2 plate combo
Anthony H.

This is why you can't always buy the hype on social media. They really sold it well making it look like gigantic plates with a lot of food and flavor. Serving size is OK but it's honestly not that great. It just tasted very salted no flavor. Basically a plate full of salt zero flavor. This is mediocre best and that's being generous. This is a one and done for me. I wouldn't come back here even on someone else else's dime.

Located in a small area right after the 10 freeway on Santa Anita. Make sure you go slow or you could pass right by it has about 5-7 parking spots. Came in and were greeted by a nice Asian lady. I ordered a 3 item combo. Ordered bbq pork ($2 up charge) orange chicken and teriyaki chicken. BBQ pork had great flavor. The orange chicken was sweet but light flavor than I'm used to for orange chicken but was hot fresh and had a nice crisp to it. The Teriyaki chicken was hot, and not dry. Definitely can make a second plate of food. We'd definitely come back and try some other things.

I really wanted to like this place. The orange chicken flavor isn't bad but it's mostly batter. The beef and broccoli had large chunks of cartilage and was salty. I should of taken pictures. Only reason it's a 2 star is because the lady was so nice.

Nothing fancy!! Straight to the point! Fast food Chinese. The food was fresh even at the time we arrive 7ish; they were putting out fresh orange chicken. I ordered the 2 combo plate and got the orange chicken 9/10 the beef broccoli 4/10 taste like a plant-based beef substitute and plain white rice 8/10. My aunt got the same exact she got the noodles and I tried them 8/10. If you want fast Chinese food this the place. The price was okay . Parking lot wasn't full and right out front. Good service too.

My 1st time here and it's chinese fast food. I got the 3 item combo and it was a good amount of food for a decent price. The food was tasty. Also it was nice of them to give out red envelope with a horse charm on the inside to celebrate Chinese New Year.

My two item combo with all noodles.

I got the two item combo with chow mien, orange chicken & teriyaki chicken. They pile up the food up to the top of the lid. Something that you never see at Panda Express. A two item combo with a small drink is around $15.00. A little bit on the expensive side. The food was delicious. I will be back.

Two item Combo 2 Teriyaki Chicken BBQ Pork

Like others have mentioned, I found this place through their Instagram promotions and decided to give it a shot -- I'm a big Chinese food fan, so it was an easy sell. I ordered a 2-item combo and was happy with the portion sizes overall. The chow mein was solid and on par with other spots I've tried. The teriyaki chicken, unfortunately, came out dry. I also had to try their heavily promoted BBQ pork, though I was a little surprised to see a $2 upcharge for it. Taste-wise it was really good -- super saucy on the outside -- but like the teriyaki chicken, it was dry in the middle. Worth noting: I went about two hours before closing, which might explain the dryness. I'm willing to give it another shot during lunch in hopes the food is fresher then. 3/5 stars -- good flavors, but the execution needs some work.

Everything remains the same but the amount of salt. They've slightly reduced the amount of salt in their rice and overall food--which is awesome! It's more balanced now. They do have more veggie options! They have a Special menu and serve tofu, shrimp broccoli with veggies, and other extra items (non veggie) like their fried rice you can choose either beef or chicken too. I don't recall if they have fish options though. They continue to do catering for parties! I had ordered their large tray for 50+ people for an easter party this year. They have two sizes for catering. i had ordered 3 days in advance, set a time I would pick up, and they pulled through. Our party went crazy for their chow mein, fried rice, and orange chicken. If I could afford to, I would go more than just once a month here. Hopefully I get promoted this year and increase my visits to 3x the visits! Lol! It's my only favorite fast Chinese food spot.

Great customer service, loved the food! Very flavorful & happy I chose this spot to grab a quick bite to eat. Chow mein was delicious, orange chicken was juicy, & glad the rice wasn't dry.

Not sure why this place is called Boston Lobster, but this outstanding restaurant in the San…read moreGabriel Valley focuses on Cantonese and Vietnamese flavors. Their signature dish - their "house special lobster"- is the most flavorful preparation of lobster that one can have. The lobster is fried and the juicy bites of meat is layered with garlic, green onions, and sweetness. If you're lucky, you might get some roe, which gives extra salinity. An order of lobster presently costs $34/lb and a "small lobster" will weigh 3-4 lbs; therefore, I only order this signature dish for special occasions. Even if you don't want lobster, don't fret as the rest of the menu is equally delicious. Their "yang chow fried rice", crab and fish maw soup, beef loc lac, and clams with basil sauce are all personal favorites. I love their lunch specials as their entrees come with rice, but at a slightly lower price. The food is top notch, and it brings amazing Vietnamese and Cantonese flavors to this location in the San Gabriel Valley. For a special occasion with my wife or with a group, this is always a winning pick.

Thankfully, they were incredibly gracious and accommodating when we showed up. The food is served family style, so we got to sample a little bit of everything. The lobster was cut and fried in a way that made the meat tucked inside the shell really easy to get to, which made the whole experience so enjoyable. And that gravy... I was literally sucking on the lobster shell trying to get every last bit. So, so good. We also had a stir-fried green vegetable--possibly watercress--and it was delicious. Simple, savory, and cooked just right. I loved having something fresh and green alongside all the richer dishes. Great food, warm service, and such a fun meal to share with a group. I'll definitely be back.
