For some reason I was really craving a chili cheeseburger the other day, so I decided to stop by Tommy's. I went through the drive-thru and ordered their classic chili cheeseburger. The burger was pretty good overall. It was a little smaller than I expected, and to be honest the chili itself wasn't super flavorful. That said, it was nice and melty, gooey, and definitely hit the spot. The pickles helped cut through some of the richness and grease, which I appreciated. Was it the best chili cheeseburger I've ever had? Not really. But it wasn't bad either. It satisfied the craving and that's sometimes all you're looking for. Overall, nothing particularly memorable, but I could definitely see myself grabbing one again after a late night out when I'm craving something greasy and comforting. read more

The girl was wrapping our chili cheese fries and completely knocked it over so all the fries and chili was on the paper (not in the boat tray), she just started laughing and walked away. I have a hard time going to LA and NOT getting Tommy's. I am addicted to their chili cheese fries, and they are one of my favorite things to eat on this good Earth. I was driving home to Phoenix on the 10, and saw this one right off the freeway. I stopped inside and placed my order for a chili cheese fries with onions, well done. Paid my money, waited a few minutes and took them out to my car to dig in. How were they? Bomb! Chili Cheese Fries- Tommy's chili cheese fries are the best. None better, anywhere. They are always fantastic. This particular Tommy's may have given me the largest portion of fries I have ever seen. The container they came in was legit filled to the top, like a huge brick full of chili cheese fries. The fries were perfectly crisp and well done, and they piled so much chili and cheese on these things, I'm surprised I didn't get any on my shirt. So freaking delicious! Right off the bat, the place is like if In-and-Out and Wienerschnitzel had a baby. Tommy's started two years earlier in LA than In-and-Out so it's actually the older of the two. Though compared to the OG location, this place feels much corporate but there's indoor dining. Though, a bonus tip is to check their socials for any promos prior. The interior and color palatte of the place are very similar. The main difference is that Tommy's has more menu items and all of them center around chilli. Which is why Tommy's is slighty more expensive due to the added chili that's typically the default. It's a good opinion for late night if you think In-and-Out is too crowded. The chili is decent. Compared to other places, the burger and chilis are greasier (which is how I like it) but it does seem certain facilities are dated. Not as good as the one in Rampart but it scratches an itch. read more

I haven't had Thomas in such a long time and I was craving it. There's one right around the corner from my job. I was really amazed on how high those prices are Now!! I ordered the cheeseburger special with added chili cheese it was close to $20.. The hamburger bun was super hard. I only ate the hamburger patty and even that was OK chili cheese fries are always good. Hit the spot fresh.... I'm not saying all locations but definitely this location. I will not be coming to. I came in for a quick dinner pick-up. Had to use the bathroom so we got off to order. In the bathroom there were dead roaches. I went to tell the two young men at the counter, both seemed far more bothered that I was telling them than concerned they had Roaches! I really wished i had gone across the street at Burger Joint that advertised $1.99 hamburger. I feel bad that i got stuck with basic corporate garbage. Service was fast and efficient, however. I've always wanted to try out Tommy's Hamburgers because in their name it's noted that they are "world famous" so I wanted to see what makes them world famous. So this Tommy's is right next to the 10 East Freeway Ramp. The entrances are clearly marked Exit and Entrance. Most definitely do not mix the two as the exit flows with the exit of the drive-through. The parking lot is pretty big with plenty of wide parking spots. For the inside of the Tommy's, I would have to say that it's pretty clean. It does have a 70's Vibe on the inside, but it's clean. The menu is very straight forward and has a good variety. The menu doesn't tell you exactly what is inside the burger but when you order it, they ask you item by item if you're okay with it. Such as onions, pickles, tomatoes. I ordered a Double Cheese Burger with normal French fries. I don't know if it came with double cheese, but it had two patties. First off, this isn't your normal double cheese burger, it's basically a chili cheese burger. The thing that makes them world famous, is probably their chili. It tasted okay, not over salty, but it was good. The quantity of the burger is that it's okay, it's on the larger side of the scale. I also ordered normal fries, the French fries are really small. I probably only had about 20 French fries. I would highly skip the normal French fries. You come here for the burger, not the fries I suppose. I wish they advertise the chili as part of the burger because when people think Hamburger, they think beef patty, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles. The only thing they gave us was a mediocre hamburger (with NO grilled onions) and fries. The chili cheese dog was completely missing. We also asked for chilis on the side and that was also missing. I've always enjoyed getting some Tommy's burger every now and then, it's always been great, but this time from this location was a total disappointment. I ordered from Uber eats, food didn't take too long so that was good but the chili wasn't as good as usual and there wasn't even much of it on my chili fries or burger. But the worst thing was they sent me a large cup of basically water with a splash of soda syrup. Like it was visibly not good soda, it had needed to be changed out but they went ahead and sent that and it was terrible. Honestly ruined my whole diner, not that it wa even good anyways.
