Worker handling food without gloves or hairnet.
Marly C.

The food is ok in general. I have to say I've had tastier food from other restaurants. I find it very troubling that none of the workers wore gloves or hairnets when cooking or when in the kitchen. I even seen a worker grab a handful of broccoli with his bare hands and place it in a bowl. They should really look into health and cleanliness standards.

My go to Chinese take out. We've been loyal customers since they opened. Food is consistently good and the staff very friendly.

The food I was served the other day wasn't fit for a dog to eat. I threw away 8 bucks. Never again.

We love the food. Service is fast. They do not cook the fries rice with egg like some other places do so it's a plus for me.

Also my go to Chinese Take-Out place (in Chester, NY), and most times the food is very good as far as take-outs go.

The only reason I kept coming back was convenience. After my last visit, I'm done. The difference in how customers are treated is hard to ignore. I've watched staff be friendly and engaging with white customers, then noticeably colder and less welcoming toward Black and Brown customers. It's uncomfortable, and after multiple visits, it doesn't feel like a coincidence. On my last visit, there was a white customer standing behind me while I was ordering. Instead of addressing me directly about my order, the woman at the register looked past me and spoke to her about what I was ordering. That was honestly the final straw. It felt dismissive and disrespectful. I also asked about something not listed on the menu--something that's pretty normal in many Chinese restaurants, especially coming from years of living in and working in NYC, you're used to what NYC spots offer --and the response I got was off-putting, like I was asking for something unreasonable. There's a clear lack of warmth and respect here. Good food isn't enough to make up for that.

The service is always professional, polite, attentive, and friendly. I have never had an order that did not live up to exactly my standards. The owners, excuse me I never got their names, my loss, are lovely and I will miss my favorite delivery man who I understand recently retired. I usually give my order to his son, who speaks to me like an old friend, but tonight I noticed a young lady answered the phone. She was just as friendly as I expected. The son delivered my food. We had a friendly chat, which is very rare especially when you get food delivered these days. . Keep up your higher standards, Hong Kong. Chinese food lovers, especially if you're from New York City, if you haven't tried Hong Kong yet, it's a must. And , it is one of the only local Chinese takeouts that is family run, deliver, and take credit cards. Well done, Hong Kong.

Had to get someone attention to order in, kind of weird but it was fast enough. So when The guy was showing me the menu, was cool of him to make suggestions since first time for me, he did jokingly say the end part of menu is popular since the Americanized Chinese food, I laughed and am like nah am here for the traditional, he give his suggestions in the traditional menu of what's popular, but I settled on beef ribs, white rice, pork dumplings and strawberry boba slush. For the drink, it was very refreshing and just the right amount of sweet, though I wish it had strawberry boba over the tapioca pearls. The pork dumplings were piping hot and very fresh, plenty of filling inside and not greasy. The dipping sauce was tangy and very vinegary forward, definitely a flavor trip. The beef ribs, were so melt in your mouth tender and flavorful, I really like gravy type sauce it was bathed in and really great ladled on the rice. Do wish I had more ribs though, since definitely the part of the meal, plus the plate it comes on, sells the meal. I did really appreciate how kind the people were here and very friendly as well.
