I'm surprised that I haven't written a review yet. I've been coming for about 2 years to Spring St…read more and I've always had a pleasant experience. I wanted to make a point to share about my last visit a couple days ago to illustrate just how great these people are. Monday night I broke a tooth eating dinner. We had expected that I might have a cracked tooth that was bothering me on occasion, but could never identify which tooth while in the dentist office. I Googled Spring St. to see what time they opened in the morning so that I could call and get an appointment. To my surprise, Google had an option to send the business a message AND it said that the business typically responds within an hour. So I thought, "let's try this" and sent a message. Shortly thereafter I got a message from Dr. Romney saying they would call me in the morning to set up an appointment. They opened at 7am Tuesday morning. I noticed on the clock it was 7am and before I had a chance to give them a call, they called me. :) They were able to get me in a 1:30pm that day. Mona is my favorite. She always has a smile on her face which is so nice to see when you walk in the door. Dr. Lassen was able to save my broken tooth and put a crown on it that same day. I was so grateful to the whole team for taking care of and so quickly. I highly recommend Spring St. to whoever is willing to listen.

He texted me when I left there that he would give me my money back, so I can pay somebody else. I feel that this was a great decision. It's a waste of his money to keep making me a set of dentures when they never look right. He is wasting his money and time like I am. This has been a long road, and I have not been satisfied with every pair. So he won't spend anymore money and time.

They are only interested in extreme diagnosis with not even being open to stages of plan, or preventive measures. They treat you like cattle. 10 people in line waiting to get in on a Saturday, need full payment of your entire dental plan up front before booking the service. I have never been to a dentist where it is supported and allowed for a dental assistant and hygienist to diagnose a patient before the dentist even sees you. Makes me sick thinking others just trust what this dentist says without getting a second opinion. Making money hand over fist this office. *Update* I got a second opinion and do not need ANY dental work. No crown, no root canal, no iInvisalign, no cavities filled, NOTHING NEEDED!!!! Makes me sick people are trusting this dentist and staff. Saved $3,000+ going to an amazing dentist myDental Tech Ridge in Austin. Wonderful Dentist and staff. Excellent service top to bottom. Free consultation. Open on Saturdays! Stop giving One Smile Dental your hard earned money!

I went to Oakwood to see Dr. Lin after receiving a bad root canal and crown from another dentist. I…read morewas extremely nervous and honestly pretty upset because I had been dealing with pain and complications for almost a year. I'll even admit I walked in with a bit of an attitude -- I was frustrated, in pain, and had already spent a lot of money trying to fix the issue. From the moment I arrived, the Oakwood staff immediately put me at ease. Everyone was professional, kind, and incredibly accommodating. They were knowledgeable and took the time to really listen to my concerns. Dr. Lin performed a full exam and asked detailed questions about how the previous dentist had completed the procedure. We both came to the conclusion that the previous dentist likely didn't use a safety cover (rubber dam), which allowed an infection to develop under the tooth. What impressed me the most was how thorough Dr. Lin was. The practice has a 3D X-ray machine that my insurance didn't cover, but instead of retreating the tooth blindly, Dr. Lin offered to waive the fee so he could get a clear and accurate picture of the infection area before moving forward. On the day of the procedure, everything was on time and the treatment was done comfortably with no pain. As I walked out of the building, I told my husband I could already feel the pain starting to decrease. By the very next day I was partially eating on that side, and within four days the pain I had been dealing with for almost a year was completely gone. I am incredibly grateful and so thankful for the Oakwood team and Dr. Lin. If you're nervous about dental work or dealing with complications from another dentist, I highly recommend them.

Not realizing how serious it was, I called Oakwood to schedule the consultation and after a few questions they were able to move my appointment up and squeeze me in almost immediately. From the moment I called them, I sensed that they genuinely care about their patients. They provided a clear, honest, easy-to-read estimate for the services. Come day of, I was nervous because root canals have such a negative connotation. The receptionist, the assistant (I believe her name was Lily) and Dr. B exceeded all expectations and made the scary experience extremely comfortable and pain free. The office is very nice and clean and I enjoy that the patient chairs look out a window. Dr. B was very kind, professional, efficient and explained everything thoroughly. I'll even add a bonus...in the aftercare paperwork, they provided his personal cell in case I have any questions or concerns after hours. Let me tell you...I had a procedure once that occurred on a Friday evening before closing and the office is closed on weekends. I got home only to find that the blood wasn't clotting from the procedure so I was bleeding excessively from my mouth for HOURS (almost 9 hours to be exact). I was about to go to the ER when it finally stopped, but in those hours I just wished I had a line of communication to the office staff or dentist to advise me on what to do. The fact that Dr. B provided his number goes to show the level of care you can expect at Oakwood.

If you are receiving bills from this office, be aware that Texas Civil Practice & Remedies Code §…read more16.004(a)(3) states that the statute of limitations for debt collection, including medical bills, is four years. From my understanding, a provider may still send a bill and request payment, but they cannot sue to collect the debt if the four-year period has passed. That's what I'm learning so far, I could be wrong. I want to share my experience so others can be informed. When I spoke with the manager, she told me that "dental" is not "medical," which I found surprising. She also provided statements--not itemized bills--showing changes over time as my insurance continued making payments, even though I asked for proof of prior billing or contact. I was trying to understand why I wasn't notified sooner, as timely coding adjustments, FSA, or other insurance remedies could have been available. She insisted they had sent bills, yet the documents she provided were statements that reflected ongoing insurance payments. This left me confused, especially when she attributed the billing process to a third party--something that doesn't change my concerns as a patient. Additionally, she emailed screenshots of my account, which helped me see what had been happening. I now plan to review everything carefully to determine what is owed and whether it was appropriate for them to reach out in 2025, long after I lost access to the insurance benefits that could have been used in 2020 to address any issues. just as an fyi: 1 - complaints with the Texas Attorney General (https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/consumer-protection) and the CFPB (https://www.consumerfinance.gov/). 2 - if the statute of limitations applies, then for collections, you can dispute it with the credit bureaus, citing the expired statute of limitations. I'm not sure that's the case with mine, but I know I didn't receive accurate information on the calls I had today, so I'll need to do my own research.

She took the time to explain what was going on with my tooth and why it was necessary to retreat my root canal. Immediately upon reviewing my CBCT image she saw that the original dentist missed a canal. (Original one was done 20+ years ago, when the technology was not near advanced as it is today.) She explained this is more common than you would think because these canals are so tiny and can branch off. Root canals are often why people dread the dentist. I can honestly say that this was done with zero discomfort. She was able to remove the old material, locate and clean the extra canal and complete the procedure within an hour. So methodical, precise and efficient. I honestly wish there were more practitioners like her out there! Fabulous work. Thank YOU!

I went in on a Friday and was seen for my root canal on a wendseday the next week. I was seen by Dr. Meenal McNary D.D.S. she was great... very informative and walk you through everything that she will be doing for your teeth. I felt like I was in good hands. Being that this was first root canal ever. I had a Crack in my tooth and she was still able to safe the tooth instead of pulling it. Would highly recommend this Dr. The main reason I did not give all stars is. Be prepared for a sticker shock on what needs to get done. As this place is completely out of network with insurances. They do there best to work with insurance but more than 70% comes out of pocket. My tooth was in bad shape and seeing how I was reffered there. I felt like I could not go anywhere else. I no we have choice but with life happening and time which who has that now days. I choose to go here.
