I have been going here for years and love everything about this establishment! Eating-in provides ambiance, grill and sushi construction viewing, and service that will make you feel taken care of. When ordering take out, expect a wait but rest assured, the food will not be lacking. Highly recommend supporting this small business if you're looking for excellent food!

came here to try the sushi here, it's pretty small and has a nice ma and pop feel for a sushi place. so, ma was very polite and nice and warmly give me the menu and offered drinks immediately. so, I got the sushi and sashimi lunch combo and a side order of spicy tuna rolls. all the sushi and sashimi were fresh and made to order, rice was good as well, something I did notice and I enjoy was the sesame seeds rolled on the sushi rolls, it added another layer of flavor. Miso soup was very hot and fresh, not much to say. now the spicy tuna roll, I will say was bit different than I expected, used to having spicy tuna rolls having grinded up tuna with mayo sriracha, then in a whole piece with a very spicy sauce on top, and let me say that sauce was a surprise how spicy it was, it woke me up instantly after one bite. The quite vibe here is nice, and i will have to try another lunch here.

Oriental House is one of those restaurants that's out of place, but you're glad it's there. I don't know how large the Korean population of the area surrounding Pine Bush is, but I have never seen a Korean eating in this place. Nevertheless, the food (authentic Korean cuisine or not) is delicious. The food available here is Korean, but with many Japanese touches. The grilled food is reminiscent of Japanese hibachi/teppanyaki cooking, but with Korean flair such as japchae and bulgogi sauce. Similar to a Japanese hibachi experience, your choice of grilled food comes as a complete meal with soup, salad, and shrimp appetizer. This amount of food would satisfy just-about anyone, but we always get a bit of sushi and seaweed salad in addition. Mr. Oh serves as the restaurant's sole sushi man and grill-master. If the restaurant is busy, expect a relaxed meal with a long wait as Mr. Oh shifts between the sushi bar and grill.

I came in with an idea of Korean food, but soon I realized that their menu had that and more. I decided to order the noodles, and they were delicious as expected. I thought the waitress was lovely. She was really nice. The dinner was delightful, starting with small appetizer of fried gyoza and then salad, and then lastly my noodles with plenty of veggies and mushrooms. The sauces was delicious. It was a nice portion, so I had to take the remainder in a box-to-go. I really liked the interior. Something makes me think that this is a family owned restaurant. I saw people dressed in business attire, a huge family, three people on the side--college friends maybe? It seems not exclusive, but like a place that everyone in town visits for good Asian fusion meals. I saw Japanese sushi and hibachi on the menu.

Combo dinner, salmon steak and filet mignon!

If you check out my posts, we love Korean BBQ. Unfortunately, the meats were all under seasoned. The pork belly was really bland, I tired dipping into the sauces but even that couldn't enhance the taste. My son loves egg soufflé and if you see the picture, this does not compare to the egg soufflés we've been to. Unfortunately, even the kids had a literal bad taste in their mouth. The cooking area was small and the heat not strong enough that after cooking the first 6 half strips of thinly sliced pork belly, we had to wait 7 minutes for the next batch to cook. Yeah, the place does look very deserted but picks up after 7-7:30 pm. Reading other reviews, I'm glad that some people find the place great but for Korean style BBQ and meat flavor, they totally missed the mark. You can definitely improve a lot on this.

Honestly it was refreshing to get good service that felt real. So the beef Ttukbaegi bulgogi, I thoroughly enjoyed, a lot of beef and well flavored and not an overkill of veggies. But would loved some more mushrooms though. The sauce/stew itself was really good, I keep drink it and pouring over my rice. I found the rice okay, but definitely jasmine over hard boiled rice preferred. I liked side salad and wish I had more, it had a-bit of spiced edge and was better than the typical ginger dressing you get. The bubble tea was perfect, not overly sweet and generous on the size of it, but definitely would do better in another glass since straw could not reach the boba pops well enough. another note, always appreciate a place that gives you large glass to refill your water.

I stopped…read moreby for lunch with my top-tier chum, a native of the Kingdom of Sussex who has been here before and has spoken highly of it. I don't know why I was surprised to discover this was in a strip mall, but that's on me. A nice one, at least. The place was relatively busy but we were able to secure a table easily with zero wait time. Pleasant vibes inside. I don't mean this as an insult at all but I was expecting more ethnic decor in line with the restaurant's menu - instead, it's pretty Americanized and feels like a classic suburban NJ establishment. I liked the painted brick on the lefthand side that has Blue Spice's logo/sign on it; spiffy. The bathroom was also a high point, which is...not something I say often. It was very clean and smelled nice, and I liked the dark cruise-ship lighting vibe. We decided to split the scallion pancake app, which was an excellent decision. I work in the city and regularly have this item from a place in Chinatown, and I honestly thought this was better, mostly because it was thicker/denser than what I'm used to. Super tasty and would get that again in a heartbeat. Giant portion as well - we split the pancake, which was roughly the size of a small pizza. My chum had leftovers there, I did not; so it goes with us. I've had a few mediocre chicken katsu experiences of late, so this seemed like a chance for redemption. I ordered the Akiko Curry entree, which was their spin on chicken katsu curry. Honestly wasn't my favorite. Again, a HUGE portion here and was only able to finish about 60% of it despite having a pretty legit appetite coming in. And the presentation value is excellent as well, as far as that goes. This could easily just be a personal palate preference, but I wasn't crazy about the curry itself (which had a weird tang to it) and didn't resemble the standard curry I'm used to with this dish. Also, as you can see from the attached, the curry is basically on the side of the dish, separated from the chicken and rice. Because of that, the chicken is on the dry side, which is my primary beef (pun?) with the item to begin with. So a miss for me, but I could see why other people would like this (and apparently do). The service was excellent, full stop. Our waitress was very nice and personable; she had strong command of the menu and you could see her consistently engaging with other patrons throughout our meal as well. She took several group photos so this is apparently a Kingdom of Sussex hot spot for that, which I wouldn't have guessed. She was so good both of us remarked on it multiple times during the meal, which is a rarity. But a great example of hospitality markedly improving an experience and making what was already an overall positive situation that much better. Huge marks there. Would definitely come back but would explore other parts of the menu once I feasted on the scallion pancake.
