1 STEAMED BBQ PORK BUN GARLIC PORK GREEN BEAN
    Keen B.

I'm gonna rate each food we ordered and service. XLB 3/5 Did not looked appealing, plenty of meat and tasted just okay. . GARLIC PORK GREEN BEANS 5/5 That's stuff was good! Lots of flavor. STEAMED BBQ PORK BUN 4/5 flavor was good but needed more meat. HAR GAW 4.5/5 Had 2 good size shrimp inside. SHU MAI 4/5 Tasty but could be bigger. STICKY RICE 5.5/5 Great filling! It had Chinese Sausage and Salted Egg. Which is a plus!. Other Dim sum place has only pork fillings. PUFF PASTRY WITH MEAT 2/5 It was dry and lacking flavor. BAKED BBQ PORK BUN 6/5 Was the star of the table that day! Packed lots of flavor sweet, salty and crunchy on the outside. SERVICE 3/5 It was a hit and miss... I wish they would understood me more. I was asking this worker that looked like a manager what food did this server lady brought out to the table next to us that looked good and he did not understand me. When you get your check they automatically add 15% tip to your bill. I wonder if they do this to none Chinese looking patrons. Let me know. Still good place to eat! This place was a live and thriving. Plenty of big tables with turntable to move food around instead of passing food around.

Oriental Tea House has been around since I was a kid and a good option for dim sum in the East Bay. Dim sum is usually not my first option but will always indulge with friends/family on the variety of sweet and savory, baked, steamed, fried, roasted and sautéed items. Visited on a weekday (after Christmas) about 30 mins after opening. Even though they open at 10, the owners were still setting up and waiting for staff to arrive...not sure if the norm. Paper menus to mark your items, wave a server to place your order and then food delivered after about 10 mins Place has been remodeled since I last visited but still the same, no nonsense service. You may even witness yelling across the dining room (as you quickly turn around to see what's going on) only to find out the staff arguing. Not uncommon...lol Fortunately, everyone who helped us was friendly with straightforward service. Items ordered were prepared nicely, light, flavorful, crisp, not oily and delicious. 8 items approx $75 with tax...then the restaurant will charge you a service fee of 15% for lunch and 18% for dinner. Up for debate if that's the tip or not. :/ Lot parking but will fill up by 12pm. A good option for dim sum in the San Leandro area, right off I-580. Bathroom: C+ - floors clean (at opening), paper towel roll by the sink, bright pink soap in a recycled Germ X container

Used to come here for dim sum, but i haven't had time for dim sum lately. This review is for their promo rice plates! For 9.99 you can get the bbq chicken and 10.99 for the duck. It's a great value here as they fill up the to-go boxes. Lots of rice and good portion of protein. These are to-go only, but still a great deal if you're looking for a quick and cheap bite.

It's been awhile since I came here for dimsum. Came on a Saturday morning. Was seated right away. My friends and I ordered various things to share. They provided you a sheet and you mark what you like to order. Food came out piping hot. My fave was the Portuguese egg tart and siu mai and ha gao. Reminder: they automatically add gratuity charge on your bill but if you feel generous, you can also give more.

Came here with the family after church for lunch. It pretty busy for Sunday lunch. The place is huge, plenty of setting area, we didn't have to wait at all for our table. They gave us a menu and gave us time to read through everything. Hot Tea $5.25, was serve as we wait for our order. There are some language barrier but that's not a deal braker for us as long as they got someone else to help us. The food was delicious. The Shumai and the Har gaw was meaty. The bbq pork is yummy. The bbq puff is not our favorite and the XLB was also just ok. The rest of the food we ordered is otherwise delicious. Would totally come here again. F.Y.I. in the final bill, they add 15% tip already for lunch.

One wait person and he must have walked by our table 50 times to check on us since they had only two tables of guests. He changed our plates since we ordered crab and those shells take up the whole plate. The menu suggested different ways so we chose fried with salted eggs and with kabocha squash. The crab meat wasn't sweet but there's meat. Next dish was crispy noodle with fish and bok choy. Portions were good for three and we got to doggie box. Eggplant with chicken and salted fish. Restaurant eggplant is so yummy. At the end of our meal we got offered red bean soup (not too sweet). They have air conditioning so it got a bit cold but the hot tea was good. They will include 18% in all their bills. They have lunch specials and week day specials. Good that i wasn't very thirsty afterwards so msg was minimal.

Hidden gem on Foothill blvd. You know it's good when there are families gathering for karaoke night. I was craving dim sum only to find out they only serve during lunch time. However, the food here is all fantastic. From the fresh hot tea to every dish that we've tried, I enjoyed it. They offer family style, dim sum, and you can host events here. As we arrived they served us salted peanuts and tea which were the best! Keep in mind, bring some friends because the serving sizes are huge. What we ordered: * salt & pepper shrimp (10/10) so good! * beef chow fun (8/10) amazing, just a little cold when we got it * shrimp wonton soup (12/10) this has to be my favorite of all I have to come back for dim sum but prices are affordable. Bring a group with you! Dim sum is lunch time only!!

Whenever you want a cheap tasty fast DIMSUM treat, come here. It's always delicious and they have the biggest variety of DIMSUM. We came on a Sunday and was seated right away as they have two large rooms. The service is fast and no frills. The DIMSUM taste fresh and is fried perfectly.

Its our first time here recommended by my hubby's co worker and turned out okay. It's huge too because looking from the outside you would think it's just a hole in the wall kind of space! They even have a karaoke stage I think?! It's just a small one though and even has a private room if you want to have a private party. There's 4 of us and we kind of order a little too much lol!! Dimsum: chicken feet/steamed short ribs/siumai/soft tofu roll then peking duck which was $28.99 for a whole one but you slice them yourself though. It was a little challenging plus messy cause they don't give you the right knife to slice it so it was a little struggle. We also had the brocolli, salted fish fried rice which was a little too salty, salt and pepper pork chop, sweet and sour pork which is not on the menu so I think they just improvised by adding sweet sour sauce but without pineapple and bell peppers. So this is disappointing. The staff service is really good but the communication with them is really challenging too so you have to make sure to repeat and clarify what you're ordering. Roast pork is good. Yellow chicken is good. Some of them have big servings and their price is fair and reasonable. There's a lot of room for improvement and I want to come back again for the 2nd time to update my review so for now, I am only giving 3.5 star. Let's see when I come back.

My parents and I have been coming to this location for dimsum for many many years. It's conveniently located near the 580 highway. I definitely recommend making reservations for weekends as they get pretty busy. Like may dimsum places, it can get loud but that's the charm! The food is always good, delicious and more affordable compared to other dimsum options in the Bay Area. Would recommend coming here!

Love dim sum! Im gonna go off of what I usually call the foods Har gow: was delicious Fun guo: not a fan of it, but normally am not a fan of fun guos in general Bbq pork bun: i didnt try Shrimp churn fun: I love churn funs in general, restaurants always have that delicious soy sauce to go with it too. This isnt the best Ive had but cant complain when I get churn fun Pork rib churn fun: not a fan, Im a hater of any churn fun that isnt shrimp. It looks high quality, juicy. Why are there bones, how do you eat this. Bbq pork churn fun: not a fan either obviously but better than the one with bones. The pork flavor is too overpowering Steamed beef ball: love it, cant give a good review cause dont remember much about it Chicken feet: didnt try it. If ur new to this dish. Personally I dont like all the bones but it does taste really good. But the bones are a deal breaker for me. Eating around so many bones Beef flank churn fun claypot: looks pretty, more expensive too. But cant get over the chewiness. The beef gets stuck in your teeth too. Didnt try the rice rolls inside Egg custard bun: didnt try. Pan fried chives dumpling: didnt try Honey walnut prawns: winner, never had a problem with this dish. Always tasty and delicious. Extra Super cheap place for dim sum Tbh the only review u should listen from me is the churn fun. Cause I care about that the most 5/5 cheap dim sum place

Beef chow fun. The noodles stayed soft and did not harden in the refrigerator overnight.

This review is for takeout only. We did not dine in-house although we would like to when we have time. Although it was only takeout, the cashier was very friendly, helpful, and showed me one of the banquet rooms in case I wanted to bring a group. We ordered the chow fun, tomato beef chow mein, and a variety of dim sum. The chow fun was really delicious and made with high-quality noodles that did not turn hard in the refrigerator overnight. That's definitely a plus when you want to heat up your leftovers! I thought the tomato beef chow mein was excellent. I like the fact that it was made with skinny noodles instead of the fat starchy noodles. All the dim sum we ordered was excellent. The siu mai was very meaty, they did not skimp on the ingredients. In fact all the dim sum we ordered was stuffed full with ingredients, they were very generous. This is a good Cantonese restaurant and we would like to come back when we're in the area.

I apologize to my Yelp community. I have failed you. We went to Oriental Tea House back in November of 2023 when we attended a San Francisco forty-Niners football game and my niece told me that they offer Peking Duck for $28.00. She got my attention at Peking Duck, but at $28.00, she got my anticipation. We went for lunch so we can have the Peking Duck and dim sum. The experience was not like any other Chinese restaurant. They were so nice. They even brought out the different teas to let us choose. You order the dim sum from a menu and my, did I over order. We were four people but had enough food for ten. The duck came out and it was served in your not so usual way. I guess that's how they can charge $28.00 when they have you cut up the Peking Duck. It was delicious regardless of how it was served. Everything was very delicious and I would come back again. Maybe I'll bring my own sharp knives to properly cut up the duck.

Does any one know if the peking duck is available during the morning-lunch service?

Are they planning on opening again? Are there new owners or are they the same?

They're open now. Maybe under new management, I'm not sure.

I drove by on 3/15/21, and it was still boarded up. I hope they come back after the pandemic? This place brings back lots of good memories for my family.

Hi, stopped by on March 2022. They're open again. FYI, English name is still the same, the Chinese one changed. They've remodeled a bit too.

Is OTH closed for good now :( :( ? I know they were closed for renovations earlier this year...I miss them

They're open now. Maybe under new management, I'm not sure.

Did Oriental Tea House Shut Down? Both times I drove by this week they are closed.

Closed for a complete renovation. Open in April!

I originally came to Fusion Delight because of the purple interior…read more Seriously. The giant lotus chandeliers, the deep violet lighting, the old-school banquet hall atmosphere - it immediately reminded me of the large Cantonese restaurants that used to define family dining in the Bay Area years ago. But after eating here during a packed weekend dinner service, I realized the real attraction is not the decor. It is the operational consistency. The dining room was completely full, with a long line of people still waiting outside. Under that kind of pressure, many large Chinese restaurants start losing control somewhere: fried dishes soften, stir-fries lose wok hei, food arrives unevenly, service becomes rushed. Fusion Delight somehow keeps the system together. And what impressed me even more was that the staff never became impatient. Even with the restaurant running at full capacity, the servers stayed friendly, patient, and organized. No chaos, no attitude - just steady service under pressure. That is not easy in a restaurant this size. The Mongolian beef was the first thing that stood out. Instead of thin slices hidden under sauce, the beef here is cut unusually thick and long - some pieces nearly two inches. Thick-cut beef is risky because once overcooked it immediately turns tough, but here the meat stayed tender while still carrying proper wok sear and caramelization. That tells me the kitchen understands heat control and timing. The crispy pork intestines were even more impressive. These were clearly braised first, then fried before the final stir-fry. The outside kept its gelatin-rich texture while the inside still carried fat and aroma, but without the unpleasant odor that ruins this dish at weaker restaurants. Even people who normally avoid intestine dishes could probably eat this version comfortably. That level of cleaning and pre-processing matters. The braised lamb with skin was another old-school banquet dish done correctly. The lamb was soft without collapsing, while the skin still retained structure. More importantly, the prep work was meticulous -- no gamey smell, no rough trimming, no shortcuts. The sea cucumber and pork tendon dish also showed strong banquet-kitchen fundamentals. The pork tendon had clearly been oil-expanded beforehand, giving it that proper soft and elastic texture instead of rubbery chewiness. The sea cucumber still retained bite and structure. The Singapore-style rice noodles and scallop egg white fried rice were textbook Cantonese banquet staples. The rice noodles stayed dry and separated while still carrying wok aroma and oil fragrance. The scallop egg white fried rice looked simple, but every grain remained distinct and lightly coated without clumping together. That level of consistency under volume is difficult. Even the red bean dessert soup at the end was handled carefully. The red beans still held their shape instead of dissolving into paste, while the sago remained fully intact and translucent. Most restaurants stop caring once dessert leaves the kitchen. Fusion Delight clearly does not. And honestly, that may be the best way to describe this restaurant overall. Fusion Delight is not trying to be trendy. It is not trying to become minimalist fine dining. It is not trying to be social-media bait. This is a high-volume Chinese banquet restaurant operating with old-school Cantonese production discipline. Hot food arrives hot. Fried dishes stay crisp. Wok hei survives peak hours. Plating still looks intentional during a packed dinner service. That kind of consistency is harder than people think. And somehow, inside a giant purple dining room filled wall-to-wall with families, they make it work. - Dr. C Purple room approved. Wok heat calibrated. Banquet discipline detected. Consistency at scale = correct.

Visited here with my friends on a Wednesday morning…read more The restaurant opens at 10:30 AM, and we arrived a bit early--there were already a few customers waiting outside. However, within about an hour, the restaurant was almost full. Even though it wasn't the weekend, it was still very busy. This is one of my favorite dim sum spots because the food is consistently delicious, especially the siu mai--it's a must-try! The service is fast and friendly, which makes the experience even better. There is also plenty of parking, which is a big plus. The restaurant is spacious, with beautiful purple lighting that really catches the eye. The high ceiling also makes the space feel very open and comfortable. Although this place doesn't have the highest ratings on Yelp, it's definitely still very popular and worth visiting.

Their menu inside and their receipts spell their name as one word...Jingege. Why different on this…read morelisting? There's usually a pretty good line right by the register, so this place is pretty well known by the Asian locals. Shrimp Wonton Noodle Soup ($16/2*) First outing here I sat for lunch and tried this. Surprisingly disappointing seeing how busy and popular this place is. The wontons were okay, decent flavor with a strong sesame oil presence. But they weren't that plump and luxurious, just seemed like homemade/amateur versions. Which is fine, except given the nicer restaurant feel, I just expected something more elevated. The noodles were fine, super thin egg noodles that had a nice QQ. BUT their broth was so bland and unremarkable that it kinda ruined the whole experience. I couldn't even taste/detect the protein that made up the stock, just tasted like murky liquid to me. And zero condiments on the table, so I just ate the wontons and the plain tasting noodles cuz the broth couldn't offer anything to the noodles. Womp womp. And their bowl of choice is very weird to eat from. Super tall bowl that if you leave a spoon in there it will sink and be submerged for you to fish out...in piping hot liquid. If I would have reviewed this place just on this one visit, then it surely would have been a sub 3* rating. But I knew I couldn't leave my impression with that one lone visit. Roast Duck - Half ($20/4*) Came back for some take-out deli items and I was handsomely rewarded. Total 180 experience from the soup outing. Their ducks here are slightly more expensive than most others for the area. But it is still worth it imo. They cut it with good skill and even for a take-out box they present it nicely, with the shape of duck still somewhat intact. The skin is not crisp at all but it is very well rendered. Some pieces were not that salty at all but some other pieces are well seasoned, which I thought was strange. But overall a very solid roast duck is to be found here. There's also a big scoop of these tiny beans that are slightly sweet almost like baked beans just not as gloopy. But the bean texture is very al dente, almost crunchy, which I found very strange. Macao Roast Pork w/ Rice ($19/4.5*) This is crazy good...I'll even say special. Super seasoned pork belly is roasted til the skin gets crisp...like chicharon status, except it is just a very thin layer of crispness. So the balance between the sturdy crunch and juicy flavorful meat was practically perfect. It is definitely on the salty side, almost the same intenseness as eating Spam with white rice, but white rice offsets those salty components beautifully. And they garnish this massive plate with perfectly blanched gai lan (Chinese Broccoli) and some other pickled greens that add a nice sweet and tangy component. So between the decadent pork, white rice and diverse greens offerings just made this a complete one stop shop that could make a regular out of me. There's also a Share Tea next door so I've got a harmonious tandem going on here. Lucky Ducky Me yassss!

It was so nice to eat locally and have a good meal with great parking. They are in the Safeway shopping center and share a lot with them. The place is clean and bright, very inviting. Most of the party arrived before us so we were able to easily find our table. We were set next to the fish take, by the kitchen. It was a good arrangement. We had 2 tables with identical entrees. We ordered: Green Beans, Salt and pepper chicken wings, shrimp fried rice (Everyone's least favorite dish), Chow Fun, duck, and probably some other dishes. The green beans were the best dish. The chicken wings were good, but not as flavorful as people hoped, they probably won't be ordered again. The fired rice was a big disappointed, it had shrimp in it, but it lacked flavor. We didn't get a soup. We also had a steamed fish which was really good, coming from a not big fish fan. It was seasoned with soy sauce and was a big hit with the table. Even my picky nephew ate some. We also had calamari, it wasn't a big hit, we didn't even take it home with the leftovers. We all got tea and we asked for ice water for everyone which was drank along with the tea. If you request it they will bring out forks, my brother in law made the request. I was impressed even the kids used chopsticks. I definitely reccomend this restaurant. Especially for large groups. It's set up for banquets. I can't comment on the bathroom, because we didn't use it.

Since my parents live in Hayward I bring my family here very often as well. Hard to find a good HongKong style restaurants unless I go to San Francisco or Oakland but in Hayward area this is it. Food has been consistently good and dimsum is offered in their entire opening hours. I wish they open more than just Thursdays through Sundays.

The staff told her we wouldn't be seated unless our entire party was present. About 4 people were late, but they still seated us. The restaurant kind of felt old and somewhat dirty. But hey, it was my dad's birthday. I wasn't paying for lunch. We occupied three tables and ordered from both the lunch and dim sum menus. I enjoyed dishes like shiu mai, pork buns, walnut shrimp, fried rice, fish, and fried noodles. The sesame balls were tasty, but the service was slow, and I had to follow up on our order. I didn't care for the bun with the hot dog or the other noodle dish. Later that day, my daughter mentioned she had found hair in a pork bun and that her cousin had eaten it. She also said every item he picked up had hair on it, which was disappointing. I didn't confirm this with my cousin, but it would have been helpful to have someone inform the staff. Fortunately, no one at our table found hair in their food, which was a relief. Overall, the food that I ate was fine, but I wouldn't make a special trip from San Jose to visit again...unless it's a fambam family treat.
