I've watched staff be friendly and engaging with white customers, then noticeably colder and less welcoming toward Black and Brown customers. It's uncomfortable, and after multiple visits, it doesn't feel like a coincidence. On my last visit, there was a white customer standing behind me while I was ordering. Instead of addressing me directly about my order, the woman at the register looked past me and spoke to her about what I was ordering. That was honestly the final straw. It felt dismissive and disrespectful.
