Located in a small area right after the 10 freeway on Santa Anita. Make sure you go slow or you could pass right by it has about 5-7 parking spots. Came in and were greeted by a nice Asian lady. I ordered a 3 item combo. Ordered bbq pork ($2 up charge) orange chicken and teriyaki chicken. BBQ pork had great flavor. The orange chicken was sweet but light flavor than I'm used to for orange chicken but was hot fresh and had a nice crisp to it. The Teriyaki chicken was hot, and not dry. Definitely can make a second plate of food. We'd definitely come back and try some other things.

Nothing fancy!! Straight to the point! Fast food Chinese. The food was fresh even at the time we arrive 7ish; they were putting out fresh orange chicken. I ordered the 2 combo plate and got the orange chicken 9/10 the beef broccoli 4/10 taste like a plant-based beef substitute and plain white rice 8/10. My aunt got the same exact she got the noodles and I tried them 8/10. If you want fast Chinese food this the place. The price was okay . Parking lot wasn't full and right out front. Good service too.

My 1st time here and it's chinese fast food. I got the 3 item combo and it was a good amount of food for a decent price. The food was tasty. Also it was nice of them to give out red envelope with a horse charm on the inside to celebrate Chinese New Year.

Like others have mentioned, I found this place through their Instagram promotions and decided to give it a shot -- I'm a big Chinese food fan, so it was an easy sell. I ordered a 2-item combo and was happy with the portion sizes overall. The chow mein was solid and on par with other spots I've tried. The teriyaki chicken, unfortunately, came out dry. I also had to try their heavily promoted BBQ pork, though I was a little surprised to see a $2 upcharge for it. Taste-wise it was really good -- super saucy on the outside -- but like the teriyaki chicken, it was dry in the middle. Worth noting: I went about two hours before closing, which might explain the dryness. I'm willing to give it another shot during lunch in hopes the food is fresher then. 3/5 stars -- good flavors, but the execution needs some work.

Great customer service, loved the food! Very flavorful & happy I chose this spot to grab a quick bite to eat. Chow mein was delicious, orange chicken was juicy, & glad the rice wasn't dry.

Everything remains the same but the amount of salt. They've slightly reduced the amount of salt in their rice and overall food--which is awesome! It's more balanced now. They do have more veggie options! They have a Special menu and serve tofu, shrimp broccoli with veggies, and other extra items (non veggie) like their fried rice you can choose either beef or chicken too. I don't recall if they have fish options though. They continue to do catering for parties! I had ordered their large tray for 50+ people for an easter party this year. They have two sizes for catering. i had ordered 3 days in advance, set a time I would pick up, and they pulled through. Our party went crazy for their chow mein, fried rice, and orange chicken. If I could afford to, I would go more than just once a month here. Hopefully I get promoted this year and increase my visits to 3x the visits! Lol! It's my only favorite fast Chinese food spot.

This is a new location, glad I stopped in to try it. Food was delicious, great friendly service. Very generous with the portions. It seems like a typical Chinese Fast food but I enjoyed my choices . The bbq pork was very tasty and no fat on the meat. That usually a thing at fast food . Clean location

I didn't have lunch. We decided to try it out this new place. Orange chicken was tangy, not bad. However the batter wasn't as crunchy as I'd prefer (comparing to Panda Express orange chicken) and it was a bit chewy, even though it was hot when we got the food. Fried chicken, don't know what it's called but it was bland, needed more salt and even spice. Food was hot even though it was served buffet style. Portion is reasonable.

The second visit "could've been better" (which Yelp suggests that a 2 star rating would be appropriate to indicate): we placed quite a simple order - 2x Strawberry Sundaes. We took our number placard (#52) and sat at a table to await our order. After patiently waiting what I would estimate to be approximately 15-20 minutes and seeing quite a few other people served their orders, I did find it odd that it was taking so long to prepare 2x sundaes, so I located the young man who took our order and politely inquired about it. He looked a bit confused, exchanged some unintelligible words one of the guys on the grill, and then looked back at me and said it was not our turn yet (or something to that effect). Okay, fair enough. Maybe there were many orders ahead of us. I took it in good stride and went back to my table. After waiting approximately another 15-20 minutes and seeing that *Order #70* was being given their food, I realized that there was a problem and went back up to the ordering counter. I ended up talking with an old man (who I presume is the owner/manager). I explained the situation, and he inquired who had taken our order. I looked around, and the young man appeared to be nowhere in sight, but I did mention it was he who had had taken our order. The old man apologized and assured us he would take care of our order right away. Sure enough, I saw him beeline to the ice cream machine to start our sundaes, and he delivered them to us within 2-3 minutes. He apologized a second time, stating that it was the young man's 2nd day on the job, and that he otherwise would not have forgiven the transgression. In my experience, the resolution to the absurd wait could have been handled worse (in theory, the old man could certainly have told us to pound sand rather than apologizing and immediately attempting to correct the problem and quickly getting our desserts after being made aware of his employee's failure), but also could have been handled better (comping us for the trivial cost of the sundaes as a remedy/cure would have more effectively salved our irritation from the unnecessary waste of 30+ minutes of our life, and would have been in-line with remedial efforts I have experienced at other eateries, including similar fast food/burger joints). All that said, the sundaes were quite good. They would undoubtedly have tasted better had they been served in a time frame reasonable enough to not spoil the mood. I get that this is not a fine dining restaurant of any sort, but I still expect staff competence to be no worse than that of a McDonald's baseline level. I also get that humans make mistakes, but ... how did a simple order of 2x sundaes get botched this badly, particularly after a good faith attempt to bring the matter to staff's attention??

It was my first time seeing them there, and I was glad to see them, as they've replaced other vendors in the past. I had already eaten, but who can resist a burrito?! My son was getting hungry, so I ordered an Asada Burrito for us to share. It was pretty good; the tortilla was excellent. I wasn't a fan of their rice and beans, but the asada was not bad. They had a few salsas to try. They used those tiny salsa containers, which everyone knows. Restaurants use them to prevent over-indulgence, but it takes a while to get enough salsa because they're so small. I understand it's a cost-saving measure. They were also serving Churros ($3), and I got two. They were okay, a bit doughy in the middle, making me think they were undercooked. The guys working the booth were super friendly and attentive. I appreciate them! Realistically, the burrito was a 3/5, but with the good service and their community support, I'm rounding it up to a 4. Until next time, Chanos! Gracias!

Coco raised the white flag after just one bite of the Reaper chicken burger…read more Coco is from a province in southwest China. Although her province is not as famous for spicy food as Sichuan, it is still a place where people truly love heat. She was the one who taught me how to use chili properly and how to cook in a Sichuan-style spicy way. But even she could not handle one bite of the Reaper flavor at Dave's Hot Chicken. She called it "chemical spicy", not the joyful, flavorful kind of spicy you get from serious Sichuan food. This was my first time visiting Dave's Hot Chicken. I am not really a fried chicken person, and I am definitely not a fast-food person. But I became curious after reading a Business Insider newsletter that ranked Dave's Hot Chicken as one of the most popular restaurant chains in America in 2025. With that kind of praise, how could I not try it? There is no Dave's Hot Chicken near my home, even though the company is headquartered in Pasadena, so I had to drive all the way to Rosemead. This location is inside a plaza with The Habit, IHOP, Chipotle, and other fast-food chains, right in the middle of a heavily Chinese residential area. The restaurant is easy to spot because of its funny screaming rubber chicken logo. I used to like that chicken a lot, especially the screaming sound, even though it is honestly very noisy. The interior has a modern industrial, almost nightclub-like style, with neon lights and graffiti-style murals. Everything is designed to feel wild, young, and HOT. When I walked in, every table was occupied by Latinos, and about half of them were teenagers, loud and clearly having a good time. What surprised me was that there was not a single Chinese staff member inside, even though the restaurant is right in the middle of a Chinese neighborhood. Since there were only two of us, and since I am not a big fan of fried chicken, we only ordered one combo with two sliders. One was Hot, the third heat level, and the other was Reaper, the extreme level. I had the Hot one. It was actually very good. The chicken was crispy outside and tender inside. Even though it was chicken breast, which is usually not my favorite part, it was still juicy. I would probably rank it as my second favorite fried chicken. Jollibee is still number one for me, but Dave's was better than I expected. The chicken itself was good, except for the Reaper one. My recommendation is simple: do not even try it. Coco was sweating and her face turned pale after one bite, and she is a well-known spicy lover. That should tell you everything. Another recommendation: eat the chicken with Dave's signature sauce. I do not know exactly what is inside, but it tasted like it had some honey mixed in, and it worked really well with the chicken. The waffle-cut fries were also good. They were crispy outside, soft inside, and not too dry. Again, the Hot level, which is the third level, is just right. Trust me. Do not go higher unless you are doing it purely as a challenge.
