The food here is phenomenal! We are obsessed with the tacos and burritos, be sure to ask for extra salsa as it is delicious as well! Prices are very fair, the food is made to order quickly, and the portions are generous. They have a small parking lot and a couple of benches for outside seating, also packaged well to go. I am so glad to see that old school places like this are still around, if I lived closer, I would be here all the time, highly recommended!

Taco Treat is one of those rare gems that's been holding it down for decades -- the kind of old-school spot that reminds you what real neighborhood food feels like. Tucked on the corner of Live Oak, this tiny walk-up stand has been serving up the same simple, delicious comfort food for generations, and it's still as good as ever. Everything about this place feels nostalgic -- from the hand-painted signs and "Cash Only" window to the smell of grilled burgers and fresh tortillas as you walk up. The bean & cheese burrito is a local favorite (simple but perfect), and the green chile burrito has that old-school SoCal flavor that's hard to find anymore. Their taco burger and chili cheese fries are next-level if you're craving something hearty. The prices are fair, the food portions are generous, and the service is always friendly and fast. It's the kind of place that hasn't changed much over the years -- and that's exactly what makes it special. If you grew up in the area, Taco Treat is part of your memories. And if you're new here, it's a piece of local history worth tasting. 74 E Live Oak Ave, Arcadia, CA Cash only -- bring bills! -try: Green Chile Burrito, Taco, Homemade salsa Basic but good for the price

One of the best bean burritos around. They are deep fried so of course that makes it even better. It's full of cheese so it's best eaten warm when the cheese is nice and gooey. We have also ordered the hamburger combo, tostada salad as well as onion rings. The onion rings were always a little too salty for me. The hamburger tasted good but the tostado for us was just ok. They only take cash. Plenty of parking and outdoor seating provide an opportunity to eat that warm burrito right away. No inside seating. Staff is friendly but the food takes a bit of time so be prepared.

What I Ordered: -Fried Bean and Cheese Burrito $4.15 Pro Tip: There's a Special on Monday + Tuesdays where you can get a Bean Burrito for $3.80 or a Tostadas for $6.45. I've passed by Taco Treat several times and I finally had the opportunity to stop in for one of their famous Fried Bean and Cheese Burritos. I will be honest I'm not always a fan of a Bean and Cheese Burritos, but as they say frying something will make anything taste good. I won't be so harsh on the Bean and Cheese Burrito because it really hit the spot and blew away my expectations. They make them to order! Be prepared to wait awhile for your food especially when they're busy. Good things in life are worth the wait and Taco Treat's Fried Bean and Cheese Burrito is worth the wait! I loved how goey their cheese was (Obviously - I know). The Fried Bean and Cheese Burrito has a nice crunch to it. The red salsa wasn't overly spicy, but it had a nice peppery taste to it. I will definitely be back for one of those Fried Bean and Cheese Burritos! Taco Treat has converted me over to Bean and Cheese Burritos.

Ordered at the window, the lady who took our order was friendly and answered the questions we had. We ordered the chile verde burrito, that tasted good and was good ground beef. We liked the bean and cheese burrito a little more it has a good cheese pull. The taco shop has a couple benches to eat around that were clean and decent amount of parking available. It was a nice day outside not too hot, Taco Treat is cash only. So bring out the Benjamin's :)

Been coming here for years. Pick-up orders for me only. Can't beat the bean and cheese burritos (chimichangas), the tacos are good and I've had the tostadas huuuge. Definitely way better then Taco Lita. This my go-to spot for white people mexican food lol. Service is good and the food is fresh..

Wow! Bean and cheese burrito? You think you've had a good one. It's crunchy and perfect! I'm hooked and now have a guilty pleasure in Temple City. You have to taste to know, try it and you will want to turn your buds on to it. Great customer service and the food rocks !

I love bean and cheese burritos and this one was really good. It was hot and crunchy. I also got a crunchy beef taco. The lady working the window was very nice. The restaurant was clean, with places to eat outside. There was plenty of parking.

This is probably one of the few places in my life that I drove by and thought I'm turning around and trying it. I'm so so so glad I did. I was just on Live Oak for the sole purpose of going to the 605 freeway. I saw that old school sign and took that as a sign to at least check it out without knowing what to expect. It's a small ish menu of burgers and Mexican (More like American Mexican) food. It's the epitome of a mom and pop type place in the best way. No frills no flashy signs and decor. Just food, drink, and benches outside. And also cash only. The people working there are friendly. On to the food. Being that I'm a vegetarian with the occasional moments of eating fish, I saw that my options were limited. My eyes were glued on the "Bean and cheese" written on the window and figured it must be good to be advertised in such big letters. I ordered 2 and seriously, one of the greatest things ever! No where does it say that it's a deep fried burrito but that adds to how delicious it is. It's a huge deep fried burrito that's full of beans and cheese. Despite being fried it doesn't feel greasy. It comes out piping hot, like super hot to the point of having to be careful. The cheese pull on this thing is crazy even when you get near the bottom. I still remember burning my mouth the first time. The addition that puts the burrito over the top is their "Hot Sauce." Personally I don't find any spice in it but it's very flavorful. Don't know what's it it but there's definitely a lot going on there. It helps to cut down the richness of the deep fried burrito making this perfect combination that I can keep eating. I've tried the tostada that's also on the window but honestly it's lacking seasoning and my go to will always be that burrito. It's a meal for a little $4. I'm so glad I gave the place a shot and I stop by whenever I'm around and sometimes drive out of the way to get here just to get my fix.

The location is right on Liveoak and is easy to find. The food reminds me of when I was growing up and deep-fried foods were all the craze. Well in these times, Deep-fried is not as popular in my eyes and to me, something from another era. However, the food is tasty and a super soft burrito skin is offered to those who really don't want all the grease. Something that intrigued me is the taco salad, which meets my needs and probably healthier than deep-fried, but at almost thirteen dollars, it really did not sound like a great deal. However, I will try it the next time I come here, and will try the burgers to see how much of my childhood I can remember...

Not sure that I have seen same employees there, seems there's often new faces. HOWEVER, one thing that we thought was being maintained was the customer service but that changed instantly with last nights visit. The register young man, Dylan was quite something. He was not welcoming whatsoever- it was like he was upset we came in. When ordering his face was stone cold, no manners, tone of voice was rude. We were being naturally courteous but he was not returning the manners. He had a condescending tone & expressionless face. Not sure of his age, but it honestly reminded me of a teenager whose parents had reprimanded him and now he had an attitude. It's like cmon you're at the register face to face with people. it's an interaction of a few minutes with each paying customer If you can't deal with the volume of people interaction, that's not the place for you. I explained it to her and she apologized on his behalf and said she'd bring the manger over to talk to us. Couple of minutes went by and she came back and said I told the supervisor and they will have a talk with him. I could be wrong but there was no obvious supervisor there (or at least one that took the complaint seriously) at nearly 10pm. Within 5 mins that same young lady, the register young man and another young man that was wiping tables, were exchanging laughs, not sure about that. We didn't ask for the manager nor did we need to see the manager because we weren't looking to get anything. But anyway, yea this in n out is mid, like rest. Hit or miss.
