On Sunday afternoon I broke my front tooth. I called Castle Dental as soon as they opened on…read moreMonday, explained my situation and they told me to come in as soon as I could. I was there about 40 minutes later expecting to just have a consultation with a plan for repairing my tooth at another time. I was prepared to go a few days with a very unattractive, tooth gaping smile. I was taken to exam room almost immediately. Dr. Cerelli told me my tooth could be repaired with a crown and it could be done at this visit if I had time. When I left the office I had a temporary crown on my tooth (so no gappy smile) and an appointment in 3 weeks to get the permanent crown put on. I have been going to Castle Dental in Bastrop for over 3 years and have never had any complaints but this was over and above what I expected. I have had cleanings and a tooth implant done here in the past. Dr. Cerelli and all the staff are amazing!

When she was doing the casting I told her I moved my mouth to align my teeth. She said it was fine. From day one they hurt and was told the bite was off. Over and over I went in . Ya think? Cause I aligned my teeth and didn't let them sit in a natural way. She said it was fine.. excuse after excuse for there mess up. I now own a pair of partials that don't fit and are falling apart after only a year or so. I'm literally glueing them back every 3 months. It is disgraceful the work they do. New manager called me about just under a year later and I told her they were crap and all the hell I went through. . She just said sorry and there is nothing they can do. Excuse me? You made me a crappy pair of partials. Used all my insurance. I can't even wear them. When I do have to so much pain that I take them out as soon as I get in the car from going somewhere . So you can take all my money and leave me with a crappy pair of partials? It's ridiculous how much dental offices can get away with. They also screw up billing all the time. It really makes me not want to go to any dentist. Legit traumatized . I can't afford it now anyway cause they made sure to use all my coverage for BS. Made me a bite guard from hell. Not even able to use that as well. It's horrible. But all I get is a sorry and not we will make it right. Don't waist your time. These people are chaotic all the way around and will rob you blind. The partials were over $2000! 3 teeth and made like crap. Plus the other hundreds for bs things.

He texted me when I left there that he would give me my money back, so I can pay somebody else. I feel that this was a great decision. It's a waste of his money to keep making me a set of dentures when they never look right. He is wasting his money and time like I am. This has been a long road, and I have not been satisfied with every pair. So he won't spend anymore money and time.

They are only interested in extreme diagnosis with not even being open to stages of plan, or preventive measures. They treat you like cattle. 10 people in line waiting to get in on a Saturday, need full payment of your entire dental plan up front before booking the service. I have never been to a dentist where it is supported and allowed for a dental assistant and hygienist to diagnose a patient before the dentist even sees you. Makes me sick thinking others just trust what this dentist says without getting a second opinion. Making money hand over fist this office. *Update* I got a second opinion and do not need ANY dental work. No crown, no root canal, no iInvisalign, no cavities filled, NOTHING NEEDED!!!! Makes me sick people are trusting this dentist and staff. Saved $3,000+ going to an amazing dentist myDental Tech Ridge in Austin. Wonderful Dentist and staff. Excellent service top to bottom. If you are receiving bills from this office, be aware that Texas Civil Practice & Remedies Code §…read more16.004(a)(3) states that the statute of limitations for debt collection, including medical bills, is four years. From my understanding, a provider may still send a bill and request payment, but they cannot sue to collect the debt if the four-year period has passed. That's what I'm learning so far, I could be wrong. I want to share my experience so others can be informed. When I spoke with the manager, she told me that "dental" is not "medical," which I found surprising. She also provided statements--not itemized bills--showing changes over time as my insurance continued making payments, even though I asked for proof of prior billing or contact. I was trying to understand why I wasn't notified sooner, as timely coding adjustments, FSA, or other insurance remedies could have been available. She insisted they had sent bills, yet the documents she provided were statements that reflected ongoing insurance payments. This left me confused, especially when she attributed the billing process to a third party--something that doesn't change my concerns as a patient. Additionally, she emailed screenshots of my account, which helped me see what had been happening. I now plan to review everything carefully to determine what is owed and whether it was appropriate for them to reach out in 2025, long after I lost access to the insurance benefits that could have been used in 2020 to address any issues. just as an fyi: 1 - complaints with the Texas Attorney General (https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/consumer-protection) and the CFPB (https://www.consumerfinance.gov/). 2 - if the statute of limitations applies, then for collections, you can dispute it with the credit bureaus, citing the expired statute of limitations. I'm not sure that's the case with mine, but I know I didn't receive accurate information on the calls I had today, so I'll need to do my own research.

We had seen Dr…read more Alford for a previous issue a couple of years ago, and he was honest with me and super knowledgeable. Last week Dr. Thaker removed my 14 year old's wisdom teeth. He answered all of my questions, and his confidence left me with zero worries about leaving my daughter in his care. Every single person in the office made us feel welcome, heard and cared for. Everything was explained in detail up front as well. On the day of surgery, my daughter expressed anxiety about anesthesia, and our nurse Taylor was exceptionally kind and walked her through each step. After the procedure, my daughter only wanted Taylor to comfort her, which says a great deal about her bedside manner. Despite being busy, she took the extra time to comfort and take care of my girl. We are a lifelong customer and will be back for anything our family needs in terms of oral and facial surgery. Thank y'all for everything.

First of all, the receptionist (Rebecca) was very kind, and the young woman named Taylor was the assistant to the surgeon and sat and asked so many good questions about my mom's medications (my mom is 87 and on a lot of them!) She was easy going and calmed my mom, who can get very anxious in new places. When Dr. Christopher Cason came into the exam room, he couldn't have been more present, considerate, and informative. Plus, he has a British accent and big, brown eyes and seemed very caring, if it's okay to say that about him :) Anyway, after discussing that my mom wouldn't be able to have general anesthesia -- due to the fact she is on blood thinners and takes prolia shots and it could cause severe problems -- I asked the doctor if she NEEDED to have her rear tooth removed as she wasn't having any difficulties nor pain because of it. Dr. Cason said it was NOT necessary, and if, in the future, it became a problem, we could always set up another time for surgery etc. I could see the relief on my mom's face when it was decided we would bypass this surgery. One more thing you should know: they do not accept Medicare at this business, so it saved my mom a lot of money because I don't know what it would have cost, but probably several thousand dollars. In summation, I would definitely return to this oral surgery place because these folks gained my TRUST AND RESPECT! Thank you Taylor, Rebecca and Dr. Cason!
