I tried to refuse again and they said I previously uploaded my old payment. I asked them to show me my old payment. The front desk girl changed her story and said I didn't have it uploaded because they changed the rule since I'd been there last. Ridiculous rule! BEWARE.

They are only interested in extreme diagnosis with not even being open to stages of plan, or preventive measures. They treat you like cattle. 10 people in line waiting to get in on a Saturday, need full payment of your entire dental plan up front before booking the service. I have never been to a dentist where it is supported and allowed for a dental assistant and hygienist to diagnose a patient before the dentist even sees you. Makes me sick thinking others just trust what this dentist says without getting a second opinion. Making money hand over fist this office. *Update* I got a second opinion and do not need ANY dental work. No crown, no root canal, no iInvisalign, no cavities filled, NOTHING NEEDED!!!! Makes me sick people are trusting this dentist and staff. Saved $3,000+ going to an amazing dentist myDental Tech Ridge in Austin. Wonderful Dentist and staff. Excellent service top to bottom. Free consultation. Open on Saturdays! Stop giving One Smile Dental your hard earned money!

On Sunday afternoon I broke my front tooth. I called Castle Dental as soon as they opened on…read moreMonday, explained my situation and they told me to come in as soon as I could. I was there about 40 minutes later expecting to just have a consultation with a plan for repairing my tooth at another time. I was prepared to go a few days with a very unattractive, tooth gaping smile. I was taken to exam room almost immediately. Dr. Cerelli told me my tooth could be repaired with a crown and it could be done at this visit if I had time. When I left the office I had a temporary crown on my tooth (so no gappy smile) and an appointment in 3 weeks to get the permanent crown put on. I have been going to Castle Dental in Bastrop for over 3 years and have never had any complaints but this was over and above what I expected. I have had cleanings and a tooth implant done here in the past. Dr. Cerelli and all the staff are amazing!

This place is horrendous! They used all my insurance. Made partials that are falling apart. Went in…read moreover 7 times to get them adjusted and it was never fixed. Made excuses for it. When she was doing the casting I told her I moved my mouth to align my teeth. She said it was fine. From day one they hurt and was told the bite was off. Over and over I went in . Ya think? Cause I aligned my teeth and didn't let them sit in a natural way. She said it was fine.. excuse after excuse for there mess up. I now own a pair of partials that don't fit and are falling apart after only a year or so. I'm literally glueing them back every 3 months. It is disgraceful the work they do. New manager called me about just under a year later and I told her they were crap and all the hell I went through. . She just said sorry and there is nothing they can do. Excuse me? You made me a crappy pair of partials. Used all my insurance. I can't even wear them. When I do have to so much pain that I take them out as soon as I get in the car from going somewhere . So you can take all my money and leave me with a crappy pair of partials? It's ridiculous how much dental offices can get away with. They also screw up billing all the time. It really makes me not want to go to any dentist. Legit traumatized . I can't afford it now anyway cause they made sure to use all my coverage for BS. Made me a bite guard from hell. Not even able to use that as well. It's horrible. But all I get is a sorry and not we will make it right. Don't waist your time. These people are chaotic all the way around and will rob you blind. The partials were over $2000! 3 teeth and made like crap. Plus the other hundreds for bs things.

I promised myself I would write this review before the end of the year, so here it is!…read more I had a very poor, but formative, experience at Avery Orthodontics. My case was transferred in 2022, but I wanted to complete treatment with another orthodontist and take a mental break before writing this. 1. The sales/mock-up presentation that led me to sign the contract was very different from the treatment that was actually carried out (see photos). I noticed this immediately in the "final" mockup and brought it up. 2. I was told not to worry - that the mock-up "wouldn't look like that in real life." Over time, however, I began to see that it was certainly trending in that direction. And that's all fine. The issue is that it took an excessive amount of effort to get Dr. Barnett to truly listen to and engage with my feedback. At times, I felt dismissed or made to feel unreasonable for raising concerns about my own teeth. I eventually had to learn orthodontic terminology to clearly communicate what I was seeing, and at some point he finally started taking me seriously. Only after a very long, emotionally taxing process and multiple course corrections did things begin to improve. During treatment, I experienced a chipped tooth, went into braces, and incurred significant travel costs flying back to Austin after relocating to Los Angeles. My projected treatment time was 8 months; it ultimately took two-ish years under Dr. Barnett. Toward the end, I decided to transfer my case to another orthodontist. I was happier with the overall direction, communication, and results. The treatment I received at the new orthodontist made the difference in potential care very clear. That said, there was lasting damage. My front teeth now have enamel wear that did not exist prior to treatment, and I recently required a root canal on one of my front teeth under endodontic care (due to orthodontic stress, not hygiene issues). My teeth and enamel were healthy before this process began. This experience was genuinely traumatic, though it also taught me important lessons about self-advocacy as a person and as a patient. Patients often expect doctors to be technical experts but also communicative and attentive. IMPORTANT- The care team and staff were excellent - kind, organized, and professional. They consistently treated me like a human being and were the reason I stayed as long as I did. I see that Dr. Barnett has many positive reviews, and I don't doubt that many patients have had good experiences - especially children whose primary goal is bite correction. However, if you are an adult patient with aesthetic concerns, I would personally recommend an orthodontist who explicitly integrates aesthetic concerns into treatment planning and communication. I will edit later with photos.

I have never left a review before, but I feel compelled to share my experience…read more I would like to begin with the positives. The assistants in the office are very kind, welcoming, and eager to help. They listened carefully to my concerns and even remembered my name after just one visit. Their professionalism and kindness did not go unnoticed. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Barnett was the complete opposite. I initially went in for a removable bottom retainer after my permanent one (which I had for over 25 years) fell off. The assistant created a removable retainer using a scanner, but it never fit properly. I had to return at least three times for adjustments. Each time it was modified, but it continued to fit incorrectly. The retainer was cutting my tongue and the inside of my cheeks and, even more concerning, it began causing my front teeth to shift apart -- creating a gap that I have never had before in my life. On my third visit, Dr. Barnett stated that he did not want me to pay for something that did not work and said he would offer Invisalign instead, comped due to the failed retainer. I made it very clear multiple times that I did not want to pay for another retainer since I had already paid for the first one. He assured me I would not be charged. His assistant was present during this conversation, and when I asked her to confirm what I heard, she stated that she understood the same -- that I would not be charged for Invisalign because the original retainer had failed. At my next appointment, Dr. Barnett attempted to modify the retainer again, further cutting and shaving it down to the point that it had completely lost its integrity. When I calmly mentioned our previous conversation about not being charged for Invisalign, he became visibly upset, stood up, and walked out of the room without saying a word. When he returned, I asked him why he seemed upset. He responded that "everyone expects to get this free." I apologized and assured him I was not trying to offend him -- I was simply referencing what he had previously told me. I chose not to involve his assistant in that moment because I did not want to put her in an uncomfortable position. I left that appointment feeling extremely uncomfortable and never returned. I ultimately had to seek care from another orthodontist and spend $1,000 to correct the gap that developed after wearing the retainer made in his office. Additionally, despite seeing me multiple times, Dr. Barnett never remembered my name and often addressed me incorrectly. While that alone is minor, combined with the overall experience, it reflected a lack of attentiveness and professionalism. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this orthodontist due to concerns regarding communication, professionalism, and integrity.

I am over 70 years old and wanted to do something about my crooked teeth. But, I kept thinking,…read moremaybe I'm too old to have a nice smile. My wonderful general dentist, Dr. Shipra Gupta at Lakeline Family Dental suggested I have a consultation with Dr. Akash Pandya, (Doc Ak) at SmileOn. The first visit was very comprehensive and various treatment options and payment plans were presented. I was grateful that my dental insurance would cover most of the cost. I decided to get the clear Angel aligners. I was awed and a bit overwhelmed by the equipment in the office and the ability to take a few pictures and have aligners made for the year. The front office staff, the patient care coordinator, and the certified dental assistants are GREAT. You can have the best dental work but, staff makes the difference. Always encouraging and happy. And, every staff member has beautiful teeth. That, to me, was a good sign. -- Doc Ak and staff try to make the orthodontist visits a little fun by having monthly contests, raffles, and quizzes. While these activities are probably geared more toward younger patients, I must admit, I did participate in some of them. Prizes are awarded to the monthly winners and are announced in the informative monthly newsletter. Most of the activity with the aligners took place at home. I would take weekly pictures of the aligners in and out of my mouth using the Grin app and then progress to the next aligner after SmileOn review. I didn't think I would get through a years' worth of weekly aligner changes but, here I am, almost at the end of my treatment. Next step - whitening. I AM SO GLAD I MADE THE DECISION TO HAVE MY TEETH STRAIGTENED. I can't imagine a better orthodontist or practice than SmileOn. You deserve a terrific smile.

She was extremely loud and would not let me speak. It was shockingly inappropriate. I finally had to ask one of the other women at the desk to please just give me a refund. I asked if there was anyone else I could speak with but she whispered "that's the manager". I feel so sorry she has to put up with such an awful woman every day. I am just floored they treat customers so poorly. As we left, the manager yelled "can't wait to see your review!" So wildly rude and nasty
