Aloha Yelp users! I'm very happy with NexGen. First of all I contacted a number of pest control. Only NexGen gave me a quote, in writing, after I explained exactly what services and the size of my condo was. All others wanted to call to give me a call to give me a quote. I called NexGen and made an appointment for the following week. Technician showed up on time, explained how their company treats or do the services and asked me if I have questions. He answered all my questions and he was done in a timely manner. I've signed up for quarterly treatments. I recommend their services. read more

I called them twice and they never called back. Even if they're backed up they should still have the courtesy to call and say so.

Rescued yet again by Grant and his team! I'm going on 5 years of having a very good relationship with this team of saviors! I sleep so much better at night knowing that my house is protected by NexGen! read more

My dogs get walked a few times a day and unfortunately they brought home some intruders with them after one of their walks who decided to move in with us without an invitation. I messaged Nexgen through Yelp and fortunately for me they have a real flexible schedule and I got an appointment set up for treatment for a very reasonable price. Orlando called me before he came out so I had time to get ready and get my pets ready to get out of the house and grab a few things. He was polite enough to take his boots off outside before he came in to look around. He asked what happened and where the problem areas were and seemed genuinely interested in the situation. He told me what he was going to do and recommendations for the future. He also told me they had a short term warranty if my treatment didn't work. He was very polite and answered all my questions. I left the house and came back a couple of hours later and everything seems well so far. I would recommend NexGen for any pest control treatment, they are very polite, flexible and affordable. read more

I have only ever used Nexgen and will probably never change. Every person I've ever had was kind, patient and willing to explain. The best experience was when I was pregnant and the person that came to assist was so thoughtful in explaining when my home would be safe for me to re-enter, how it would be safe once it dried, and even set up the fans in my home to assist with the drying process while I waited outside. The cost has always been reasonable to me, and once, my bug problem stayed even after the treatment. Nexgen was nice enough to come back and re-treat my home at no additional cost. Definitely my go to company for these services! read more

So disappointed with NEXGEN. I first used them when I had my house when Grant was a one-man company. Now that I downsized to an apartment I used them again. Two months after a treatment, I see roaches again. I called NEXGEN again and they said I would have to pay again since the previous treatment was at a discounted rate and did not come with a warranty. WTF??? So I basically paid to have them not do their jobs and will have to repay again to have them come back. I'm done with NEXGEN and telling my apartment HOA to stop using them. read more

Nexgen is very responsive to inquiries, they provide lots of information based on the customers needs. I have a long multi-legged creature problem in Waikele. Nexgen explained their process, the recommended frequency of services and their prices. Very professional and affordable! Overall, their products work, so I am very satisfied customer! I am happy to support a small local business rather than a mainland chain. read more

Great customer service, no contract. Only 4 stars because they are so booked all the time - not a bad thing for them but when you're dealing with bugs, every day matters. Workers are timely, text and email reminders are on point, price is fair. We have 600 sq ft 2 bed 1 bath, and the 'deep' spray, cabinets and all, is about $130. To follow up Bi monthly is I think $80 for our square footage and scenario. Roaches all but disappeared. Even found a B-52 from outside dead under our bed. The stuff works and seems safe even though we have two kids in the house. 100% recommend Nexgen. Just remember to book your follow up appointment right away, even while you book your initial appointment, do avoid a resurgence of unwanted pests. read more

One downside to island life is the cockroach infestation. Regardless of how much you clean, if you have one dirty neighbor, or someone in your building who is renovating, it can be enough to spread these critters to every unit. I won't ever get used to the sight of cockroaches. The sight of one is enough to give me the heebie jeebies for days because it means there are many more hidden in cupboards, cracks, and crevices. I used to feel comfortable leaving food out in the open for a little while when I lived in the Midwest. I don't dare do that here. I called Nexgen after seeing a few German cockroaches in my bathroom cupboard and around the kitchen. The Nexgen worker sprayed in every room and outside of my apartment. Unfortunately, I still noticed the little monsters weeks later, and I felt that the problem never really went away. When I notified Nexgen, I was told that it was normal to see some come out and die. The fumigation at least decreased the frequency in seeing them out in the open, but I had hoped for better results. After Nexgen came the second time to fumigate, and I was still seeing a few roaches days and weeks later, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I bought Combat roach killing bait strips from the store. A few days after I put out the strips, I didn't see a single cockroach for a long time. I thought the strips worked better than the fumigation and it was ten times cheaper. I plan to hire a professional again and put out the bait strips in between exterminations. Nexgen offers good customer service but I'm planning to give another pest control company a try for my next fumigation. I need someone who is willing to go DEFCON 1 on these creatures using any means necessary. UPDATE: A Yelp friend recommended Ortho Home Defense and it worked like magic. After I sprayed around my home, I haven't seen a single insect in over a month. I recommend trying Ortho Home Defense before calling an exterminator. read more

Erica was very nice and explained her part over the phone. The tech she sent out was pretty clueless and just a young kid. He realy didn't seem to know what he was doing, and was just stuck on getting me to pay the fee he was quoting for termite treatment. He couldn't answer many of my technical questions. I would never use this company again, simply because their tech didn't seem knowledgeable about termite issues AND he spent a lot of time trying get his mobile phone to work for taking photos and some other thing he had to do on the phone. Geez. Total waste of two hours and not much help to me. read more

Grant showed up a few minutes early so bonus points there. He took his time and explained everything. Never have I seen someone so passionate about pest control. Time will tell if the roaches disappear but I'm confident they will. read more

Thank you!!!! Erica and Keanu were very professional and communicated/coordinated well with us. A+ service! Keanu arrived on time and ready to tackle the bugs. Everything was explained clearly, and we felt safe returning with our kids and dog. Will use their service again as needed. read more

I've been using Grant and his guys since he started NexGen many years ago. He trains his guys well and does quality control. I used them for general pest control, ground termite treatments/stakes and have used them in the past for Rodent control. My house is bug-free and my yard a pleasure to hang out in and not be dodging Roaches all the time. Grant is very meticulous and expects the same from his workers. He's very reasonably prized and a real pleasure to work with. The added benefit is I support a Local small business. read more

My first encounter with this company was when we moved into our new home and noticed an issue with American roaches outside. I called a few companies to discuss our concerns and what could be done. Grant was the only one who offered to first check our yard conditions to see what he might be able to offer. Most of the other companies I called simply wanted me to sign up right away for monthly/bi-monthly service contracts without really understanding the problem. Grant walked the property with me and pointed out potential issues and ways I could mitigate the problem, even before attempting pest control services. Much to our surprise, we addressed certain yard issues as Grant recommended and we see much less roaches around at night. I called Grant back for a small termite issue and he was courteous and helpful. He arrived in a timely manner and provided minor spot treatment and even asked about any previous termite tenting history. He educated me about termites and explained a little of their life cycle and tendencies. I can't thank Grant enough for his honesty and professional service. He doesn't just try to make a buck off of you, but really takes the time to understand your problem, diagnosis the issue and educate you on specific pest issues. I highly recommend this business for any of your pest control needs and will always call Grant when we have any issues at our house. read more

Avoid this company. They are one of the cheaper, if not cheapest, companies out there but they are rude, disrespectful and have no concept of time. They are the most unprofessional companies I have ever encountered. We had a contract to start the work at a specific time and have it ready for occupancy by another time. They decided to start work whenever they want, getting in the way of others who try to work. I will spend the extra money to get a quality company with guys who are respectful and professional. read more

We had bed bugs issue from our neighbor. I am glad that we chose Nexgen. Erica was very patient to listen to me. Travis came in few days and spent time with us to explain everything ! Grant was very knowlegible and he and Orlando came always on time ! Grant gave us second treatment in 1 week to make sure to kill all the bed bugs. After the treatment, each room was neatly organized. Thank you for doing meticulous job ! I appreciate them because they made sure to solve our challenge. After reviewing termite and pest control companies on Yelp and getting free estimates I went with NexGen. Grant was very professional from estimate and pre-treatment walkthroughs. On treatment day Grant and his team timely, cordial a d professional.During the subterranean ground treatment, there was a unforeseen accident to the my piping. Grant quickly reacted to mitigate any further damage and quickly called in other professionals to repair the problem. Grant and his team finished the job and followed up with me until everything was to my satisfaction. I would recommend and use them again. read more

These folks are good. They come out every couple of months to service our condo in the Royal Court on Ward. Friendly, very knowledgeable, and competent. For a long time I was mystified where some tiny bugs were coming from. Nexgen sniffed it out right away just from noticing some of these tiny creatures on the door frame as they entered. They told me what they were looking for and discovered the source in some previously opened bags of Japanese Panko bread crumbs. Cleaned out all of my kitchen cabinets and found a few more sources. A big relief to get rid of these pests. Hire this company with confidence. Reasonable price too. read more

The entire Nexgen Team is amazing! We have had Travis & Orlando come and treat our apartment and home and they are super punctual, professional, and do great work. We have had roach and ant problems at both and they have always been available to treat our problems. Scheduling is easy with Robin, who handles the phones and is very courteous and nice. They have incredibly competitive pricing compared to others and even include warranties. One time we found some bugs a month or so after and they came back to respray free of charge (in warranty period). Even for the respray (which I didn't have to pay for), Orlando was super friendly. I have had other companies where when they come back, techs seem to "not care." Not with Nexgen crew. I was worried because I have a dog but they are always super careful to remind us to not come back to the house until the product thoroughly dries. Highly recommended!!! read more

Prior to us moving in, there was an ant and flea problem. We only realized when we moved in. Outside was a jungle, we cleaned up all the debris, dead leaves, dead branches. The ants were those black ghost ants. Just a piece of food crumble left on counter or floor the ants came. It was horrible. Cleaning all the time wasn't enough. We called NEXGEN. Told them our problem and made an appt. Randy arrived on time to our door with a smile! As soon as he saw the problem, he knew where it came from. He sprayed our entire home, corner to corner up and down. He sprayed the problem areas. It's been a month after NEXGENs visit, and we have never seen a single ant again or felt a flea bite. The problem banana palm tree was healed. One thing I like about their product is after two hours of drying, it was safe for my family to be near the treated areas. Randy was very informative about their product, about the ants, and recommended we continue to perform maintance treatment checks semi annually. MOOD: Very Saatisfied, , recommend 100%, price very reasonable. read more

Nexgen visited our house about a week and a half ago they came before we planned to move into our house. I'm so happy I did this pre move! I called a few places before I landed on Nexgen. I was looking for a company that was willing to work with my pest control schedule. Many others do either a one time visit or require a every other month or twice a year schedule. I like that Nexgen allows me to choose when they come and are more flexible with their pricing model. The tech arrived on time and was extremely friendly. They also guarantee their work for the first 30 days. read more

My experiences with Nexgen have only been positive. Erica who is the person that I've spoken to when calling to make appointments. She is super friendly, helpful and professional. I've had Christian and the Owner Grant come out to help us treat drywood termites and pests (German roaches to be specific). Both were punctual and professional. One of my biggest pet peeves is waiting way beyond my appointment time, and both gentleman came exactly at the scheduled time. Nexgen also warranty's their work, so I feel comfortable spending the money knowing if it's not up to standards, we have 30 days to call within reason. Will continue using Nexgen for all my pest control needs. read more

My office was looking for commercial pest control services because the last company we were using was terrible and ghosted us all of a sudden, but that turned out to be the best thing ever because it allowed us to start working with Nexgen. I submitted a request for a quote on Yelp, received a response from them almost immediately, and was able to set up an appointment for an estimate within a day. The staff is really great and Grant was able to work with us to come up with a monthly service that would fit our needs and was also reasonably priced. We are so glad we went with Nexgen. We always get a reminder e-mail about our next appointment, and Daniel, the Nexgen tech, is always on-time, really efficient and does a very thorough job. We're beyond happy with them, and we highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for good pest control services. read more

Nexgen has been our pest control since we bought our place in Mehana. They have done sprays of our condo twice a year and are extremely friendly and reasonable. Used Nexgen in my rental place in Miliani and our house in Ewa. Each time their service has been great. They are on time, get the job done and priced very reasonably. The first time I called was because we had a roach infestation in our Mililani rental. We called and Nexgen roach bombed our place and it worked great. They also sprayed around and inside the house. The roaches did not come back. When we moved into our new place, they also treated our place before we moved in. They never pressured me to start a service, I just call them when I need them or notice any bugs getting inside the house. Great service, I highly recommend, and I will be calling them again soon. read more

If you have a bug problem, call Grant and he will take care of it right away. I've been using these guys for over a year and they are awesome. I had a pretty bad roach problem and needed to look for a exterminator. I remembered seeing a Nexgen truck in the neighborhood so I looked them up on Yelp. They had really good reviews so I decided to give them a try. I talked to Grant, turns out he lives down the road from me, and he was very friendly and quickly set up an appointment. The roaches started showing up dead in a few days. Within a week the problem was pretty much gone. I do the quarterly maintenance to ensure that the critters stop coming around. Use these guys if you have a bug problem. Their prices are great too. read more

We recently (unfortunately) found out that we have termites in our kitchen cabinet. After the shock and anguish passed, I did what anyone in my situation (and lack of knowledge/experience) would do...I went looking for tips and reviews on Yelp! Stumbled onto this company and was instantly impressed with the 5-star rating. Called and spoke to Grant who was very nice, extremely helpful and patient. He worked with me on the phone to try and figure out an appointment time that worked into my schedule. Kudos to him for being helpful and flexible. On the day of the appointment he showed up with a team of people who were equally friendly and professional. They inspected the cabinet and found some areas with evidence of damage. Grant then discussed what they found and made suggestions on what I could do to eradicate the termites. Ultimately we chose a suggestion/service that Grant and his team actually didn't perform. At first I was a bit surprised that he recommended something that they don't themselves offer. But then I realized that he was actually telling me to go that route because it was the best solution for our situation....even though it meant that he would lose our potential business. To me, that was very telling in terms of the kind of business that he runs. It isn't just about the money but rather about helping customers. So even though we couldn't use this company for our specific situation, I would still recommend people to at least contact Grant and his team. I'm confident that he'll steer you in the right direction. read more

I had a possible termite issue and Travis at Nexgen did a great job diagnosing the problem area and answered all my numerous questions with patience and a clear plan of action. Travis came in and identified the issue quickly (termites in cabinet) and explained it in a way that really made sense and provided me with multiple options. He was knowledgeable, no pressure and really made me feel confident about the situation and options, even after my numerous questions. It was simply one of the best experiences I have had and I highly recommend them. read more

I called Grant this past Thursday because our next-door neighbors moved out and we started noticing German roaches in our downstairs bathroom again for the first time since our first treatment back in February. I fully expected to have to wait until after Christmas to get someone out here, but Grant made a miracle happen and got Randy out to my home first thing Saturday morning at a very reasonable price. Grant's sense of urgency was a pleasant surprise; he explained that the longer I waited to treat, the worse the problem would get since the roaches were now looking for a new source of food. Being in connected units, it was inevitable that they would try to come over. Randy was very professional and quick. He was promptly at my home at 8:30AM and was finished about 30 minutes later. Not long after, we found a dying roach! Grant and his team are so caring, reliable, and professional. TWO Five-Star reviews from me! Update 3/23/16: ANOTHER 5 STARS! I got in touch with Grant a few days ago because we had seen roaches IN MY CAR at night. Thank the Pest Control Gods that they treat cars!!!! After following his instructions to vacuum and clear out my car, Grant and his crew set to work spraying and then fogging my vehicle (a 2004 Volvo SUV). As soon as they got started, those buggas started RUNNING out of my vehicle and dying on the spot! I can't describe the strange mix of disgust and glee seeing those damn things run away in terror and then twitching before keeling over ;D After they finished, Grant gave very thorough and explicit instructions to let the car sit for at least 3 hours (the longer, the better), and then to wipe down areas we would be touching with a wet/soapy rag to cut the residue from the fog. He explained how roaches get into your car and infest it, and also gave tips how to keep them out. You can tell Grant is passionate about keeping his customers well-informed and happy. His professional and jovial demeanor is such a refreshing thing to see in a line of work that deals with such icky creatures. You rock, Grant and team! Thanks so much! read more

We continue to use them every three months to upkeep and maintain our residence to be bug free. I recently hired these guys to do our pest control after reading the rave reviews about them. I called and immediately reached the owner Grant and he sounded very sincere and professional. I made an appointment and they were here on time as scheduled. Grant and his colleague were very nice and professional. They did a tour of the house and checked out the problems that we were having. And they addressed the problems. I was very impressed. They were very thorough and spent about 1 hour in my initial appointment. I am so happy that we switched to them. We had another company before ( of which I won't mention the name) and they charged us more and did not do anything. We started getting ant infestation and I realized that the technician was not doing his job. I am so happy that I made the switch. I know that I will be in good hands. Thank you NexGen. I definitely will refer my friends and family to your company. Awesome job! read more

Grant is the man. I emailed a handful of companies to inquire about services and estimates and Nexgen got back very quickly. I first spoke with Robin to set up a walk through / consultation so they could provide me with cost and different service / treatment options. They were able to set that up the day after which was much quicker than most of the other pest control companies. Grant was so thorough and patient during the initial walk through. He was so informative and just enjoyed sharing his knowledge. He is really laid back and doesn't push or over sell his services. He is really punctual and very responsive which is hard to find these days. He and his partner Orland did a wonderful job of treating our property. Overall great experience!!!!!!! read more
