We ordered general Taos chicken combo,shrimp and lobster sauce fried dumplings and hot and sour soup. The soup was excellent . The chicken was just ok. Fried rice was not very good. The food is ok in general. I have to say I've had tastier food from other restaurants. I find it very troubling that none of the workers wore gloves or hairnets when cooking or when in the kitchen. I even seen a worker grab a handful of broccoli with his bare hands and place it in a bowl. They should really look into health and cleanliness standards. read more

This is my go to place in Chester, NY for Chinese take out. Most time I can place an order and it is ready when I arrive in about 10 minutes. They also deliver. The food is always fresh and delicious. They will even make it extra spicy upon request. They have seating, but most people order out. So they have not invested in the seating area. It's more like the tables you see in a mall. Bottom line, if you have a date, get the food to go! read more

AAaagghh where do I start? My husband and I were craving Chinese food and hadn't been to this place yet. It has few reviews but we thought we'd gamble. Never. Ever. Again. I opened the white rice and found a bug in the container. The chicken teriyaki and the outer parts of the chicken are REALLY hard (old chicken I'm assuming). My husband said the same thing about the beef with broccoli. I thought for sure the wonton soup couldn't be messed up-- but the meat inside is hard, REALLY dark and disgusting looking (like I've never seen). We ordered enough of a variety of food where I thought they couldn't mess up EVERYTHING, and I was right. The lo mein and fried rice weren't terrible, but they weren't anything special, either though. Such a disappointment. I'm going to throw away the rest of the food (and eat the pre-packaged crackers for dinner). read more

The coldest place I have ever been in. I got sushi which was a bad idea after stepping inside because it wasn't clean looking and where they make sushi was a foot and a half bar. Salad was just lettuce and my dragon roll was falling apart and cold while the eel should have been warm. This is really just a Chinese food pickup place but wouldn't stop to try it again. read more

We love the food. Service is fast. They do not cook the fries rice with egg like some other places do so it's a plus for me.

While the wontons in the wonton soup were doughy and the hot and sour soup was oily I'll probably give them another chance to redeem themselves. read more

I've been a regular here for the past decade, and Sun Hing has always had solid Chinese food. What makes it for me is their rice - it's smoky, soaked in soy sauce, is full of pork and onions and scallions. It's fast, tasty, and a great price. Delivery is always super quick and efficient. I'm frequently in Monroe/Central Valley area and Sun Hing blows every place out of the water. This is truly the only Chinese food I ever crave anymore. read more

Also my go to Chinese Take-Out place (in Chester, NY), and most times the food is very good as far as take-outs go. When I order plenty of Chinese, I usually go to two different places, because one always prepares some dishes better the the other place and vice-versa. My last two orders there were below average though. If you enjoy a good shrimp with lobster sauce dish, I high suggest you look elsewhere. I tried it twice here over the past year and it's very soupy, bland mostly just cornstarch and water with just a little egg content. Completely disappointed both times. Always one of my favorites and they just don't prepare it good at all! I never had Steak Kew before (Ever), and not only did I not know what the heck it wad, I never even noticed it on a Chinese menu before. Today I had a craving for steak and it just caught my eye on the take out menu I have at home. I Googled it and it looked pretty darn good in the photos like a Korean type flank steak in a dark oyster sauce with assorted pea pods, carrot slices, bamboo shoots, wster chestnuts, etc., ( you get the idea ) and what I got was the #1 most disgusting Chinese dish I ever experienced in my lifetime! I have seen people eat oxtail before ( not for me. Not even a taste), and this is exactly what my Steak Kew looked like with most of the above ingredients. A bunch of round discs surrounded with thick fat and what looked like grizzle, bone, cartilage and bits of meat in the center. At first ai just started digging in and then that hurling feeling started to creep up from my stomach. I now have a feeling that I might have been the very first dope that ever ordered this Steak Kew from this take-out place and they just conjured something up. I managed to eat two pieces (WHY) and just finished the veggies with some of the white rice. This was NO FLANK STEAK or any kind of steak I can tell you for sure. The lady on the phone told me my order was going to take a while and I said that's fine. Now I feeling sick again just thinking about that. Did they go to the back alley and find a cat or something. My cat is layiny down beside me right now with it's tail wagging and I feeling a little wheazy. I better go lie down!! Glad we also ordered the Roast Pork Low Mein to fill ourselves up, because that dish they always get it right and make some of the best around! My favorite dish since I was a mere child. Will I return there again? Of course! Just do-not order these two dishes (trust me on this) or be prepared to say What The!!! Good Luck and Good Eating, Update: Just wanted to update how the rest of my night went after eating just some of this Steak Kew last night. "NOT WELL!!" I was up most of the night back and forth reading the newpapers, magazines, iPhone, etc! Did I make my self clear. Be very careful in what you order from a Chinese take- out folks.
