What a disgusting sh¡thole this place has become! Between the moldy sub roll I received and the woman claiming to be the owner/owners daughters (btw this slob should NEVER work with food or the public in general) attitude when I called to inform them of the issue it's definitely a negative 5 from me... She legit claimed it was my fault the sub roll was moldy because it was fine when it left the restaurant, yeah I'm sure I caused mold in the 35 mins total between its delivery, my call and my bringing it back into the store (which I had to do since she called me a liar over the phone) no refund or even offer of replacement (tho after everything I would've turned down any more food from the place) DO BETTER!!! P.S I've been in food service for 20 years managing multiple accounts and if any of my managers acted like this, whether they'd be an employee or even family, it would be unacceptable and they would be fired or at least have their hours docked until they learned how to act with the public and follow food safety guidelines. read more

My husband and I have been eating at Roberto's for years. We have a very good relationship with the waiter. He has always been very pleasant and never got any of our orders wrong. We have ordered take-out but we normally eat-in. I like their Cheese Steak Salad and their Strombolis are delicious. I noted several reviews mentioned the bread/dough as being very good. For a little local place, the pizza was darn good! I visited Roberto's Pizza before a carnival with my family. You seat yourself and a waiter takes your order. The guy was personable and we ordered waters, sodas, a medium pepperoni and my husband also got a small calzone. The food took a little bit but not an overly long wait (I think sitting with little kids has me impatient for any wait, lol). The pizza looked undercooked but I found it was not, it was just right. The pepperoni was tasty and the cheese was particularly good, I commented to my husband that the mozzarella was really flavorful. My husband ate his whole calzone, which is enough for a meal but he also had a slice of pizza and enjoyed it. We plan to order a pizza for pickup again soon. For a very no-frills sit-down pizza experience or pickup I would definitely recommend if you're in the area. read more

My family has been coming here for many years. They make tasty NY style thin crust pizza. Crust is very bendable And the cheese is very rich, soft, mozzarella. Besides their pizza, I really love their fried wings. They don't come doused in sauce, just fried extra crispy and juicy inside. My son used to get Stromboli's from here, but it's been a while. My niece and nephew always want to come to Robertos when they are at our house-for the pizza and plentiful kid's meals. Downside--Their dining room is very small, which means that it can get very crowded very quickly. And my carry-out pizza took 35-40 mins this evening. Still, it's all good. read more

We came in on a Friday night. It was busy but not overly crowded. We ordered a few appetizers, salad and the meat lovers pizza. We were told that the wait was approximately 45 minutes for food, which I was glad was communicated to us early on and we were fine with that. The waiter was busy but attentive. When I first moved to Westminster I ate at Roberto's quite often. But over time even though the food is good I found the staff to be very rude and they feel they don't make any mistakes. The last time that I ate there I ordered food to pick up and bring home I got home my order was wrong I ordered two subs a pizza wing dings and fries I got home my wing dings were not in my order I called to get a replacement they told me I had to pay for them I had the receipt I went back up I showed them the receipt that I paid for them then they said that oh well you got them you're just trying to get free wings from us I would never go back I did not like the way that I was treated. read more

We were recommended to try this place because "they have good bread"... that's about the only thing they had going. I called in my order around 5:30pm on a Wednesday (so it was not minutes before closing or anything like that), and when I came inside to pickup my food, my presence was not acknowledged by any of the maybe 5 teenagers in the kitchen behind the counter. They all looked at me, and carried on discussing plans for later that evening. Eventually the waiter came up and rung up my food... I paid $70 for a large stuffed crust pizza (that had BARELY any cheese in the crust, just some sprinkled mozzarella), a large Stromboli, and 2 cannolis. I love supporting local businesses, and don't mind the high-for-a-pizza-place price ... if the food is good. Unfortunately, I've never seen a greasier pizza in my entire life. I needed nearly half a roll of paper towels to soak up the grease, and it also leaked through the box. There was hardly any sauce at all, and crust was so thin (and soggy) it might as well have been a tortilla. The best part? I called the next day, during the day, to speak nicely with a manager about our first experience ever at Roberto's... she basically dismissed everything I said, but acknowledged the teenagers not paying attention/acknowledging me. She did not offer to "make this better" in ANY sense. No "it might've been an inexperienced cook, usually it's a lot better, I'm sorry you didn't have a good experience, how can we make this right? I don't much care for pizza joints in strip shopping centers but I've always liked Roberto's and for one simple reason: the bread used on the subs and calzones. Not sure what they do or how they do it, but it's simply out of this world. What Subway does consistently wrong (boring and nondescript bread), Roberto's excels at. On the night I visited that also had surprisingly good and crabby Maryland Crab Soup. Roberto's is a small, informal venue and easily can get overrun when it gets busy. We had solid wait service on a Saturday night, but its not clear that this necessarily is the norm. My whole party enjoyed everything they ordered, but if its atmosphere you seek, Roberto's is not your place. But for solid casual, Italian fare MUCH better than (say) Olive Garden, you really cannot go wrong here. read more

The pizza here is top notch! Fresh and ready on time. The staff are friendly and the pizza reminds me of one of my favorite places growing up in New England. My wife and I called in an order for subs because we were running short on time. Once we arrived, we paid and asked if we could eat our carry out order in the restaurant. We were told "no, it's table service only". The restaurant was probably at 25% capacity and their was at least 10 open tables. So we had to eat our dinner on the bleachers at Westminster High School. Very poor customer experience and the business did nothing to try and make it any better. After visiting 4 times now, I have to admit and agree this really is one of the best "hole in the wall" restaurants in the area. Pizza and everything else we have tried is 5 stars, but the location, well it's a hole in the wall... :) My wife and I were pleasantly surprised with the impeccable quality of the pizza we got on our first visit. The pizza was so good we felt we had to try it a few more times to be convinced they really are the real deal. Freshness and quality of ingredients far exceed all expectations for such a poor "hole in the wall" decor. Ownership appears to be a French immigrant couple that are beating out ALL the competition in about a 40 mile radius, ALL the Italian pizza restaurants in the area should take note how a little attention to detail, pride and commitment to quality generate committed clientele that will keep coming back, and spread the word to their friends. I wish the owners the best of luck in finding a better location worthy of them and their product, but if your happy and financially satisfied with the balance you achieve at this location, fine with us, we're hooked. read more

I give Roberto's 5 stars for what it is: a small casual family run joint with the BEST calzones anywhere! Lots of other delicious food as well. I am very picky about my pizza and especially about a truly great calzone, and I have found my perfect calzone at Roberto's. The crust is heavenly - flavorful and perfectly crisped to form a half dome over a generous helping of ricotta and mozzarella, with your choice of toppings (my personal favorite is spinach) and a side of marinara sauce. I try to get two lunches out of it, and it is big enough for that, but sometimes I cannot resist and I devour the whole thing. :-) Their pizza uses the same delicious crust of course, thin and crispy the way I like it. I also enjoy their cheesesteaks, which are served on unusual rolls, almost like flatbread. At first I was taken aback and did not like the idea, but then it won me over. Again, the bread is so tasty! This place is definitely a hole in the wall located in one of the many shopping centers along Route 140. The decor is very outdated and there are just a few tables if you want to sit down and eat and get waiter service. The good thing is that it's clean! The kitchen is too---you can see the whole kitchen from the counter, which I like. I usually come in to pick up carryout so I go straight to the counter in the back where they have a few chairs to sit in while you wait. The subs and pizza are awesome! The make their own bread for the subs and it's soooo good. The calzones are excellent as is the pizza (thin crust and sicilian). The fries and mozzerella sticks are very good too. The prices are reasonable---I think the subs are only $6.99 if I remember correctly and I got a pretty big cheesesteak. I've never tried any of the pasta dishes so I can't comment on those. It's a great place for carry out....too bad they don't deliver. I know it's not the type of place you'd normally notice so if you haven't been, give it a try! It's much better than the Taco Bell and Burger King in that shopping center. read more

Bad service. From out out town and found this place on Yelp. Got a geek pizza and it came with anchovies. When we called we were told that their menu says it comes with anchovies which it does not say on Yelp. Instead of any kind of apology they simply said we should tell Yelp to fix their menus. I said "that's fine. Will just pass along my recommendation to not order from you as well". To which I was told "yeah - that's a good idea ha ha" and then hey hung up. This has got to be one of my favorite "hole-in-the-wall" type restaurants in Maryland. When I went to college in Westminster, I could always count on a solid meal from Roberto's during a night out. It can get crowded on the weekends, but you won't be dissapointed with the pizza. If you are looking for something other than pizza, I recommend the stuffed subs or various Italian dishes. Terrible service. Kicked us out because the person made our order wrong and threw our pizza then proceeded to cuss at us just for asking for a new pizza to be made. Also the lady does not wear her mask when cooking and touching your food and breathes over it heavily. The lady had horrible language and would rather kick a customer out then provide them service. 1/10 DON'T GO HERE THEY SUCK!!! Also, there has been hair in our food before due to no hairnets and hair not being pulled back. No gloves are worn either while making the food. read more

Food was good and hot.. took longer than it should have with only 2 other couples dining . Several employees got their food instead of me getting mine first . Tables all needed cleaning , not sure why they would reserve a table in the dinking area for employees to eat. Gives a bad impression , you don't make money of your employees and it's 1 less table for customers . First trip today to Roberto's pizza. Temporarily working in Westminster for a few weeks and have been trying to find a good pizza/sub place and low and behold this is the place! While I was standing out front looking at the menu, and lady came to go in the door and stated "their food ow wonderful", sold me and in I went. Nothing fancy but I ordered a small tossed salad and 2 slices of pizza and a drink. The pizza slices are huge, had to take 1 home for dinner, and the small salad was in a small container but stuffed full. Finally found a great place and only here for 5 more days. I live for Pizza and Cheese steaks. Roberto's has the most delicious pizza on the east coast. Their cheese steaks have to be ordered with extra cheese, right off the menu they aren't cheesey enough. The Cheesesteak bread is different from your normal Philadelphia Gino's steak sandwich. Thumbs up, and worth the drive if you're in the area. read more

I waited to post this til today because I was in a BAD mood last night after this happened. First I am going to say that I love Roberto's Pizza Westminster, MD. I have been going there for over 10 years. We even had a bday party there this year. So, last night I went to get my nails done at the place next to Roberto's. Afterwards I went next door to order our dinner. I go in, place the order.. I forgot my coupon so I told him I would pay when I came back in to pick it up. I go to run errands in the plaza, and come back 25 minutes later. I pay, and am waiting. 45 MINUTES go by, as I watch family after family come in and get their food. Apparently, they decided to wait to make my food until I paid. Because of them, the groceries that were frozen were melted, the other foods I got for the kids got cold (my daughter got a sub from another place). I am SO angry at Roberto's it is ridiculous. I wanted to share with everyone to make sure they don't repeat this to anyone else and ruin their night. Thanks for reading. read more
