working skee-ball lanes (and one out of order), plus a semi-working air hockey table that just needed a puck. Our server was friendly, but service was very slow. It took 15 minutes just to get our drink orders, and we waited 45 minutes before the first item of our food arrived. We know large groups take more time, but simple steps--like giving everyone water right away--would make a big difference. As for the food, opinions were mixed. Some in our group enjoyed the pizza. I found the "Light & Bright" salad to be exactly as described, and I loved the pine nuts and blueberries. The meat pizza was only slightly better than a $2 Sam's Club slice, while the pepperoni pizza was much better, with tasty dollops of ricotta. Overall, it's a fun spot for groups, especially with kids--just don't be in a hurry.

My daughter and I like to find non pizza chain restaurants and this #68. We ordered drinks, the pepperoni, mozzerella cheese sticks and these mac n cheese stuff balls. The appetizers were good. The pizza (the pepperoni) was just average. The sauce was not spicy barely any taste and the cheese seemed off. The waitress seemed distracted and not really interested until we asked for the bill.

Ok wicked good pizza!! Wicked good pizza !!!! We loved the atmosphere and the openness of the restaurant. The crust is to die for. The wine selection was very good. I'd like a bigger pour but who doesn't? I would recommend this place for couples, families and parties Ask for Kayla!! She's awesome!

As a family we loved this restaurant. It is opened to outdoors but the temperature was still cool because of the big fans. We went in hungry and ordered a few appetizers, pizza, beef brisket and a burger. The brisket was on the fatty side but was juicy. The wings were nice and crispy. The pizza was great. My son and I were playing shuffleboard incorrectly while awaiting our food and the manager Jacob came and introduced himself and actually showed us how to play. My son loved the restaurant and wanted to eat there the next day as well and told me I better mention Jacob in my review. Jacob also hand delivered our pizza to us, we were very impressed by him. We had a great experience and would recommend.

We were very disappointed with our most recent visit. Our intention was to order food from the ribs place that adjoins the restaurant. That's usually possible but wasn't on the particular night we went. Apparently the ribs staff was working with a group of trivia players. I ordered wings & only ate a few of them. They had way too much heavy sauce on them for my taste. That sauce was also too spicy. My husband ordered pepperoni pizza & it was dull dull dull. At the very least it needed more pepperoni. Service was also way too slow.

Best restaurant in Gettysburg for bringing kids and/or watching sports and having fun with friends. Multiple large screen tvs and large bar area seating plus pool tables, skeeball machines, basketball hoops, and air hockey. Pizza is made from the wood-fired ovens in the center of the restaurant, plus its connected to Borough BBQ and Lulu's Ice Cream so you can get a large variety of food items. White pizza and hummus/labneh duo appetizer were delicious!

Best pizza! We have tried four different pizzas and love them all! Place some free air hockey or skee-ball while you're there!

HUGE place right in downtown Gettysburg that is technically 2: wood fired pizza and BBQ. We tried the smoked chicken pizza and it was phenomenal! While we ordered the BBQ sausage there was a miscommunication and when we saw the size of the pizza we opted to just stick with the one order. Despite the mix up service was on point! Wait staff was friendly and chit chatted about the day. Large options for beer, liquor, and mixed drinks as well. Great spot for lunch wandering around the drinking city with a history problem.

Upper crust is huge. They have great food, drinks and fun games in the back. The games are all free. Skeeball, basketball, pool, shuffleboard, and air hockey. Cool spot to grab a drink and play some games with friends. Can order food from bbq place that's connected. Bartenders are very friendly and helpful. Able to serve for both restaurant locations. Bartender Rachel and Cameron are great and busted their butts! The drinks were good: -Blackberry smash- very bright and refreshing. -Pecan old fashioned- lots of club soda. Tastes like tonic. Not much maple or pecan flavor -Honey peach mojito- very refreshing. Slight peach and honey flavor. Not overpowering. Really full body flavor tbh at pairs well with the mint and it's so good -Orange wood old fashioned- ok. Bourbon is too strong so you can't taste the other flavors All from upper crust menu: Mac and cheese balls- like fried risotto. Tons of cheesy flavor. The mustard flavor has a kick. Very crunchy and well friend. Creamy and soft on the inside. Brisket sandwich- good and tender but VERY peppery. Pretty dry and not much flavor other than the pepper. Pepperoni pizza- good flavor. Robust sauce that's not overpowering. Not crispy enough so it was limp and fell apart when eating

    Salad, pizza, wine & beer.

Open cheerful setting...pizza ovens as centerpiece. Friendly servers and very nice beverages...no box wine here.

He said that "You are transported back in time the moment you step into the place." He was not wrong. Though it was late evening, there were still tons of people waiting to get in. We were starving but figured the wait must mean the food was worth it and...it was! We chose first available and were seated at the bar in the corner. It was nice because we didn't wait long to be served and we had I nice view of the entire restaurant. A very rustic place that looked as I would imagine it did in 1863. My friend ordered a Caesar salad, fillet, and a baked potato. The salad came with a freshly baked yeast dinner roll. Fillet was cooked to perfection. I ordered the King's Soup which was French onion soup except with large chunks of tender beef in it. My entree was the Spring House Salad which was mixed greens, apples, walnuts, chipped smoked turkey, with herb dressing and it was divine. The sleeper of the meal was the datenut bread with cream cheese that came with my salad. A dark brown molasses bread with dried fruit and nuts. It was so chocked full of nuts and fruit while the dough was the most moist bread I've ever had. I couldn't eat both pieces after the meal so took it in a to go container. I ate it on the drive home and it was still moist and delicious.

She was busy so she couldn't check on us; if she had, the food may have been better. We each got sandwiches. I asked if a side salad could be substituted for a side and the answer was NO! It was weird, why couldn't I get that? I got the portobello panini. The flavor was ok, the mushroom was pretty touch but if I cut it with a knife it was okay. The BLT was specifically asked for crispy bacon and it was the floppiest, fattest bacon. My bf just pulled it off. Anyway this was not a great experience. The drinks were pretty good so I might go back for just that but not the food.

It is done in a minimalist decor and dim tones which after spending a few hours hiking around in the sun is nicely refreshing. a lunch runs $13-$17 and i had a Reuben and a beer. I'm used to Reubens being fairly tall, this was flat but filling and the flavor was fine. Just off to one side through a door is the hotel bar which looks nice but is so ornate that it stands out awkwardly from the more spartan surroundings. The rest room is a little bit of a hike through the hotel but that was really the only issue I had. The fact it was empty in the middle of the day, with tourists all around, and literally right in the middle of town made me wonder 'what do they know that i don't?' But for my part I had a nice, relaxed lunch in a pleasantly cool and dark location. Would I go there again? Sure.

It's been quite a while since my wife stopped here to dine... probably 5+ years…read more I've noticed that in the 17 years I've been in Gettysburg y this restaurant is #1 still here, and #2 continues a level of food service that both the locals and tourists enjoy. My wife and I both had the shrimp baskets and two soft drinks for lunch. The shrimp baskets were $17 each and the soft drinks $3 each. With tax and tips the total bill came to $50. The shrimp were obviously pre-battered and frozen but they were pretty tasty. The french fries had some kind of a nice crispy coating and were excellent. The coleslaw was pretty tired. The service was cordial and quick. The decor is as I remembered very nice. There is free parking behind this restaurant, but not many people know it is there. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is because I think that the cost of the luncheon was a little more than it should've been for what we received. Had the shrimp been coated with a batter and fried from scratch (instead of being taken out of a frozen bag) I might've been able to award five stars. But... All in all this restaurant continues to hold its "very good to excellent" reputation for food and service over many years. I would die there again and I would recommend it with no reservations.

We were there on a busy Saturday; they were clearly slammed and probably understaffed, and it took a bit over 20 minutes after ordering to get our food. Other than the wait for the kitchen, the service at the table was very good. It felt a bit pricey at about $62 for two with tip. Cheesesteaks were good but on the small side for $17 and $19 (the latter on a gluten‑free bun), and a little light on the Cheese Whiz. That, plus a cider and a Coke, left the overall experience somewhat underwhelming.
