July 2026 update: A second visit to Glyndon Grill was again great but also surprising: What was great: the creamy crab soup, the intrinsic value of the restaurant week lunch package and the service. Everything all of us ate exceeded expectations and also represented a fine value, but the creamy crab soup was truly special. What was surprising: That the restaurant was nearly empty on a summer Tuesday. Yes it was hot out and a weekday. Still, based on the cuisine and experience, they deserve to be packed always. We had made a reservation that in hindsight, we did not need. What else was a little surprising: the staff charitably offered to split our check without even being asked. So often such a request is greeted with sighs or worse. Little things mean a lot! ***** A lunch reservation required on a weekday? Really. At Glyndon Grill, unless you are arriving by say 11:45am, the answer seems to be a resounding yes. By the time we left at 12:30pm, not a speare table was seen. And Glyndon Grill deserves its popularity. What makes a lunch spot (they are open for dinner too) so very popular. Adjacency to the always-popular-and-stellar Santoni's Market cannot hurt, not can the upscale neighborhood, but come for the food and service. I was focused on health-conscious fare, the the menu offered a diversity of intriguing choices. My premixed (with dressings on the side) Cobb Salad was wonderful. I could choose just how much of the mouth-watering fried chicken morsels I did and did not ant to eat, calorically. My tablemate, also watching pounds and inches, got the grilled salmon with broccoli. Neither could have been better. Best of all was our waitress Anne. Ask for her by name. Supreme professionalism dripped from her every word and action. Attentiveness and pleasant without being obtrusive at all. Yes she probably wanted to turn the table (but you could not tell unless you intuited that fact), and we accommodated because her happiness made us happy too. read more

Quick update- we came with our elderly parents and adult kids for Father's Day Brunch. We were in the Sagamore room, which we really like. There was a brunch menu, so they didn't serve all dinner items but the menu was very good with a variety of breakfast and lunch selections. Everything was good! Our waitress was very sweet and patient with our parents, which meant a lot. My mom was gifted a dessert as it was her birthday! Thanks and we will be had. read more

This used to be one of my favorite lunchtime spots, but unfortunately my most recent experience changed my perspective. Our waitress, Sara initially seemed pleasant. However, I had to repeatedly flag her down to place our order and again later to request boxes after our food arrived. During this interaction, her tone also came across as somewhat dismissive and unprofessional when I explained that we were on a time constraint due to a meeting. After paying the bill, I was interrupted as I was leaving and asked whether I had accidentally given her the wrong receipt copy. Once it was confirmed that the receipt was correct, she directly questioned why she had not received a tip and whether she had done something wrong. While I understand that tipping is an important part of the restaurant industry, I personally base tips on the overall quality, attentiveness, and professionalism of the service experience. In this case, I did not feel the service went beyond basic expectations. What made the situation especially unacceptable was then being called "rude" as I was leaving the establishment. Regardless of differing opinions on tipping, I believe those conversations should be handled professionally and privately. We were recommended this restaurant by someone at our hotel and the menu looked great. Unfortunately, the food just didn't live up to the recommendation. Our table ordered the French dip, rack of ribs, and shrimp and grits. The ribs were not good. They were rubbery and almost impossible to cut through. The fries were good. We were traveling through Baltimore on our way from Nashville to Philly, and we met up a local friend at Glyndon Grill based on his recommendation. He got stuck at work, so we ordered an appetizer of the steak skewers and a beer. They have several local craft beers on tap. I asked to try a couple (Italian lager and IPA), but didn't like either of them, so I went with a Stella bottle. They even had the Stella branded glasses to pour the beer into. The appetizer included 5 skewers of tasty chunks of beef. The meat was tender and delicious. It came with a peanut glaze, but we asked for it on the side. When my buddy arrived, we ordered some burgers. My son and my buddy both had the bacon Swiss cheeseburger with mushrooms on a brioche bun. I had a plain burger. All three came with crispy string fries. The burgers were delicious and all three of us finished the whole thing. Anna was very attentive the entire visit. Even though my buddy was 30 mins late, she never rushed us to order or finish our dinner. Highly recommend visiting Glyndon Grille when you're in the Baltimore area. I have ordered takeout from Glyndon Grill 5 times. Twice they forgot to put orders items in the bag. The first time they called and quickly refunded the missing dish. The second time this week I checked the bag and everything appeared to be included, but when I got home the meat part of a dish was missing but hard to see when checked. I called and shared the problem and she said they would refund that dish, but never did. Given the high cost of eating here and they can't get the takeout orders right, not worth the trip and cost. read more

Been coming here for years and it's always been great! We usually dine at the bar and Robin is a delight! One suggestion: Please create a whiskey list. You have a great selection, but it's really annoying to have to peruse your inventory by looking over the shoulders of others dining at the bar. It makes for a very uncomfortable experience and since most of the bottles are not facing forward (space consideration), it makes things even more difficult since the overwhelmed bar maid has to be distracted with questions. We had a terrific experience here! The restaurant and service definitley exceeded our expectations. The hostesses, server, bartender and manager were all extremely pleasant and continued to check in on us throughout our dining experience. I beleive this is a family owned location and it feels like everyone is working together toward the common goal to create memorable experiences for patrons. The regular menu has several options and gives you a good amount of variety. I ordered short ribs and they were so tender and seasoned really well. They fell apart as soon as I put the fork in. I have to say that the loved the crab and roasted corn chowder and the southwest egg rolls with avocado were delicious! This was a great experience at a local gem. Be sure to stop by if you are in the area. You will not be disappointed. Parking is easy. The restaurant is really nice on the inside with a large bar area and a separate dining area. We found this spot during a weekend outing. We were greeted upon entry by several employees and seated immediately . The decor and ambiance is slightly elevated but it feels like a cozy restaurant. They offered several booster seats and alternative seating for our baby. I selected the burger and fries and hubby got the French toast with bacon. The burger was good, the shoestring fries were hot and crispy. The french toast was yummy- good texture and not eggy. I came to visit this place for the first time with a friend today for a Sunday afternoon brunch at 1:00 p.m. plenty of parking out front into the side of the restaurant the parking is shared with other businesses in the area. I requested to be seated at a high table near the window and it was a great spot. Music I'll be on so it's great the music was about from the 1980s to 1990s, mix pop music. Our server Corey was amazing! I had the coffee and apple grilled chicken burger. The coffee was just okay It wasn't as hot as I would like it to be. The grilled apple burger was just okay but it did come with shoestring fries that I literally ate the crumbs of. The fries were so good!! I also got a virgin bloody Mary hahaha I don't drink but I did miss having a bloody Mary so I substituted lol. Tomato juice with the fixings lol My friend had the crab soup and he said it was delicious I could smell it and it looked really rich creamy and good. I visited this restaurant as a recommendation for a place nearby where I was visiting for the day. I perused the menu several times not knowing what to try but I eventually settled for the Blackened Pasta with Chicken. I modified it to add a side of garlic bread. The pasta was pretty good but was lacking a bit more seasoning for flavor. I really enjoyed the fact that all food is prepared to order ( so you can make pretty much any modifications) and bread is made daily in-house. I didn't get a beverage , so the next time I visit, I would try out their drink/cocktail menu. My friend ordered the French Dip sandwich, which he gave a great review. What a nice place. Was greeted at the door by a nice chap. The menu isn't overwhelming but had many foods to choose from. Our server was really nice and attentive I think he was Sean. Hubs got a brunch skillet which he loved. Sausage, potatoes and eggs in a cute little skillet. I got the French dip and it was delicious. Lots of prime rib meat and horseradish sauce and au jus for dipping. I loved the horseradish sauce so much I was dipping my fries in it. We got dessert hubs got chocolate mousse which he loved. I don't know what has changed here, but the last few experiences I've had at Glyndon Grill (since November or so) have been Michelin Star worthy. Everything (and everyone) has been great, from the moment you are greeted to the moment you leave. I've had two lunches and a brunch here since November, and the quality of the food seems to be carefully curated along with its preparation and presentation. If I had reviewed this place a couple years ago I would have said it was okay, maybe above average, but now it is the only restaurant that I daydream about returning to. I highly recommend the Glyndon Burger with shoestring fries. It might be the best or at least in the top 3 burgers I've ever had. My guest recently had the Kale Cauliflower Salad and said the same thing - best salad she's ever had. My brunch experience here (with kids) was no different -- just imagine the perfect French Toast, Omelet, etc and that's what you get at Glyndon Grill. No expense seems to be spared. My waitress even comped us a full dessert of my daughter's choice for her birthday recently -- it was the Fried Donut Hole A La Mode with Apples, and this wasn't a small portion either, it was enough for 3 of us to share and it was divine. I would have taken pictures but was too distracted and stunned by how good everything was, so it was all gone by the time I thought to take a photo. In conclusion-- someone at Glyndon Grill gets it and cares an awful lot about the food and service and isn't just passing that expense on to the menu prices, which are remarkably affordable for what you get. read more

Second, we had planned Mothers Day brunch and when we arrived, they had filled the restaurant with plastic patio tables (with tablecloths) and white plastic pool chairs. Super solid experience at Glyndon Grill for the first time. Seated upon entering with reservation on a Friday evening. Thought I had my meal picked out until the server went over the specials. How can you pass up mahi mahi over Parmesan risotto with veggies and a couple of grilled shrimp. It was delicious!!! The food came lightening fast, which sometimes worries me, but all of our dinners tasted freshly cooked and came out hot. Was pleasantly surprised! Ended the meal with the pineapple upside down cake. Included a scoop of ice cream (added bonus), and was perfectly light and fluffy. Huge portion, plenty to share between three. It was just the right amount of sweet. I took a chance and called to inquire about dine in and was pleasantly surprised to find they were still doing indoor dining! Very socially distanced, everyone wearing masks and customers had to wear masks as well. I had not been here since last summer and I remember their food being really good. This evening I was taking it light so got the crispy chicken salad and my friend got the shrimp and grits. The salad was great, the chicken was perfectly seasoned and crispy. The shrimp and grits were good but had a few too many onions in the grits which was a very interesting way to make them and the shrimp and spicy sausage added the perfect amount of heat. The service was slow once the food finally came out even though there were only 3 tables of guests. Came in for a dinner with my parents and husband on Wednesday night at the tail end of a busy night around 7:30. But we were able to got a table fairly quick without a reservation. As always our food is a solid 4-5 stars. Everything tasted good and perfectly seasoned. Crab soup was creamy and delicious. Our burger was amazing. Kale salad was great. Mango and mandarin salad was juicy and colorful. Short ribs was tender. Calamari was slightly over salted, and they only gave us a 1/2 small container of marinara sauce. So we asked for more. However the service we received from Aubrey B was a totally different story... We all wanted water without ice. Our waitress got us water with ice. She did gave us water without ice once she knew she made a mistake. My parents ordered crab soup. They got their soup quickly but without any crackers or bread till we asked. Aubrey ask if we wanted crackers or bread. My mom said both, and she waited for them till her soup was cold. She still forgot to bring any out till we asked a second time. We only got bread. So no crackers for soup. After we finished our starter. She then brought out our entree without collecting any used plates till we asked multiple times. We got their usual 4 people table, if you been there before, you would know their table isn't that big. My dad ordered a side of salad with the short ribs. So they were in 2 separate plates. When she brought out our food, she handed my dad his plate of salad and put the short ribs on the edge of the table without taking his empty soup bowl till we asked. Almost half of his short ribs was off the table. She took the empty soup bowl and was going to leave. We stopped her and asked her to please remove our appetizer plates so we have room for our entrees. At this point, the restaurant started to empty out leaving us one out of 3 tables. We finished our food and waited for her to return and give us boxes and check. By that time, they only had 2 tables left included us. She appeared and started to talk to 2-3 coworkers at the registers. She stood behind the guys and never once looked at us and checked. She then disappeared again before we could get her attention. We waited and waited till another server asked if we needed anything. We told her boxes please and our check. Aubrey came out gave us some boxes then left again. It only took us a minute or two to pack up everything. We thought she will return with our check... but no... she disappeared yet again. Finally a street clothed lady came and asked if we needed anything else. We told her our check please, and we been waiting for a while. Aubrey came back with our check said she wanted to give us time to pack. We felt like we spent more time waiting for Aubrey to return to us than the time we spent eating... In addition my husband's water was empty. He kept moving it closer to the edge of our table hoping she would see it and refill it. Aubrey refilled it exactly 0.5 glass. My husband was so disappointed looking at the half filled glass. He loves his water. He ended up finishing mine. Needless to say we gave her a horrible tip. read more

I went with friends for a delicious lunch. We all ordered different foods and shared. The flatbread with tomatoes and mozzarella had the right amount of spices and cheese to earn a wow after the first bite!
