Family dinner for my Birthday. Included tacos with bone marrow. Meat in tacos was fatty tough and very greasy. Bone marrow chunky and not edible. Burger was just ok the 5 fries on the plate yes I said 5 under cooked cold,white not sure they seen fryer. Appetiser steak was cold like from freezer server had to see the amount of food left on plates and didn't ask. On a positive the pineapple salsa was good. We dined here last night and I was a bit nervous after seeing the reviews but it was such a great experience and the food was *chefs kiss* . It's very authentic Mexican food (I'm Latina so I'm very critical) and the quality of food was so delicious. The service was quick and our server provided great service as well. Our first time here. We tried to make a reservation but both phone lines were down. Without a reservation we were seated at the bar. The ambience is first class. Love the decor and attention to detail. All I can say is EVERYTHING was amazing. Food was delicious. My husband had the salmon and I had the baked potato. I never had a potato made this way before. Not sure who the "DJ" was but that was not good. 8/30 7-8pm. Not sure if it was the acoustics of the room or his set up but not only could we not distinguish the songs, but overall it felt like we were eating dinner in a strip club. The tables around us were all joking that the music as off, but you couldn't hold a conversation to ignore it. Not a pleasant atmosphere. The pricing unfortunately does not match the quality of food and service. That being said our waiter was great he did everything in his power to make it right. They weren't packed, so I'm not sure what the hold up was on our drinks. The bartender never made our drinks so our waiter had to make them. Our octopus was overcooked like a chicharron, 2 of our guests didn't get their food until we were all done eating, and one of my sides arrived as I finished my plate. The bone marrow was a disappointment but our waiter brought out 6 more to help with all the hiccups... Mind you it was good food but could have been so much better! I was excited to try this new place! Unfortunately, the food and drinks were subpar. It is a pricey restaurant, the expectation to have an elevated plate along with amazing drinks is the expectation. We ordered guacamole (all we could taste was the lime), an empanada (it was ok) and tacos (they were very greasy) the meat was bland and not tender. The kitchen definitely needs to change things up. I went in Saturday afternoon for an early dinner with my girlfriends. Ambience was beautiful. Our server was very kind and knowledgeable. We sat down ordered a variety of tacos and the queso fundido. it was all very flavorful. Our cocktails were delicious and very refreshing. The only downside or complaint I would have is that we were sitting in front of the open kitchen and they were distractingly loud. Mostly the cook who kept walking from the kitchen to the bar. He was screaming a lot we couldn't even hear the music. It sounded like we were having dinner at a daycare versus a steakhouse. I would definitely recommend coming for the food and drinks. When you first walk in you feel like this restaurant should be somewhere on Scottsdale Road, thank God it's here in Gilbert !! This place is awesome. Service was great. We didn't wait. more than five minutes to be seated. Drinks were amazing. We had the guacamole and the tuna tiradito as appetizers, which were fantastic. We had the skirt steak, and the tenderloin al trapo which were both tender, and very flavorful. Ps. Ask for extra chimichurri sauce, it's the best I've had. We ended with the lava cake which came with some raspberry sorbet WOW and the flan which was very smooth and creamy . The whole experience was incredible. Overcooked my $24 burger. Music was way too loud. We asked them to turn it down and they didn't. Well overpriced. The server was courteous, but took 15 minutes to bring me my check after I asked for it. The tortilla soup was good, but they brought my meal literally two minutes after they brought me the soup so the table was crammed with plates. So much potential but fell just a tad short in terms of Food prep, service and other issues for the price paid. To start, the Ambiance and decor is very cool. Love the charred wood and wood light fixtures. Where they fell short is the amount of flies buzzing around and the sunshine blazing in the window kept the temperature in the place, hot! Music was good and unique. Great vibe. I started with a chipped plate and saw another couple send their plates in for being dirty as well. The guacamole appy was delightful but we requested more chips and the waiter said that's a common request. Then fix that! Then we had to pay for them. The steak we ordered was under cooked and had to get cooked further not one but two times. A steak place should know how to cook a steak but at least it was tasty when it was done to Med Well as requested. Sides were good also but had to eat them while hot waiting for my steak. Lastly the place got packed for Father's Day and they didn't have enough staff which then led to our server not being able to get back to us timely and we sat for 15 minutes waiting for the bill. The guys was awesome and we felt sorry for him since he had our table and one all the way across the restaurant. So Origen ya got some things to fix. We will be back for another try. read more

The $59 piece of fish was thin and bony, not big enough to make a small sandwich! They were out of several menu items as well as water glasses! The ambiance consisted of kitchen noise on one side and a rock concert on the other! It was impossible to carry on a conversation or hear the server. The fish came without any sides so we ordered fries, which arrived long after the fish and were priced at $1 each! $14 for a small dish! Pork belly taco. This was a first experience for me coming here and it was such a cool vibe. The menu was very different. I could not read or understand much of anything on it, but I trusted my waitress and she did not steer me wrong. we tried a couple different taco dishes. They were very, very tasty. They served an amazing appetizer. Don't ask me what was in it, but it was so good they even brought seconds. It was a really cool experience. There's a great vibe with the atmosphere and the place was packed. It was shocking to me that I had never heard of this place. It's a great little area tucked away in Gilbert, Arizona that you wouldn't know. Is there unless you live in the area, anyhow, super cool place oh, they also have live music, which was actually really good. That's a rare thing to find in any city especially Gilbert.
