I'm guessing they may be short handed but service is a little different from a couple years ago. They don't come out as often and they seem to be moving people around so you don't get the same technician all the time. HORRIBLE SERVICE. After signing a one-time contract with June, they sent their person without prior notice. Mind you, we are a hospital. June was very much aware of this fact given she did the walk around complete with photos. I sent the person home as we had patients - he totally understood and says it's happened before. I called June and she said she had no control over the schedule...once the contract is signed, they will send someone at their convenience! I am still awaiting a refund, an apology. Nothing. Chayston was wonderfully professional, pleasant and knowledgeable and explained the problem to the property owner. He gave the owner various options but did not pressure her. We have had Orkin for years. We did a remodel and it took 8 months. Orkin advised us to cancel service the n call them when we're ready. We are ready, but cannot get anyone to call us back or text or email. The mainland office cannot even get the Oahu office to call. My family recently has a bed bugs problem and called Orkin. The service man initially came around a few times to spray the insecticide... but never followed up when he promised to do so. The service man never returned calls. The bed bugs have returned since and still no response from the service man. He was supposed to follow up and re-spray the insecticide because the bedbugs could return... and they did. Now we are back to square one as the bed bugs have returned as Orkin never followed through with the follow up like they said was going to happen. Calling the main office is frustrating as the people there just give you the run around. Or you will be told someone will call back... and no one ever does. Finally after getting through to someone at Orkin, the person simply said that the service man reported "the job is done". So "there is nothing more Orkin can do". Then after complaining, they say someone will get back to you... and of course no one does. After paying over $942.41 for the Orkin service man to spray insecticide a few times... then never follow up like he said... only to have the bed bugs return due to no follow up within a short period of time... that is very poor service. It was really all for nothing. The worst part is when you try to call the main office... you get the run around and no return calls.... no solution. That service man has since stopped answering his cell phone. This is a very sketchy company and would never recommend them! I would actually give them zero stars if I could! read more

Used to be good, but once they changed their scheduling system service went downhill. I have not been able to contact the technician or local branch for the past week for a follow up service; left voicemails and text messages multiple times. I really hope they do get their scheduling back in order because the treatments are effective. This is the only reason they are not getting a one star review. read more

They don't do a good job at patching the walls, it looks messy and they leave everything for you to clean yourself. Incredibly unprofessional and highly dissatisfied. After multiple visits they still miss spots leaving unpatched drilled holes in the wall. I spoke with the manager and he helped with my concerns. At the time I would change my rating to 4 stars. The reason I'm giving 2 stars is the service tech guy say they will come back 2 other times. They did not and did not call. The service guys don't answer their direct number phones. I read other reviews and apparently the service techs tell everyone the same thing but they actually didn't follow up with me or with another customer. Who else? I've been using Orkin for a few years now. I had to pause services for a year due to financial difficulty and they were willing to work with me on finding a way to keep my business by adjusting my pay plan to fit my budget. We've seen a few technicians come and go and it pleases me to say that the guys we've had are still with the company. They just service different areas and not our area anymore. We now have tech Chance and he's awesome! Chance takes his time to make sure we've addressed any critter issues and also educates us on the most effective way to use simple things like a mouse trap. I had no idea that the placement of the traps made a difference in its efficacy to kill the little rodents. Our techs (all of them) have always been proactive in scheduling their visits by calling us a week prior to find a time that works best for us. They show up on time and will always call if they're running early or behind. Although we no longer need to sign the reports, the techs will tell us they're done before they leave. I appreciate that a lot. We have a dog and young children at home. So knowing when they are done allows me to lock up my gate and cut the rugrats loose once the chemicals have had time to dry up. I also have a tech service my mother in laws house in Ewa Beach. I was so glad to see that Abe was going to be her technician. He is able to communicate with my MIL in ilocano which makes it easier for her to understand what he's doing. He can also help explain to her how to best combat any issues around her home. Abe used to service our house years ago so I knew she'd be in good hands. read more

We use Orkin at work and our tech's name is Henry. We could not ask for better service. We've managed to get our pest problem under control so Henry only has to come once a month, but leading up to this we had such a problem with ants and roaches! Like the roaches would be crawling over our silverware in the middle of the day! And the ants would infest our sugar and creamer cannisters pretty much immediately upon opening. It was pretty gross, but our building had been unoccupied for a LONG time and some parts of it still are, so you can imagine how the pests had moved right on in! Also, every couple of years a rat (and family) enter our space (ugh) and Henry is always right on it. He doesn't just come with traps and sprays, he also offers sound advice that helps us eradicate the pests with the least amount of effort. Customer service is awesome and the rates are reasonable, too. There's just no good reason not to choose Orkin! read more

These guys provide quarterly pest service at my mother's place and I thought to inquire about service for mine. They have a central phone number and they wasted ten minutes of my time looking up my mother's account and confirming that she has service, before giving my yet another phone number to call to get actual assistance. I don't know why this company's rating is so low. We just had our initial service... so I'll update as it goes along but the first service was great. The tech reached out the day prior to update me on the time he could come by since he couldn't make the initial time. He was very courteous and wore a mask and gloves and took off his shoes. He filled out paperwork for me even though I could have easily done name and address by myself. He was very respectful and quiet. We had a sleeping baby in the room and he worked so quietly she never even woke up. He explained everything and answered all my questions. He was thorough even though I told him the problem areas he did inspect the entire place and told me that if we had any issues to call him directly and he will come to resolve the issue. To be honest I had service with another company prior to this and they're really weren't thorough and had to come out twice because I still had issues with roaches. And I get they will eat the bait and come out to die. But no, these roaches looked like they weren't even dazed at all .... they were fast. A month and a half after multiple treatments it shouldn't be like that... had the other company's techs been as nice as our Orkin tech, I might have stayed with them but they were kinda rude and more expensive. So it's a no brainer, I'll probably stay with Orkin. Will update on the status of the bugs later. But for now it's five star service ! read more

We had a chronic ant problem, they were coming out of the walls. We tried normal traps and other OTC fixes with no success. They always came back. Even used another pest control service. After one treatment there was definite improvement. After the second treatment, which was done for free, there was no sign of them. Now we just do a light treatment and still have no problems. I began using Orkin in May 2022 for German roaches. I live in a high rise and began to see roaches when a neighbor moved out of their Condo. I am extremely happy with the service I've received from Orkin. Their method is highly effective. Approx. two weeks after treating my home, Orkin completed a secondary treatment, followed by monthly treatments. I am happy to say, I haven't seen a any bugs since the second treatment. We used to have a major mosquito problem which has improved significantly since we started using Orkin Pest Control. They use a combination of monthly spraying and an environmentally friendly growth regulator to provide good control of the mosquitos. I agree with the other poster that when they went to a national computerized service for scheduling appointments it's been much more inconvenient. I've put multiple calls over the past 6 months into the call center trying to establish services for days when I'm not working to little avail. You only get about 2 days notice for the day, and they only email a two hour time range the day before servicing. The only reason I've stayed with Orkin is that my rep continues to respond when we have to reschedule the appointment every. single. time.... The calling and scheduling system sucks but the people I've worked with have done the best they can to work with it. read more

I had a bed bug problem so I called around a couple places. Was looking for eco friendly because I have a 1 year old. I had 2 other companies come to do a estimate before I called orkin. I didn't have good feelings about the other companies. I didn't feel the inspection went that great . I remember my mom telling me about orkin . So I called orkin and the receptionist I think was in the mainland. Orkin is a big company . She was super friendly, helpful and informative. I immediately had a good feeling. I set my appointment. Then I got called from Ian and another call from Charles. They were assigned to do the bed bug treatment. Both informative and professional. I liked how they both called to check in. It makes u feel important and know that u can call and communicate anytime with them. They showed up on time to their appointment professional in the orkin suits n hat u see them on tv with it was pretty cool . Inspection and treatment was done very well. I currently have no bed bugs . I decided to sign up for a roach treatment too since I was so happy with their service. Bed bug treatments go for about $1200 . I know pricey but that's a normal fee for every company I talk to . It's worth it because bed bugs are such a pest. Roach control is about a $100 every 2 months . We got our first Orkin service about 6 months ago. The first guy was nice and did the job, we scheduled a follow up visit about 2 weeks later, he never called and never showed up. I called the office to ask what's going on, they apologized and said someone would call me. Got another technician who was great, came out when he said he would and visited us when we needed him to. Then one day he never showed up for our follow up visit. Called the office, they apologized, and said someone would call me the next day. No one called. I even texted our technician asking if he is still our technician or if we got a new one, and he never responded. I want to continue the services but the communication here needs so much improvement. read more
